'Saturday Night Live' - 'Jennifer Lopez' Recap
by Annie Wu, posted Feb 28th 2010 1:22PM

(S35E15) Someone at NBC or 'Saturday Night Live' sensed that you haven't thought about the music of Jennifer Lopez (no one calls her J. Lo anymore, right?) in about ten years, and in an effort to get "Waiting for Tonight" stuck in your head again, they brought her back. It was supposed to be some sort of double-whammy, a way for Lopez to promote her upcoming film, 'The Back-up Plan,' and her new album at the same time.
But then her label dropped her about a week ago and all ten people that were paying attention simultaneously tugged at their collars and went, "Ooh, awkward." These same people sat through her musical performances during this episode and, mid-cringe, mumbled, "Well, y'know. Bless her heart for trying."

Jennifer Lopez meets Barney on How I Met Your Mother
by Allison Waldman, posted Jan 27th 2010 1:00PM
I could get used to this daily dose of good news from How I Met Your Mother. First, Bays and Thomas get a new deal, then Mother gets an early renewal for next season, and now Jennifer Lopez is going to guest on How I Met Your Mother. That's right, JLo will be hanging with the crew, and in a move that I heartily support, she will not play herself. Jennifer has been cast as Anita Appleby, a self-help author who knows all about male-female relationships.
When Robin meets Anita and tell her all about Barney Stinson, master of the universe and womanizer extraordinaire, Anita decides that she will break him of his nasty ways with women.

Dallas in Jacksonville?
by Annie Wu, posted Apr 15th 2006 12:27PM
I believe a refresher course in common sense is in
order: If it's poisonous, don't eat it. If it's hot, don't touch it. If it's called Dallas, film it in Dallas,
Texas. Well, now no one can say I didn't try. Apparently, the minds behind the upcoming big-screen version of Dallas
have decided to film in, of all places, Jacksonville,
Florida. First of all, is a remake of Dallas really necessary? Second of all... Jacksonville?! Wow, all
this makes about as much sense as having Jennifer Lopez in the movie... Or
having the British director of Bend
It Like Beckham head the project. Next up: All the dialogue will be done... in the form of Gregorian chants!TV Squad Hot Topics
