Jerry O'Connell Steals Stuff From Hotels (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Apr 13th 2011 5:15PM
Hotels, beware: If you see Jerry O'Connell coming through your lobby, you may want to start nailing things down -- especially if he's brought his wife. O'Connell admitted today on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) that he steals from hotels, and so does his wife. Usually it's just soap, but sometimes it's something bigger.O'Connell said if he pays more than $200 a night for a place, then he will steal the soap. And not just the one he has opened. He will take as many as he can carry, and went into a little pantomime of backing a truck up to pack it with sundries.
He also noted that when he and his wife were staying at one hotel, she took a liking to a sculpture on a coffee table in the room. When they got home, O'Connell was surprised to find the sculpture had come with them. "She was like, 'I wanted it,' and I was like, 'Are you crazy?'"
Leah Remini, for one was outraged, even after O'Connell explained the sculpture wasn't encrusted with diamonds or a Faberge egg.

by Aimee Deeken, posted Apr 6th 2011 7:00AM
Jerry O'Connell and Rebecca Romijn have twin 2-year-old daughters, Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip. O'Connell said on 'The Late Late Show' (weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS) that "they pretty much tell me what to do."After one of them bit another child at preschool last week, now it's her principal who's giving O'Connell orders. "I had to sign a waiver saying I acknowledge that my child bit someone. And now I have a book that I read every night called 'Biting Hurts.'"
"Not always," quipped Craig Ferguson. Yes, we assume it's a book he has to read to his daughter...?
Jerry O'Connell Tries Out for 'Two and a Half Men' As Charlie Sheen on 'Lopez Tonight' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Mar 10th 2011 3:53AM
With Charlie Sheen nixed from 'Two and a Half Men,' CBS is in the thick of figuring out what to do next with the number one comedy on television. Jerry O'Connell created his own audition for the hit show on Funny or Die and brought it with him to 'Lopez Tonight' (Weeknights, 12AM ET on TBS).The clip featured O'Connell doing a pretty funny Sheen impression, harassing a female "goddess" on the set, and even taking his method form of acting so far as to pee in a cup right there in the audition room and demand it be tested.
When no one took him up on it, he drank it to prove it. After watching, O'Connell had mixed feelings about it. Things have changed in the short time since it was filmed way last week.
Jerry O'Connell Explains 'Obedience Issue' With His Two-Year-Old Twins on 'Ellen' (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Mar 4th 2011 10:10AM
Jerry O'Connell shares pictures of his adorable two-year-old twins Dolly and Charlie on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated). But, he explains, there's a reason this point in a child's life is described as the "terrible twos.""They're just starting to speak. So, we can't say anything around them anymore because they understand what's going on," O'Connell said.

