'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' high school reunionLast night on 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' (Thurs., 10PM ET on FX) the gang decided to attend their high school reunion and, expected, it didn;t work out so well for thm.

Mac and Frank had an unpleasant flashback to their teenage years when they were followed into the bathroom by the formerly "cool kids" from their class. Adriano gives Mac and atomic wedgie, while Frank is ambushed by Sweet Dee. Meanwhile, bully Brad gets a nasty surprise when he whips off Charlie's underpants.

The Race to the Theater on 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' (VIDEO)

'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' - 'Thunder Gun Express'While the story beats of this particular episode of 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' (Thu., 10PM ET on FX) couldn't have been more predictable, it's always in the execution of its ideas that the show shines. Watching the gang try and get across town to watch a movie was one hilarious mishap after another.

We loved Dee getting stuck in the sewers when the wall of water -- and other matters -- was coming, and we loved the smaller moments like Mac's ill-fated attempt to steal a motorcycle when he was too fat to get into the sewers in the first place.

We Finally Learn How Mac Got Fat on 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' (VIDEO)

'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' - 'How Mac Got Fat'The secret was finally revealed in what turned out to be a rather lackluster episode of 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' (Thu., 10PM ET on FX). Considering what a big deal was made of Rob McElhenney gaining all that weight for this season, it hasn't borne the comedic fruits it seemed he intended.

And now, with the episode that finally revealed why he gained all that weight in the first place, it turned out to be somewhat disappointing. The most intriguing thing about the episode was that Charlie was the voice of reason and sanity when everyone else was letting the bar's success go to their heads.

Dee Fears Someone Is Out to Kill Jay Leno on 'It's Always Sunny' (VIDEO)

'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' - 'The Gang Gets Trapped'It's hard to imagine, but 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' (Thu., 10PM ET on FX) may have just had its most ridiculous premise yet. The entire episode saw half of the gang hiding out in a complete stranger's house, while Charlie and Mac manned the van outside. Why were they doing this?

Something about Indiana Jones and an art exhibit made them decide that they needed to secure a vase for a museum from a house. Instead, we got to see Frank, Dee and Dennis move around this house while the family came in and out saying cryptic and confusing things.

Frank Makes a Viral Video on 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' (VIDEO)

Danny DeVito as Frank ReynoldsWould you trust Frank Reynolds (Danny DeVito) to make a video to advertise your establishment? If the answer is yes or even maybe, feast your eyes upon the surreal, random and downright dishonest video he created on this week's 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' (Thu., 10PM ET on FX) before any money changes hands.

Realizing that it's far better to lie in order to get your way, Frank presented the gang with his homemade commercial, which boasted that Paddy's was "the oldest pub in America," frequented by celebrities (but only the fun ones, like Snooki, Charlie Sheen and O.J. Simpson) and offering strippers, Motley Crue and cake for customers, among other, equally unappetizing things.

So much lying, and Paddy's still doesn't seem even vaguely appealing to visit. Don't give up the day job, Frank.

Dennis Faces the Darts Firing Squad on 'It's Always Sunny' (VIDEO)

'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' - 'Chardee MacDennis: The Game of Games'This was a bit of an odd installment for 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' (Thu., 10PM ET on FX) as there was genuinely nothing happening. Usually they get up to some kind of crazy shenanigans, but this week all they did was play a board game.

Nevertheless, it was probably one of the most entertaining installments yet, as 'Chardee MacDennis: The Game of Games' is easily one of the most insane and entertaining games yet. It incorporates the best aspects of drinking games and board games into a crazy mish-mash of experiences.

The Gang Argues Over When It's Okay to Go Looting on 'It's Always Sunny' (VIDEO)

'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' - 'The Storm of the Century'Everyone was in full panic mode as 'the storm of the century' was reportedly bearing down on 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' (Thu., 10:30PM ET on FOX). It gave the gang a chance to open back up their old Y2K bunker, which was a pretty frightening-looking place.

With the supplies depleted, the guys head out to the local superstore to stock up, while Dee barricaded the bar. But when Frank accidentally shot Cricket, they were forced to go out in the storm to take him to the hospital. Only they took a detour to the supermart when Mac bailed on the guys and their supplies.

Frank's Brother Returns, Firing Up a Decades-Old Dispute on 'Always Sunny' (VIDEO)

'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' - 'Frank's Brother'Frank took center stage this week on 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' in an episode that took us back to his wayward youth when he somehow still looked like a 66-year old Danny DeVito. It was triggered when his brother showed up and Frank smashed a bottle over his head.

