Ah-mah-zing news: ABC has ordered full seasons of 'Revenge' and 'Suburgatory,' and ordered six more scripts for 'Happy Endings,' according to TVLine.

'Revenge' has received a good amount of buzz and performed solidly in the ratings. Emily VanCamp stars in 'Revenge' as a young woman who sets out to take down the people responsible for framing her father of crimes he did not commit.

Jeremy Sisto and Jane Levy star in 'Suburgatory,' a comedy about a single dad who moves his daughter to the suburbs to save her from city life. 'Suburgatory' has been holding on to almost all of the audience that tunes in to its lead-in show, 'The Middle.'

'Suburgatory' (Wed., 8:30PM ET on ABC) follows the perhaps rash decision of single father to move his daughter from the bright lights of Manhattan to the suburbs. But this surreal little community is more like a cross between 'The Stepford Wives' and 'Edward Scissorhands' than any real suburban neighborhood.

Teenager daughter Tessa is understandably freaked out and uncomfortable in her new environment, but it's nice to see that the writers haven't forgotten that her father George would be just as out of place. We loved both of them freaking out over how quiet it is at night.

Cable news legal expert Nancy Grace has found herself in some legal hot water of her own.

The CNN Headline News host was sued for $15 million for "not honoring an agreement to have her long-term associate, Patricia Caruso, act as executive producer of her new syndicated show 'Swift Justice,'" according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Caruso alleges that she and Grace discussed a potential new show over a lunch meeting in 2008, which then turned into 'Swift Justice.' They supposedly had a verbal agreement to work together.

In other TV news ...

• Sing 'Hallelujah,' because 'Lost' vet Terry O'Quinn is returning to TV. Well, at least if his new ABC pilot gets picked up. The former John Locke will play the main villain in Marc Cherry's hourlong drama about good and evil forces in a small Southern town. [TV Line]

• The Parents Television Council is at it again, this time targeting the ABC pilot 'Good Christian Bitches.' The organization slammed the show as an "affront to women" and denigrating the "world's largest faith." [Deadline]

• Singer Ciara is picking up some pom poms for a guest spot on The CW's 'Hellcats.' The singer tweeted that she's in Vancouver filming for the show. No word on what kind of character she'll be playing, or if she's appearing as herself. [Perez Hilton]

I started watching Law & Order during the Briscoe and Green days, so I don't know a whole lot about Detective Rey Curtis, Briscoe's former partner from '94-'99. What I do know is that Benjamin Bratt is pulling a Chris Noth and returning to the show that gave him his big break.

Bratt, whose A&E series, The Cleaner, was just canceled, is reprising his role as Detective Rey Curtis on the original Law & Order. However, it doesn't look like the current crime-fighting duo of Lupo (Jeremy Sisto) and Bernard (Anthony Anderson) have anything to worry about: Bratt is only signed up for one episode.

I haven't warmed up to Jeremy Sisto and Anthony Anderson, but I still like the second half of the Law and Order team. This season finale was ... convoluted. I was lost about 20 minutes into it, even after McCoy went to the board and literally drew a graphic for the audience to explain what was going on. In short, an S&M murder case led back to Tom Everett Scott's governor character and his wife, and hinted at an interesting race next season (which will see the show on at a new day and time, Friday at 8 PM).

What did everyone else think?

NBC's got a lot of new shows this fall. The panels have been non-stop and swag-free today -- and not without a bit of controversy.

First up was Law & Order creator Dick Wolf and new Law & Order cast members Alicia Witt (CI), Adam Beach (SVU), and Jeremy Sisto (Law & Order).

Sisto's character on L&O comes with emotional baggage that makes the angst he carried around as Rachel Griffith's brother on Six Feet Under seem like a birthday party, which is interesting since Wolf is no fan of serial drama.

When I was asked to review the DVD of the series Kidnapped, I eagerly jumped at the chance. After all, I've been a fan of the show since before it even aired: I visited the set, I went to the premiere, I reviewed the pilot, I was among the throngs at TVS and elsewhere that reported that the show was cancelled, and now I get to review the "thanks for everything, fans!" DVD. I feel like I witnessed the show's birth and death, and now I'm attending its funeral.

Despite the show's quality, it never had a chance; saddled with a bad time slot (Wednesdays at 10), NBC showed four episodes, then told the producers to stop at 13, shuttled the show to the Saturday death slot, then canned it after one Saturday airing.

Jeremy Sisto will replace Milena Govich as a detective on the original version of Law & Order. Sisto was on NBC last season in the failed series, Kidnapped, and is perhaps best known for his role as Brenda's crazy brother, Billy, on Six Feet Under.

I'm not sure how they're going to write his character into the show, considering the actor guest-starred on the season finale last month as a defense attorney. I didn't see that episode (apparently my Jeremy Sisto radar was turned off) so I don't know if he had any sort of background as a detective, or if L&O will just ignore the fact that he guest-starred and recast him as a detective by a different name.

