Jennifer Tilly Wants to Give Up Playing Poker, Get Back Into Acting (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 9th 2011 4:15AM
Jennifer Tilly has made quite a name for herself in the world of professional poker, but it's a name she may soon be leaving behind, according to her stop by 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS). She explained with a very drawn out example one of the reasons why poker may be more stress than its worth.More specifically, though, Tilly said, "When I was an actress, I would go on the set, I'd say one line, I'd collect my bill for $30,000 and I would go home. When I'm playing poker ... I put my $30,000 on the table, I play for 20 hours, there's nothing left." That's just math, and you can't argue with the numbers.
Jennifer Tilly Tries to Keep Her Man Happy (VIDEO)

Jennifer Tilly lives in her own little world, doesn't she? On 'The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson' (weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS), she dished on doing fun things to keep her boyfriend happy, like having sex with him in her trailer while still in a blonde wig.He loved it, because he felt like he was cheating on her. Only then she found he really was cheating on her.
We're just going to throw this out there -- maybe it had something to do with that pink feathery thing.

The longest running primetime TV shows
by Kristin Sample, posted Jul 14th 2008 2:20PM
AOL TV has a list of the top ten longest running TV shows. It's a great trip down memory lane or if your a product of gen-Y like me, it's a good history lesson. I knew one (just one!) show on that list. I thought The Simpsons would be first for sure. Turns out that show is number ten. At least I got one. The Simpsons has been on the air since 1989 and is still running. AOL TV summed up the animated show's success: "Spawning multiple catchphrases, iconic characters and a 2007 hit movie, FOX's pop-culture cornerstone satirizes overall society." And to think, Jennifer Tilly (once married to Simpsons producer Sam Simon) didn't predict that the show would do well. I remember watching a documentary on poker of all things (Tilly is an avid player as is Simon). She said that she didn't see the allure of people with yellow faces.
My other guesses were even more off-base. The Real World! Friends! Seinfeld! Check out the rest of the list and see how you do.
Catching up with Summer Glau
by Brett Love, posted Oct 22nd 2006 1:02PM
NewstalkZB did an interview with Summer Glau as a lead up to her appearance at Auckland's Armageddon Pulp Expo. You can get audio of the conversation at their site. She talks about some of her recent TV work, including The Unit and The 4400. They also touch on what kind of projects she would like to tackle in the future. Her dream list involves a western, a period piece, and a movie about ballet. The tasty nugget from the interview is Summer's mention that she and Joss Whedon are "talking about doing a little something together."But if just hearing Summer isn't enough for you, tonight you can see her too. She stars in The Initiation Of Sarah, which is part of ABC Family's "13 Nights Of Halloween." It looks to be another of the network's cheesy, but fun, movies. Sisters Sarah (Mika Boorem) and Lyndsey (Summer Glau) are starting their first year of college. While pledging sororities they manage to get pulled into a battle of good vs. evil. The cast also includes Morgan Fairchild, Jennifer Tilly, Joanne Garcia (Reba), and Tessa Thompson (Veronica Mars). If you like that ABC Family style, it should be worth a look.
