(S04E17) "Thank you, Lemon, but my true present is that exquisite ensemble. You look like a prison weed dealer." - Jack to Liz, on her singles dodge ball outfit.
Jack, Jack, Jack! I guess there are worse things than having to choose between gorgeous Elizabeth Banks and beautiful Julianne Moore on your 51st birthday. I'm with Liz, though. Guys have it easy. They just get more distinguished and stately as they get older. Girls get flabby arms and wrinkles. " You're juggling two beautiful women while I have to pay to have kick balls whipped at me," says Liz. "This is gender inequity out the yang."

Al Roker Plans Jane Krakowski's Wedding on 'Today' (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Mar 23rd 2010 12:30PM
After Jane Krakowski of '30 Rock' jokes about having her wedding live on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM ET on NBC), Al Roker enthusiastically latches onto the idea and tries to persuade her to do just that."We've never done a celebrity wedding! You could be our first!" Roker said loudly. "Just pick a date and then show up." Krakowski agrees, but her expression tells us she doesn't mean it.

'Christmas in Rockefeller Center': Shakira, Rockettes Celebrate the Tree Lighting
by Donald Deane, posted Dec 3rd 2009 11:42AM
Despite less-than-perfect weather and a threatened labor strike, last night's 'Christmas in Rockefeller Center' went off without a hitch and featured the 77th annual lighting of New York's iconic Rockefeller Christmas tree, as well as performances by Aretha Franklin, Barry Manilow, Shakira, Michael Buble and the Rockettes, among others.Co-hosted by Jane Krakowski of '30 Rock' and Zachary Levi of 'Chuck,' the special culminated in the lighting of this year's tree, which stands at a towering 76 feet high and is adorned with more than 25,000 multicolored bulbs. Watch our clip for a sample of the performance by the Rockettes, a peek at Shakira's rendition of 'Santa Baby' and a look at the tree lighting itself.

Labor Dispute May Shut Down NBC's Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting
by Gary Susman, posted Dec 1st 2009 7:34PM
Will NBC's 12th annual 'Christmas at Rockefeller Center' special, scheduled for tomorrow night -- with singers and actors prepared to celebrate the lighting of the famed Christmas tree -- go dark? That's the threat posed by members of National Association of Broadcast Employees and Technicians (NABET-CWA) Local 11, which issued a statement today saying it would halt the show via a wildcat strike if NBC doesn't make progress on stalled negotiations with the union, which has been working without a contract since March.
If the broadcast goes dark, don't blame the union -- blame NBC, says NABET-CWA Local 11 president Ed McEwan in the statement. "We can't let the Grinch at NBC steal another Christmas from thousands of honest working people," McEwan says in the statement. "This charade must stop. Christmas is supposed to be a time of goodwill, but the network's management is trying to hide behind their fancy lights while leaving their employees in the dark."
Big plans, big stars set for NBC's Thanksgiving Day Parade
by Allison Waldman, posted Nov 5th 2009 1:07PM
Well, we know that the singers from Glee were not welcomed into the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade thanks to NBC's territorial attitude. Still, that doesn't mean we won't be watching on Turkey Day. NBC, in fact, will feature one of their own prominently that morning -- 30 Rock's Jane Krakowski will be singing an original song on a float. It will not be a typical Jenna floppola, either. It's a song being written by the Emmy nominated team of Wesley Whatley and William Schermerhorn. And in case you don't know, Jane's a Tony-winning star who is not only hilarious as Jenna, but a really fine singer/dancer/actress.
That's not all. Alan Cumming is also set to perform in the parade, and it sounds like a doozy, too. He'll sing the Sinatra classic, "That's Life" on the M&M float. What the song, Cumming and Sinatra have to do with M&M candies is anyone's guess.
James Franco to Guest on '30 Rock': Which Show Should He Book Next?
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 4th 2009 1:15PM
James Franco is quickly taking over the small screen. We've already seen him this season as a surprise guest on 'Saturday Night Live.' He also has an upcoming arc on 'General Hospital,' which we're, um, still trying to wrap our heads around.
Now, he's set to follow that with a guest appearance on '30 Rock.' According to the Ausiello Files, Franco will play a version of himself who winds up in a fake relationship with Jenna (Jane Krakowski), all orchestrated by their agents.
With so many different TV roles in the works, we're beginning to wonder if there's anything James Franco can't do. At a turn, he can go from dramatic ('Milk'; TV's 'James Dean'), to hilarious ('Pineapple Express') to ... soap operas (yep, still confused). Clearly, there are no limits to his talents -- which is why we're itching to see more of him on TV. So to help, we came up with a list of shows that James Franco should appear on next.
Gilmore "Doll": Lauren Graham heading to Broadway - VIDEO
by Allison Waldman, posted Oct 30th 2008 3:20PM
Here's some news that I'm ready to sing about! One of my favorite TV actresses is heading to Broadway. Gilmore Girls' Lauren Graham will star in the revival of Guys and Dolls that opens in New York next March. She's not only going to be making her Broadway debut, she'll be doing it in one of the greatest musicals of all time. And she'll be playing not the ingenue role (Salvation Army missionary doll Miss Sarah Brown). No, she's smartly taking the very funny, very distinctive comic role as Miss Adelaide, lead singer/tootsie at the Hot Box nightclub! For fans like me who always lamented the fact that Lauren never got the Emmy recognition she most definitely deserved for Gilmore Girls, the prospect of her doing Guys and Dolls could also mean she's got a shot at a Tony award.
30 Rock season two -- An early look - VIDEO
by Bob Sassone, posted Sep 28th 2007 10:02AM
First the apology, then the early look.
Dear Tina,
I've always liked 30 Rock, but I've never loved it. Maybe it was because my concentration was on Studio 60 or maybe it was because I wasn't in the right frame of mind when I watched the pilot. Or maybe I just didn't try to get into it because Thursday nights are really jam-packed (would it upset you to tell you that I watch Ugly Betty too?). I just never gave the show a chance to grow on me, though I did enjoy Alec Baldwin's performance as Jack.