Probably one of the funniest things about the flashbacks was that both he and character actor Jon Polito played their younger selves, with terrible 1960s wigs. Even better, everyone around DeVito kept insisting he looked 12, instead of the 19 he supposedly was.

Dennis and Dee Experience the New Jersey Shore on 'It's Always Sunny' (VIDEO)

by Catherine Lawson, posted Sep 23rd 2011 8:30AM
'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' S07/E02This week on 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' (Thu., 10PM ET on FX) the gang went to the Jersey Shore so that Dennis and Dee could try re-living their magical childhood.

However, it seems that things on the boardwalk have taken a turn for the worse since then, and not even some Bo Derek cornrows or a sunscreen bottle full of tequila could make it better for the gang.

Somehow, the hapless Dee and Dennis end up getting high on PCP and then are accomplices in an armed robbery that goes tragically wrong.

It's like '10' meets 'Casino' as the pair are told to "DIG!" a grave in the sand.

Danny DeVito Brings 'Always Sunny's' Gutter Humor to 'The View' (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Sep 20th 2011 7:00PM
Danny DeVito is the elder statesman of the 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' cast, but that doesn't mean he's a beacon of maturity. DeVito stopped by 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC) where he talked about the new, depraved 'Sunny' season and gave some Joy and Sherri some equally crass advice on how to make a marriage work.

To start the segment, they showed a clip from the 'Sunny' premiere, in which Frank asked a hooker to marry him, only to see her die of a crack overdose seconds later. "In the seven seasons we've been doing the show, we bring the bar down as low as we can. If you think you're in the gutter, we're gonna excavate that gutter. But we have a lot of fun," he said.

Proving once again that they're fearless, the 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' (Thu., 10PM ET on FX) returned once again to face off against the new fall seasons on the big networks.

So while we're sampling all the new and fairly tame comedy offerings the broadcast networks have to offer, we can follow it up in the 10 o'clock hour with a swift kick in our funny bones.

In its seventh season now, 'Sunny' continues to pull no punches. For this season premiere, the show decided to do their own version of 'Pretty Woman.' It makes sense, since Frank's technically rich. But rather than Julia Roberts, Frank fell in love with a genuine crack wh*re named Roxie.

by Maureen Ryan, posted Sep 15th 2011 2:30PM
The fall deluge is upon us, so to handle all the television that's coming at us, Ryan McGee and I cranked out three Talking TV podcasts this week.

Two of them are devoted to new fall programs. In the first one, we talk about new shows that air on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. In the second podcast, we talk about new programs that air Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The third podcast has three main sections: The FX comedies 'Archer' and 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' (which return Thursday), a discussion of HBO's 'Boardwalk Empire' (which begins its second season Sept. 25) and a tribute to 'Spartacus: Blood and Sand' actor Andy Whitfield, who passed away on Sunday.

Where do you keep your unwanted mail?

Andy and April keep their bills in the freezer on 'Parks and Recreation,' but Dee has another solution on 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia,' Season 6 of which is available on DVD and Blu-ray today.

Her preferred mail storage option? The sewer. Which is why it's kind of surprising that Charlie and Frank stumbled upon it during one of their jaunts through the sewers. But, uh, why were they there in the first place? Check out AOL TV's exclusive clip from 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: The Complete Sixth Season' and see for yourself ... or not

The 'It's Always Sunny' Gang Talks Prostitutes, Pageants & Season 7 (VIDEO)

by Maggie Furlong, posted Sep 9th 2011 1:45PM
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' is back for a seventh season (premieres Thurs., Sept. 15, 10PM ET on FX), and judging by what the cast revealed when I visited the set, the gang is all in fine 'Sunny' form.

"This is like, without a doubt, the craziest season," Danny DeVito said. "Danny brought it all in," Rob McElhenney noted. "And he's devolved over the last few years on a personal level, and so we've taken advantage of that and put that in the show."

The season premiere features their version of 'Pretty Woman,' which is much more grounded in reality. "Julia Roberts would only look like Julia Roberts for a very short period of time on the streets before looking like Julio Roberts," Glenn Howerton said. Charlie Day chimed in, "Someone would've cut that b*tch!"

Then there's a 'Toddlers & Tiaras'-inspired kids beauty pageant that the cast had a lot of fun with. "It's one of my favorites," Kaitlin Olson admitted. "Dee's really into it, which is always so fun for me, when she's super into something." "Put a five year old in some WOW! Wear, and it just says America," Day added.
