Chelsea Handler Appalled by James Marsden's Cheesy Courting of His Wife (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 9th 2011 4:52AM
James Marsden was a saccharine sweet guy when he was in his early 20s. Particularly, he employed the sweet innocence of youth in the wooing techniques he used to win the heart of his wife, Lisa Linde. And it absolutely disgusted Chelsea Handler on 'Chelsea Lately' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on E!).Early on in their dating, Marsden said, "I got my guitar and I serenaded her at the beach." He sang Garth Brook's 'The Dance,' and later they even went back to a jacuzzi and did the whole strawberries and champagne thing.
If it was a cheesy romantic film move, Marsden was trying it out. But it worked. "She married me," he told Handler, in response to her look of disgust.
Ferguson's Chat With James Marsden Was So Hot, Part of It Got Cut (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 8th 2011 6:21AM
Somewhere at the studios of 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS) there is a piece of lost footage from Craig Ferguson's interview with James Marsden. The fact that it was cut out makes us want to know what was on it even more.Fans of Ferguson's show know that he prides himself on performing off the cuff, and usually airs anything and everything that happens. This leads to some funny moments when things don't go as planned, or even awkward moments in interviews. But it's part of the joy of watching the show.
Leading into the cut, the pair were talking about the acting performances of Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman in 'Rain Man' -- see what we meant about anything and everything? Marsden said of Hoffman, "Come on. It's a little over the top."
Chelsea Handler Taunts James Marsden Over His Humor and Acting Skills (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Apr 5th 2011 5:30AM
Having worked with Chelsea Handler on 'Hop,' James Marsden probably assumed appearing on 'Chelsea Lately' (weeknights, 11PM ET on E!) would be a breeze. But a friendly reunion it was not, as Handler teased him mercilessly. She told the audience, "I had to remind you time and time again that you're not funny." Marsden countered, "She wouldn't deliver her dialogue off-camera." Handler recalled, "I would say, 'You're a terrible, terrible actor. Everything you say is not believable.'"
She then congratulated him in on the film's being No. 1 at the box office last weekend. Was her needling over? Nope.
She couldn't help but mention 'The Box' -- the "embarrassing" 2009 film he did with Cameron Diaz. "I hate you," he said grinning.
