Firstly, her character will now have red hair, news which pleased co-host Sharon Osbourne. Sam will also be taking on more of a business role in the prostitution operation to support her family.
Jennifer Love Hewitt to Star in 'Client List' TV Series
Jennifer Love Hewitt is bringing back 'The Client List.'
According to Deadline, Hewitt is set to reprise her Lifetime TV movie role and executive produce a series based on the 2010 movie. Lifetime is targeting a 10-episode season to start in 2012. As part of the contract, Lifetime has a development deal for both shows and movies with Hewitt's Fedora Films. Hewitt also nabbed herself a directing gig on a future Lifetime movie.
"Beloved by viewers, Jennifer Love Hewitt is an amazing talent on and off the screen and we are very excited about continuing our relationship with her on 'The Client List,'" Nancy Dubuc, president and general manager of Lifetime Networks, said. "This project falls in line with our strategy to expand Lifetime's slate with unapologetic programming that will surprise audiences."
Jennifer Love Hewitt Plays Victoria's Daughter on 'Hot In Cleveland' (VIDEO)
Victoria (Wendie Malick) has done some things in her life she'd rather not see made public. So when her daughter Emmy (Jennifer Love Hewitt, appearing in a guest role) decides to write a tell-all book, she has to think quickly to convince her not to, and enlists Elka (Betty White) to play Emmy's old nanny and talk some sense into her. That was the plot for this week's 'Hot In Cleveland' (Wednesdays, 10PM on TV Land), which also involved bad accents and Indians tickets."Just like your book, it could make everyone feel sorry for your mum and ... and she gets all the attention," Elka told Emmy. The bad Irish accent is because Emmy's old nanny was Irish, and Elka was trying to play the part. She did it well enough to convince Emmy to change her mind, and she declared she would cancel the book deal. And the movie deal, the one where the producers wanted Emmy and Victoria to play themselves.
Christopher Meloni's 'SVU' Replacement: Who's on the Short List?
It's only been a month since Christopher Meloni stepped down from 'Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,' but producers are reportedly screen-testing his possible replacements in New York today.Production on the upcoming Season 13 is due to get underway soon and, according to Deadline.com, 'SVU' creator/executive producer Dick Wolf and NBC have narrowed the field to a short list of five.
The actors, who have all doubtless just spent a sleepless night in the Big Apple rehearsing their lines, have been named as: Danny Pino ('Cold Case'), Kevin Alejandro ('True Blood,' 'Southland'), David Conrad ('Ghost Whisperer'), Michael Raymond-James ('Terriers') and Rhys Coiro ('Entourage').
Each one will test today with Meloni's co-star, Mariska Hargitay, who plays Det. Olivia Benson on the drama. Both Alejandro and Raymond-James recently guest-starred on 'SVU,' so could be feeling like they've got the edge.
Jennifer Love Hewitt Out of 'Law & Order: SVU' Race?
Jennifer Love Hewitt won't be busting pedophiles on TV anytime soon, according to reports. The former 'Ghost Whisperer' star was reportedly in talks to join 'Law & Order: SVU' as a new detective when Mariska Hargitay starts her part-time duty, but that's looking unlikely now. According to Deadline, Hewitt is out of the race.
Last week, rapper/actor Ice-T signed a new deal with the show and confirmed no new actors have been tapped to replace Hargitay's Detective Benson or Christopher Meloni's Detective Stabler.
Hargitay signed a new deal to be with the show part-time, Meloni did not sign a new contract.
Deadline reports a possible 'SVU' scenario has Meloni being replaced with another female lead.
'Law & Order: SVU' Shakeup: Jennifer Love Hewitt to Replace Mariska Hargitay?
Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni have made it no secret that they're interested in cutting back on their hours manning the Special Victims Unit on 'Law & Order: SVU.' But news broke today that an unlikely actress is eying a role as Hargitay's replacement: Jennifer Love Hewitt. The former 'Ghost Whisperer' star is reportedly in talks to take over as the partner of Meloni's Elliot Stabler around mid-season when Hargitay's Olivia Benson will be promoted to a supervisor position, TV Line reports.