It's a bittersweet announcement, really. Jeremy Sisto is a terrific (and super hot) actor, yet he has taken a role on a show that has dropped in the ratings and almost wasn't renewed this season.

We've had a couple of stories here about the possibility of a Kidnapped DVD set in '07, and today Sony made it official. The Complete Series will be released on April 24. That's 13 episodes. No word on extras yet.

I actually liked this show, from the handful of episodes that NBC showed before dumping it on Saturday nights and then pulling it from the schedule altogether. But you know what? When the show went online only, I didn't even watch the remaining episodes. I'm not sure why. I was interested in the plot and what the outcome was going to be, but I just never took the time to watch the rest. Of course, I'm not sure I want to buy the show on DVD either, so maybe I'll watch them online after all (if they're still available, that is).

The Hollywood Reporter has an interesting story about the five "hottest" television actors who are looking for plum roles. And by "hottest", the publication means they're most in demand (plus, they're good-looking).

The five actors that all the networks are trying to scoop up are: Jeremy Sisto, Paul Rudd, Peter Krause, Simon Baker and Gabriel Macht. Honorable mentions include Christian Slater, Steve Zahn, and Michael Vartan, who just took a role in an untitled ABC drama. A look at their profiles on IMDB show that most of these guys (except Slater & Zahn) currently have a break in their schedules.

Kidnapped fans were upset when the show was canceled, but given 13 episodes to wrap up the plot. Then they were more upset when the show was taken off of Wednesday night and put on Saturday nights. And then they were absolutely ticked off when NBC pulled the show from Saturday nights because of low ratings (gee, low ratings on a Saturday night...what did they expect?). But now, fans can at least rejoice in the news that there might be a box DVD set of the show coming in 2007.

Anna told you earlier today about NBC pulling Kidnapped off of the Saturday schedule (wow, how bad do ratings have to be to have that happen twice in a matter of weeks?), and now comes word over at TV Guide that the remaining eight episodes of the drama will be shown on NBC's web site.

The show is being pulled and will not be seen again on the small screen after sweeps (we're at the start of the all-important sweeps period right now), but will be shown on your even smaller screen, your computer.

The show is filming its 13th episode even as you read this. Oh well. At least fans won't have to wait and see what's going to happen to the show and will be able to see the kidnapping plot reach its conclusion and not left hanging.

Ratings are so poor for NBC's Kidnapped that it's being pulled from its crappy Saturday time slot. The show was sent there earlier this month from its Wednesday night time slot, where it was also tanking. Previously, NBC had ordered the show to stop production after 13 episodes, which is why we dubbed it the first canceled show of the Fall 2006 season.

Last Saturday, Kidnapped got only about 3.7 million viewers, making it the lowest-watched program on television that night. Only five episodes of Kidnapped have aired so far and there's no word from NBC on whether it will even play out the rest of the 'season'. Starting this Saturday, reruns of Law & Order: Criminal Intent will play instead of Kidnapped.

Interesting piece in The Boston Globe (via Reuters) about NBC Universal CEO Bob Wright. He says that a recent story in the New York Post (owned by News Corp, which also owns FOX) saying that he was going to be replaced are completely untrue. The sources in the story were unnamed, and Wright says that the reason they are unnamed is because the paper made them up.

Now, that's kind of an interesting, in an insider baseball, industry sort of way. But Wright says something in the piece that got my attention. Wright told reporters that he's pleased with the start of the new season, especially the ratings for Heroes. He then adds:

"Kidnapped is clearly a bit of a disappointment. I think we probably just had a show that was maybe too difficult a concept."

Now, that's an intriguing statement. If the CEO of NBC is saying that a new show is too difficult for viewers (and talking about it as if it was in the past tense), I would say that's not good news for Kidnapped fans.

And I'm one of them. Though I'm not sure that the concept of the show is too difficult. I would say it's just because people are overdosing right now on shows that have one continuing story for the whole season, and also don't want to invest time in them if they fear they might be canceled.

(S01E01) If there's one thing you need to know about Kidnapped, it's this: nothing is as it seems. All we know after the opening episode is over is that Leopold Cain (Will Denton), the erudite son of wealthy Manhattan couple Conrad and Ellie Cain (Timothy Hutton and Dana Delany), has been kidnapped. We don't know why, and we don't know by whom. We also know that Cain has hired private investigator Knapp (Jeremy Sisto), who has a shady past but knows how to get people back to their families. His partner in investigation is Turner (Carmen Ejogo). We also know that Special Agent Lattimer King (Delroy Lindo) has been dragged into the case via his associtation with a bodyguard named Virgil (Mykelti Williamson). He and Knapp know each other, and they both know that they'll have to work together, whether they like it or not.

Everything else? It's completely up in the air. But that's what makes this show interesting.