On 'The Rachael Ray Show' (weekdays, syndicated), Jerry O'Connell defends the donut burger, a bacon double cheeseburger served on a glazed donut, in a faux courtroom with Rachael Ray presiding as judge. His defense? If you like to smile, and plan on eating sometime in the next week, the donut burger is for you.Kelly Ripa and Jerry O'Connell Have an Impromptu Winter Rave (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Jan 12th 2011 12:30PM
Whenever we get around to celebrating the most awkward moments in the history of live television raves, we will speak of this day on 'Live With Regis and Kelly' (Weekdays, Syndicated). The show kicked off with fake snow raining down on the studio as TVs with the words "Blizzard Blast" were lowered from the rafters, and then giant white balls were released for the audience to bat around.Kelly Ripa and guest host Jerry O'Connell had a goofy dance party at their desk, O'Connell flashing the textbook silly dancing overbite, as the two knocked the white balls, presumably representing snowballs, back into the crowd. "Suddenly it's a rave in here," O'Connell commented.
Belushi and O'Connell Show off Their Charm on 'The Defenders' Debut (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Sep 23rd 2010 7:43AM
It's the second legal premiere of the night! And it's also the 1,807th legal show currently on TV, more or less. So the question for the pilot episode of 'The Defenders' (Wed., 10PM ET on CBS) is whether the courtroom series will be able to stand out from the pack.[Warning: Spoiler alert.]
'The Defenders' is set in Las Vegas, and features Jim Belushi and Jerry O'Connell as two lawyers who are poster boys for the Vegas lifestyle. In fact, they're literally poster boys -- as they play the type of attorneys who have a big tacky billboard with their 1-800 number posted prominently. The pair aren't upscale lawyers, they're basically scruffy ambulance-chasers. But on the premiere episode, they find themselves embroiled in a case that's a little more serious, involving a murder suspect who puts his life in our heroes' hands.
'The Defenders' and 'The Whole Truth' Premiere Reviews: One Law Drama Comes Up a Winner
by Maureen Ryan, posted Sep 22nd 2010 1:00PM
Every year, and this timid fall season is no exception, the broadcast networks build shows around established actors. Quite often, they're disappointingly contrived and formulaic, as is the case with NBC's 'Outlaw' and 'The Whole Truth' (10PM ET, ABC).
But 'The Defenders' (10PM ET, CBS) which, like those other shows, is a pretty straightforward legal procedural, has a surprising amount of fun with its familiar building blocks.
Perhaps Third Time May Be the Charm for Jerry O'Connell and Alex O'Loughlin This Fall
by Rich Keller, posted Aug 22nd 2010 6:00PM
Luck hasn't been on the side of actors Alex O'Loughlin and Jerry O'Connell as of late. Though critical and fan favorites in their previous endeavors, they have a combined four failed TV series over the last three years -- a poor record in any situation. Dare we even whisper the words "show killer"? Yet, network executives still see something in both of these actors to give them another chance. That's why, come September, both O'Loughlin and O'Connell will be in brand new CBS series: O'Loughlin as Steve McGarrett in a remake of 'Hawaii Five-O' and O'Connell as a Las Vegas lawyer in 'The Defenders.' The question is, will their respective curses be broken or will they need to look for another job outside of acting?
Jerry O'Connell Talks Full-Frontal Nudity in 'Piranha 3D' (VIDEO)
by Aimee Deeken, posted Aug 19th 2010 4:25AM
Usually, if a Hollywood actor is going to show his bits on film, the context better be deep and meaningful. But a Piranha horror film? In 3D?? That would be the decision of Jerry O'Connell in 'Piranha 3D.'"I show my [he whistles] because I play a softcore pornography mogul who videotapes girls at Spring Break," said O'Connell on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12:05AM ET on ABC). "I don't want to give too much away, but it is in 3D, and ... there may be some issues with the piranha and my member. Maybe."
Belushi and O'Connell Are 'The Defenders' - TCA Report
by Laura Prudom, posted Jul 28th 2010 10:28PM

Just when you thought that there wasn't room for another legal drama on prime-time, along comes 'The Defenders,' a new hour-long procedural set in Las Vegas. Jim Belushi and Jerry O'Connell are defense attorneys based on a couple of real-life Vegas lawyers, who were joined on the panel by co-stars Jurnee Smollett and Tanya Fisher, exec-producers Harry Gantz, Joe Gantz, Carol Mendelsohn, Kevin Kennedy and Niels Muller, and showrunner Greg Walker.
Since the show hasn't started shooting yet, there wasn't much in the way of dirt from filming, but Jim Belushi kept the panel lively despite some truly dire questions from attending critics. A rundown of highlights follows after the jump.

Changes coming to Rex Is Not Your Lawyer
by Bob Sassone, posted Dec 7th 2009 1:04PM
Just a week or so ago we told you about Heroes' Sendhil Ramamurthy being cast in the new NBC comedy Rex Is Not Your Lawyer, which stars David Tennant, Jane Curtin and Jeffrey Tambor. Now comes word that maybe Ramamurthy shouldn't give up his gig on Heroes just yet.Jerry O'Connell has replaced Ramamurthy in the role of a lawyer who is a close friend of Tennant's (the plot of the show has Tennant as a lawyer who suddenly gets nervous and can't appear in court so he trains his clients to represent themselves - can't wait to see how they keep that plot fresh).
Of course, we should have seen this coming. I believe O'Connell has a contract with the universe that he has to appear in a new quirky sitcom every single year. In 2008 he starred in the short-lived Do Not Disturb, and in 2007 he starred in the short-lived Carpoolers.
Show Killer Alert: Jerry O'Connell Joins 'Rex Is Not Your Lawyer'
by Nicholas White, posted Dec 7th 2009 12:57PM
Jerry O'Connell may look harmless enough. But could he be TV's newest grim reaper, aka 2010's answer to Ted "Jump the Shark" McGinley?According to the Hollywood Reporter, O'Connell has inked his name to the new NBC pilot 'Rex Is Not Your Lawyer,' opposite 'Doctor Who' actor David Tennant. O'Connell will replace 'Heroes' star Sendhil Ramamurthy, who is departing due to scheduling issues (hope for 'Heroes' fans, we wonder?)
O'Connell -- who has stacked several shuttered TV projects, including 'Do Not Disturb,' 'Carpoolers' and 'Crossing Jordan' -- will play the ambitious and affable best friend and colleague of Tennant's character Rex Alexander, a Chicago lawyer who encourages his clients to defend themselves after he has panic attacks. O'Connell will also reportedly be hung up on Rex's fiance, played by Abigail Spencer.