Hargitay has signed a deal to return for 'SVU''s 13th season, but will work fewer hours for the same salary. Meloni has not yet signed a deal, but he is reportedly asking for a raise and will likely not come to an official agreement until after NBC's Upfront presentation next week.
Jennifer Love Hewitt Gets Knocked Down Trying to Catch a Wedding Bouquet (VIDEO)
Weddings are dangerous places. For one thing, if you're not careful, you could wind up married. Or, as Jennifer Love Hewitt described it Friday on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS), you could wind up knocked to the floor by someone trying to catch the bouquet.
Hewitt talked about a wedding she attended where she tried to catch the bouquet, the tradition being that whomever catches it will be the next to marry. Luke Perry was single at the time, she said
She almost had it but was knocked aside by someone who wanted it just a little bit more, she said. "Violence at a wedding, violence," said Hewitt. "And it ruined the bouquet."
Hewitt blames that woman for the fact that she has never married. To make matters worse, Hewitt said the woman looked like she was in her 90s and taking her last shot at a chance to get married. Which means that may be Hewitt in a few decades, paying it forward.

He was off to war, while she was pregnant with a child he would never meet.'The Lost Valentine' (Sun., 9PM on CBS) is a Hallmark Hall of Fame film where Caroline's story touches the heart of another woman, Susan Allison.
The film featured Betty White as Caroline and Jennifer Love Hewitt as Susan, the reporter who wanted to write about this woman's annual visits to the train station. However, once she was involved she began to to work vigorously on Caroline's behalf with the US Government to try and find out what happened to her husband, who was declared MIA during World War II.
Jennifer Love Hewitt on Playing a Hooker Mom, Betty White and, of Course, Vagazzling

Craig Ferguson Doesn't Have Enough Singles to Get Jennifer Love Hewitt Dancing (VIDEO)
If the whole acting thing ultimately doesn't work out, at least Jennifer Love Hewitt has some training in a potential back-up career. And she even has her first potential paying customer in 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM on CBS) host Craig Ferguson. She revealed on the show that she's taken pole dancing classes. In an effort to clarify what these were, Hewitt said, "You can go to these classes and you pole dance and you learn how to pole dance." That clears that up.
Supposedly, it's good for her figure, but Ferguson had another notion. "Were you ever tempted to go rogue stripping?" he asked her.
Jennifer Love Hewitt Breaks Bottle Over Head for Charity on 'Ellen' (VIDEO)
Ellen DeGeneres challenges Jennifer Love Hewitt to a range of silly tasks on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated). For each task Hewitt completes, DeGeneres promises that $1,000 will be donated to a charity of her choice. What to Watch: January 10 - 16
The 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards - Sunday January 16, 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT, NBCI do love me some Golden Globes -- for one thing, they serve drinks so the later speeches get nice and saucy, and for another, they honour television as well as movies. But my favourite thing about the Globes are the totally left-field picks they make every now and again.
For example, this year, you can root for Jennifer Love Hewitt in an acting category against Judi Dench and Claire Danes, or for the very charming Emma Stone up against Annette Bening or Julianne Moore, and of course, 'Burlesque' nominated for best Musical/Comedy alongside stinker 'The Tourist' which I'm pretty sure was supposed to be a thriller. Kudos to the Hollywood Foreign Press for finally making a 'so bad it's funny' award -- the Razzies clearly weren't enough.
'Law & Order: SVU' -- Jennifer Love Hewitt in a Shockingly Different Role (VIDEO)
Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt is perhaps best known for starring in the slightly cheesy supernatural drama 'Ghost Whisperer.' Or you might remember her from the vastly more cheesy slasher film 'I Know What You Did Last Summer.' Although Hewitt is a fine actress and a bankable star, she's never really been called on to stretch her dramatic range that much. Which is why her appearance on tonight's 'Law & Order: SVU' (Wed., 9PM ET on NBC) might come as a surprise.[Warning: Spoiler alert.]
Hewitt guest stars as rape victim Vicki Sayers, who has been attacked and violated by the same man over a 15-year period, and fear of her assailant has turned her into a virtual recluse. Now, she must come face-to-face with her attacker, and overcome her greatest fear.
