by Chris Harnick, posted Apr 16th 2010 3:00PM
Emeril LagasseEmeril Lagasse knows a thing or two about variety. The celebrity chef is taking his years of experience, celebrity friends and his trademark "Bam!" to ION Television in a new variety series.

Each week the chef will tackle a new theme and bring a mix of food, music, games and entertainment with the help of celebrity guests such as Martha Stewart, Jennie Garth, Eli Manning, Tim Gunn and Elmo. Yes, Elmo.

In the premiere episode of 'The Emeril Lagasse Show' (Sun., April 18 at 8PM ET on ION), Emeril welcomes Martha Stewart. The duo tackle a housewarming theme and are joined by former Destiny's Child member Michelle Williams.

Ghost Whisperer to air on three cable networks

by Bob Sassone, posted May 5th 2008 3:06PM

Jennifer Love HewittShhhh...here's some big news about CBS' Ghost Whisperer: it's been picked up by not one, not two, but three different cable networks.

CBS has sold the rights for the Jennifer Love Hewitt, Friday night supernatural drama to the Sci-Fi Channel, WE TV, and ION. I love how the CBS Television Distribution Vice-President says in the article that the show "is about a strong woman who owns her own business and is married to a firefighter, so women relate to that." He left out the part about talking to ghosts. But it should fit in well at the Sci-Fi Channel (ghosts) and WE (strong woman). I have no idea what ION has for programming, but if it's mostly programming about women who own their own small business and talk to ghosts, then they've struck gold with this pick up.

The show sold for $700,000 an episode. Lost is also going to start airing on the Sci-Fi Channel, this fall.

ION hires Boston Legal for fall cases

by Jason Hughes, posted Feb 20th 2008 10:07AM
Boston LegalConsidering how often ABC has opted to not air repeats of Boston Legal during its first four years, it should come as good news to fans of Denny & Alan's buddy dramedy that ION has picked up the series. It plans to re-air the series weeknights in the fall. Personally, I'm thrilled because I missed the first season altogether and various scattered episodes here and there since then. Oh, and Boston Legal isn't streamed at ABC.com.

Alan: "So what do you think of our show going to ION, Denny?"
Denny: "Well I knew technology was making things smaller and smaller, but an ion Alan? Really?"

Killer Wave coming to ION in August -- VIDEO

by Richard Keller, posted Jul 28th 2007 1:29PM

Tom Skerritt portrays a Mr. Burns-like CEO in the miniseries KILLER WAVEYou know, we haven't had a decent made-for-television disaster movie or miniseries since ABC aired the scarefest Fatal Contact: Bird Flu in America last year. Wait, something's wrong with that sentence. Oh yeah, take out the word decent and everything looks better. Anywhosit, thanks to the ION network (you probably remember them as PAX) we now have a new disaster miniseries to whittle away our summer viewing time.

It's called Killer Wave and it's about, you guessed it, a killer tsunami. This time around, though, it isn't a natural occurrence and it doesn't wash away various island nations. In this movie the deadly waves are man-made and they wreak havoc up and down the Eastern Untied States seaboard.
