Outside the Box Interview: 'Grey's Anatomy'

Hot docs
Jesse Williams and Kim Raver answered questions submitted by TV Squad readers for our Outside the Box interview show.
The 'Grey's Anatomy' co-stars sat down to talk about which real-life medical cases they'd like to bring to the show, other characters they'd like to play and how they dealt with last season's dramatic finale.
Raver and Williams gave us a little unexpected comedy when asked about their most awkward acting experiences. Williams had to stand naked in front of cast and crew while filming the movie 'Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants,' while Kim had to do a love scene six months pregnant. Must have been really uncomfortable for the actor she was reading with... oh wait, that was Williams!

'Grey's Anatomy' Season 7 Scoop: New Hookups, a New Start & More (VIDEO)

If you're a 'Grey's Anatomy' fan, you've probably been thinking about last season's big finale for the past four months. Luckily, the wait for the new season (premieres Thurs., Sept. 23, 9PM ET on ABC) is almost over.
I sat down with Seattle Grace's newest full-time staff members, Jackson (Jesse Williams) and Teddy (Kim Raver), to talk about where we pick back up and how the hospital shootings have affected everyone ... and effectively restarted the show.

Apparently it's also brought out a lot of honesty in the doctors, and introduced a few new romantic prospects for Williams, Raver and the other remaining single characters. Like guest star James Tupper, who'll be playing the hospital grief counselor for at least the first three episodes. No way is he stopping by and not getting some action. "Some of us have counseling with him, and some of us don't," Raver says coyly.
I cannot wait. Are you excited for the new season of 'Grey's'? Or do you think you've seen it all when it comes to this show?

According to the Ausiello Files Williams will return as a full-time series regular for the show's seventh season in the fall. He joined the show last October playing Dr. Jackson Avery, one of several new characters who joined the cast in season 6. Last month the show's creator, Shonda Rhimes, said that she would "fully advocate" for Williams to stick around.

Jesse Williams Talks 'Grey's Anatomy Action'; Ellen Gives Him a 'McNickname' (VIDEO)
by Harley W. Lond, posted Feb 25th 2010 6:18PM
Ellen DeGeneres surprised 'Grey's Anatomy' newcomer Jesse Williams on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' (weekdays, syndicated) with an old photo of him naked from the waist up. "I hope that 'Grey's' doesn't think they're gonna get some of that action," Williams said. But if they do, he wants advance notice so he can run some laps. "You don't look like that anymore?" DeGeneres asked. "No, I think I'd be like 'McGut,'" Williams responded. And speaking of that, Ellen said, 'Grey's' has doctors nicknamed McDreamy and McSteamy -- so she unilaterally came up with one for Williams -- and gave him a gift to boot. Check it out.
