Jessica Simpson Wants to Date Regular Men (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Mar 22nd 2010 2:00PM
Jessica Simpson appeared today on 'The Rachael Ray Show' (weekdays, syndicated) and gave the common man a reason to celebrate. Simpson said she's open to the idea of dating regular men as a way to avoid the tabloid scrutiny that comes with dating those who are famous. Granted, Simpson doesn't seem to come to this conclusion without some serious prompting from Rachael Ray. But, at least there's hope, right?

Jessica Simpson Eats a Fried Bug (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Mar 16th 2010 1:20AM
Jessica Simpson has come a long way since her days on 'Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica' when the whole chicken of the sea/tuna thing confused her. Now she's traveling the world and eating bugs on 'Jessica Simpson's The Price of Beauty' (Mon., 9PM ET on VH1).Good for her, and kudos on the bug thing. Sure, they're fried, but they'd have to be fried and covered in chocolate and marshmallows before we'd even considering popping them in our mouth. And even then, it would depend on the bug.

Jessica Simpson: John Mayer Will 'Never Have This Napalm Again' (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Mar 15th 2010 2:00PM
On 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated), Jessica Simpson said she's embarrassed by John Mayer's Playboy interview in which he referred to her as "sexual napalm," and she addressed whether a reunion with the musician is possible in the future."It's ... embarrassing," Simpson said of Mayer's comment, "because I'll walk into a restaurant or something and I'll notice that more men are looking at me, but I feel like they're undressing me."

What to Watch: March 15
by Kim Potts, posted Mar 15th 2010 6:00AM
'Jessica Simpson's The Price of Beauty' (10PM, VH1) series premiereBlame it all on those mom jeans. Still dealing with comments about her weight that began when she was photographed wearing those infamous high-waist jeans during a concert in 2009, pop star Simpson rejoins reality TV land with this series, in which she travels all over the world and examines what women in other cultures do in the name of beauty. In the opener, Simpson and BFF CaCee Cobb and hairdresser pal Ken Paves jet off to Thailand, where Simpson experiences first hand the tribal custom of women lengthening their necks by wearing heavy metal rings. Future eps find her in Uganda, where brides actually gain as much weight as they can before they're married, as well as Japan, France, Brazil, Morocco and Los Angeles. The series will also find Simpson speaking freely about events in her personal life, which means John Mayer should probably not tune in.
'The View' Reacts to John Mayer's Controversial Playboy Interview (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Feb 11th 2010 2:00PM
The gang from 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated) reacts to music John Mayer's recent Playboy interview in which he uses the "N" word multiple times, dishes on sex with ex-girlfriend Jessica Simpson, and calls his penis a "white supremacist" because of his lack of romantic interest in black women."If he just put it in a song, probably no one would have even paid attention, but he actually said it, so now we're all up in arms," Elisabeth Hasselbeck said of Mayer's comments. This inspires Whoopi Goldberg to bust out an impromptu ditty on Mayer's privates.

The Simpsons vs. 'Melrose Place': Which Side Are You On?
by Chris Jordan, posted Nov 3rd 2009 3:00PM
It's the Simpsons (the family, not the Fox animated series) vs. 'Melrose Place' -- and it's starting to get ugly.Very ugly.
The latest salvo: Today, an anonymous source from the show blasted Ashlee Simpson-Wentz on Fox411, claiming that "Ashlee was kicked off 'Melrose Place' because she was a total diva on set, late all the time, and deeply disliked by fellow cast members.''
Simpson-Wentz has been under fire all week. Yesterday, another anonymous 'Melrose'-er told US Mag that the show hired her "because they needed a good name to help create buzz but she was embarrassingly bad. Producers cut her down as much as possible.''
Twins on Television

It's official - this little girl is all grown up. I know it because at a party last week, a friend told me how much an actress on 'Bones' reminds her of me, and a bunch of complete strangers agreed.
Well it was actually a bit more complicated than that, because it took everyone a while to figure out which forensic procedural they meant - 'NCIS' and the various 'CSI's came up, but in the end it proved that Micheala Conlin, who plays Angela on 'Bones' was the doppelganger in question.
I am so flattered.
Not because Conlin is beautiful, which she is, or even because she's sort of famous, or because the character she plays is smart. I'm flattered because Conlin is not Lacey Chabert.

Jessica Simpson's new reality show finds a home
by Mike Moody, posted Jun 23rd 2009 12:12PM
We warned you about Jessica Simpson's latest idea for a reality TV show back in May. The pop star was shopping around a project starring herself called The Price of Beauty in which "she and a friend set off on a road trip around the world in search of what people find beautiful and why," according to an US Weekly source. It looks like the show is moving ahead and is set to air on VH1, the home of celebrity trash TV, sometime in 2010. Simpson will travel the world meeting women, and pop culture "icons," to discuss fashion, beauty and, of course, take part in some extreme beauty regimes and practices.

Jessica Simpson finds a new way to embarrass herself on TV
by Mike Moody, posted May 28th 2009 7:05PM
Some things in life are just inevitable. Your hair will turn gray, you'll have to pay taxes, and Jessica Simpson will always try to shove her particular brand of stupid in your face. The former Newlyweds star is reportedly shopping around a reality TV show called The Price of Beauty. Here's the concept, according to a US Weekly source: "She and a friend set off on a road trip around the world in search of what people find beautiful and why."
Reports describe the show as an exploration on society's outlook of women's bodies ... with a bit of Fear Factor thrown in! I'm not kidding. The source continued, saying that Simpson will do "shocking things that women do to make themselves beautiful. Picture Fear Factor."
Note to The Next Mrs. Bonaduce: Don't do it!
by Jane Boursaw, posted Nov 6th 2008 1:14PM
You'd think that celebrity couples would start getting the picture after a while. Don't do a reality show! It's just the death knell of any marriage, and I think you can probably name a few obituaries in that category: Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, Hulk and Linda Hogan, and Danny and Gretchen Bonaduce, to name a few. PopEater is reporting that the Bonaduce's divorce is a done deal, and he has to shell out $16K a month in spousal and child support. Guess how he's going to earn the cash -- a dating reality show called The Next Mrs. Bonaduce!
Now, what girl in her right mind would participate in such a fiasco? I mean, I have to admit that I watched his show, Breaking Bonaduce, a few times, and was weirdly transfixed to his train wreck of a life.
Dancing With The Stars: Week 2 Results
by Brett Love, posted Oct 1st 2008 12:05AM

(S07E05) It's time for the second week eliminations. The early week eliminations are always interesting times because, more often than not, the results are a little screwy. I'm reminded of past seasons that saw Jerry Springer, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Master P, to name a few, all hanging on far longer than their dancing abilities warranted. Would we see something similar tonight? The results, and a quick rundown of the results show performances, are after the jump.
