Jenny McCarthy Plays 'The Dating Game' on 'The Rosie Show' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 17th 2011 1:00AM
Just for fun, Rosie O'Donnell set up a version of 'The Dating Game' on 'The Rosie Show' (Weeknights, 7PM ET on OWN) to help Jenny McCarthy find a good man. McCarthy even adopted a goofy voice so none of the bachelors would know who she was.She threw them for a loop when she asked one of them if he was okay with her being pregnant with Justin Bieber's baby. But they turned around and flattered her, without her even knowing it, in their response to her next question.
"If you could date any of the following celebrities, who would it be: Kate Hudson, Jenny McCarthy or Natalie Portman?" The response was unanimously Jenny McCarthy.
Jenny McCarthy Helps 'The Millionaire Matchmaker,' Makes Guys Squirm (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 2nd 2011 7:30AM
The bachelors on 'The Millionaire Matchmaker' (Tue., 9PM ET on Bravo) clearly aren't confident or comfortable in their dating lives, or they wouldn't be coming to Patti Stanger. Take frustrated single men and put them in a room with Jenny McCarthy, and their nerves are going to be heightened even more.To
Jenny McCarthy is Back on 'Two and a Half Men,' Targeting Walden (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Oct 11th 2011 5:00AM
We're four episodes in, and Walden Schmidt is still the lovelorn sad sack on 'Two and a Half Men' (Mon., 9PM ET on CBS). But if Walden's that character, where does that leave Alan? This week, Courtney (Jenny McCarthy) swooped back into the picture. Same agenda, only this time her target was possibly even more receptive than Charlie Harper. For a guy who's broken up about his marriage's collapse, he's certainly open to having lots of sex.
Courtney, of course, was only in it for the money. When Bridget offered her a settlement to leave, revealing that she knew the truth about who Courtney really is, she bailed and Walden was back to being sad and alone.
Bob Harper Reveals He Did a 'Playboy' Photo Shoot With Jenny McCarthy (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 14th 2011 3:56AM
Bob Harper revealed a secret on 'The Tonight Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC), when he told a story he'd never told to anyone before. It involved him participating in a nude photo shoot for 'Playboy' magazine.Years ago, in anticipation of her photo spread in 'Playboy,' Jenny McCarthy called up her favorite trainer and asked him to pose in the photos with her. According to Harper, she told him she needed a man in the photos and she wanted it to be him.
After some convincing, she got him to show up, but he refused to strip beyond his boxer shorts. Hilariously, when Leno showed the photos, all you could see of Harper was his arm in one shot, or his back and part of one leg in another. He's the ultimate extra!
Jenny McCarthy and Cheryl Burke Put Their Assistant on 'What Not to Wear' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Aug 17th 2011 9:00AM
Cheryl Burke and Jenny McCarthy share an assistant. And as we learned on 'What Not to Wear' (Tue., 9PM ET on TLC), they also share a frustration with her fashion choices. Meet 37-year old Chicago native Becky.Tricked into getting the makeover on the show, Becky proves game for the transformation, and the results speak for themselves. She looked fabulous in a shapely dress and absolutely floored her friends and supporters.
"The clothes were one thing," McCarthy said. "But the confidence that you saw come through just made me so happy."
McCarthy had already admitted that she thought of Becky as family, so it must have been so warm to see someone so close to you get a new and more positive outlook on life. Sometimes a physical makeover can transform your self-perception as well.
Jenny McCarthy getting the Oprah seal of approval, which may include a talk show
by Jason Hughes, posted May 4th 2009 3:35PM
Being Oprah's buddy is never bad for one's career. And like former frequent guest stars Rachael Ray and Dr. Phil, now actress, author and former Playboy playmate Jenny McCarthy is poised to be the next "Big O" thing. She has inked a multiplatform deal with Harpo Productions to develop projects of all different kinds, including a talk show of her very own. While her career may have started in nudity and comedy, she's more recently become known for her books, and her activism in the fight against autism, which her son has.
Megan Mullally: The TV Squad Interview
by Joel Keller, posted Mar 25th 2009 11:03AM
There aren't many actresses out there that you could affectionately call a "broad," but Megan Mullally's one of them. Ever since she came on the scene a decade ago as the caustic and spoiled Karen Walker on Will & Grace, Mullally has shown that she can be bawdy with the best of them. Now, after a foray into the talk show world and a turn as a disabled and ugly -- but desirable -- chief of medicine on Rob Corddry's web series Children's Hospital, Mullally is back on series TV, on ABC's new comedy In The Motherhood (premiering Thursday at 8 PM ET), which was based on a web series that took episode ideas from submissions by real moms. In the series, Mullally plays Rosemary, a "bad ass," as Mullally calls her, who has raised the perfect son even though she's an imperfect mom.
In this quickie interview, Mullally talks about the new show, about a rumor that she was in a catfight with her co-star Cheryl Hines, about how Rosemary and Karen could be the new Odd Couple, and running her Kerry Weaver-esque Children's Hospital character past Laura Innes.
Chuck: Chuck Versus the Suburbs
by Allison Waldman, posted Feb 17th 2009 9:55AM
(S02E13) Memo to NBC: Idea for product placement on Chuck. All the computers and cell phones are great, but what about Excedrin, Tylenol or Advil? In this episode alone, Chuck's brain activated the Intersect so many times that he should have needed something extra strength to deal with the killer headache he had to have had when he finally got out of the top secret Fulcrum initiation lab. I was ready to reach for two tablets myself, what with all the flashing and colors and weird old stock footage. Anyway, this was the Happy Valentine's Day show, which is why last week's pre-empted episode was re-slotted so this one could land in closer proximity to the holiday. It made sense, then, for there to be some good Chuck and Sarah flirting. Not flirting with each other, just flirting with the idea of them flirting with a real relationship. It looked good there for a while. More after the jump.
Melissa McCarthy: In the Limelight
by Isabelle Carreau, posted Apr 28th 2008 1:01PM
The name Melissa McCarthy doesn't ring a bell? No, she's not Jenny McCarthy's sister (she's her cousin). You probably know Melissa under the name Sookie St.James, Lorelai's best friend on Gilmore Girls. This gifted actress has appeared in over 20 different TV and movie projects in the past 10 years but mostly devoted her time to Gilmore, appearing in more than 150 episodes of the series.
The 37-year-old actress from Plainfield, Illinois, first performed on stage. She started her acting career by doing stand up and improv in New York. She attended The Actors Studio, where she studied drama. This led to a bunch of acting gigs in stage productions. When she moved to Los Angeles, the actress joined The Groundlings as a main cast member of this improv and sketch troupe.
Jenny McCarthy, Patricia Heaton: Together at last
by Anna Johns, posted Apr 2nd 2006 12:22PM
I'm curious about how all of you will
react to this news. There were a lot of unkind words written when I told you about a possible
talk show for Patricia Heaton a while back. Well, she's also doing a comedy next season for ABC. And, Jenny McCarthy
signed on to co-star. I'm trying to think of two more annoying people, but I just can't.The comedy, by the way, is currently untitled. It's about a widow (Heaton) who "finds friends and a new path to life through the PTA." Because a grieving family is hi-larious.
Ah, so there's still hope for me with Jenny McCarthy
by Bob Sassone, posted Aug 19th 2005 7:49PM
That's because she and her husband, director John Asher, filed for divorce in Los Angeles.
This article says that McCarthy "currently stars in UPN's The Bad Girl's Guide." Wow, is that actually still on the air?
