'Leverage'(Sun., 10PM, TNT) series premiere
He's not exactly a superhero, but Oscar winner Timothy Hutton is definitely a modern day Robin Hood as Nate Ford, whose merry band of men and women rob from the corrupt rich and redistribute the wealth to the more honest, hard-working folk who've been duped by the baddies.
Ford is a former insurance investigator with a drinking problem, which is how he and his cohorts -- a thief, a con woman, a computer whiz and a "retrieval specialist" -- know how to crack the code of the shady.
In tonight's opener, that means going up against a shady business exec who stole the airplane designs of his partner in an aeronautics firm.

'Living Proof'(Sat., 9PM, Lifetime)
Harry Connick, Jr. steps away from his usual comedic and musical stylings for this fact-based movie, the uplifting and heartbreaking tale of cancer research doctor Dennis Slamon's journey to get the drug Herceptin approved for breast cancer treatment.
Oscar winner Renee Zellweger is a producer and Bernadette Peters, Regina King and Angie Harmon co-star in the story, which chronicles Slamon's battle against bureaucratic maneuvering and money issues before Herceptin was finally approved in 1998.
Connick and his female cohorts are terrific in the Breast Cancer Awareness Month flick, making a box of Kleenex a necessity for watching the drama unfold.
Naked Cowboy snags a reality show
by Kona Gallagher, posted Aug 21st 2008 3:41PM
If you've ever been to New York City, chances are you've found yourself in the neon Disneyland of Times Square. If you've ever been to Times Square, then you've almost definitely run into The Naked Cowboy. The Naked Cowboy is neither naked, nor a cowboy. Rather, he is a dude who hangs out in the middle of Times Square in a pair of tighty-whities and charges tourists for pictures as he bangs away on an acoustic guitar. He's been doing this for years in all kinds of weather, so for his trouble, he's getting his own reality show. And you went to law school, loser.
The Cowboy's show, brought to us by the producers of the upcoming Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling, is described as basically an American Idol for street performers. However, prospective contestants needn't start on the song and dance lessons: this is purely style over substance.
