No One Thinks Jessica Capshaw Is a Lesbian Even Though She Plays One on TV (VIDEO)
Jessica Capshaw's character, Dr. Arizona Roberts, is about to be married to her girlfriend, Dr. Callie Torres, played by Sara Ramirez, on 'Grey's Anatomy.' It's the role for which she is best known, but Capshaw said today on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) that she is not mistaken as a lesbian in her real life as often as she would have thought, given the prominence of the show and the character she plays."Surprisingly not as much as I think you would think, because I think we watch television and we sort of come to understand characters as being real people," she said. "It's like if you saw Magnum P.I. on the street, you wouldn't think he was Tom Selleck, you'd think he was Magnum P.I. Same thing. But no."
What seems to upset her most was that no one seems interested in flirting. "The ladies don't give me a glance," she said. Also, no one has asked her to perform surgery. Not so much as a mole removal.
'Grey's Anatomy' Season 7, Episode 6 Recap
['Grey's Anatomy' - 'These Arms of Mine"]Last night, 'Grey's Anatomy' became 'Seattle Medical: Road to Recovery' -- less of a documentary and more of a reality show with its drunken camerawork, odd subtitling, closed captioning, and awkward close-ups of people breaking down.
The chief was convinced a PR boost would be a good thing, so he allowed a documentary crew to follow everyone around the hospital. He turned out to be a true political candidate who could rival any of the political ads that air airing during the commercials. His justification of the hospital's security system and shameless appreciation of Arizona and Alex was a bit much.
Jessica Capshaw Talks Playing Gay on 'Grey's Anatomy' (VIDEO)
It's hard for some fans to separate fact from fiction, Jessica Capshaw certainly knows that well. The 'Grey's Anatomy' star stopped by 'Live With Regis and Kelly' (weekdays, 9AM on ABC) and discussed some of her fan encounters."I think most people sort of know that I'm married and have a child, this, that and the other, but there's always one who will sort of say, 'You're so great on the show, thank you so much,' and I say, 'Thank you, I'm so lucky,'" Capshaw said.
"Then she said, 'Um, are you gay?' I'm always sort of like ... no, because I feel like that's a disappointing answer for her ... then she said, 'Oh, well 'cause I have a daughter who is gay and she's beautiful,' and she's still selling me the daughter!"
Giving Birth on 'Grey's Anatomy' (VIDEO)
On the last episode of 'Grey's Anatomy' (Thu., 9PM ET on ABC), a daughter unexpectedly showed up on her father's doorstep. To further complicate things, the daughter was pregnant. Now, to complicate things even more, that same daughter is going into labor -- on the floor of her dad's apartment.Watch the video after the jump.
Jessica Capshaw on Lesbian Kissing in 'Grey's Anatomy' (VIDEO)
Jessica Capshaw, who plays a lesbian on 'Grey's Anatomy,' said it's awkward kissing both men and women on camera. But, she thinks there's perhaps a bit more honesty present in a girl-girl kiss, she said on 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated). "Kissing scenes with a boy or a girl, they're awkward. There's nothing sexy about it. There's a lot of people standing around," Capshaw said. "With the ladies, I do have to say you're a little more honest with each other maybe. There's a sisterhood. There's a vulnerability, where you can go, 'You brushed your teeth, right?'"

'Grey's Anatomy' Star Jessica Capshaw Talks Lesbians, Demands & Dempsey's Humor
Jessica Capshaw caused quite a stir when she began her guest spot on 'Grey's Anatomy' last season -- and with a TV name like Arizona Robbins, how could she not?Not only was Capshaw's character a "replacement lesbian" for Brooke Smith's Dr. Hahn (who'd been let go earlier that year) -- romancing Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez) and heating up the on-call rooms at Seattle Grace even more -- but she was also vying to get Dr. Bailey to switch from surgery to pediatrics.
AOL TV sat down with Capshaw, now a series regular, to find out what it's like to be upgraded from guest star, which guy makes her laugh on set and working at a place where it's all about saving lives ... and having sex.

Grey's Anatomy: Now or Never (season finale)

(S05E24) "If you're not scared, you're not paying attention." - Bailey
I took a few hours off in between last night's two hour Grey's Anatomy finale. I knew it was going to be two posts since it was two episodes and so I sat and watched the first one, wrote it up, grabbed a few hours of sleep, and woke up trying to figure just what was going to happen in this episode before I watched it. Everything was so nicely set up (the first hour really could have served as a finale too) and once again, Grey's Anatomy caught us all off guard with what's arguably its biggest cliffhanger yet.
Grey's Anatomy: Here's to the Future

(S05E23) "I'm your tumor. You're talking to yourself." - Denny
Just when I was finally starting to get sucked back into Grey's Anatomy, when I had finally come to terms with the ridiculous Denny/Izzie sex, when I had finally said, "hey, I actually like where they went with this," he had to come back one more time to ruin it all. After last week, I thought we had seen the last of Denny Duquette. Izzie told him to go and he went. But it's like Denny said - he's Izzie's tumor and as long as she still has the brain lump, Denny's gonna keep getting a tan down at Izzie's imaginary beach. I think I speak collectively for the entire population of Earth when I say thank god Izzie chose to get the surgery.

Brian Austin Green cast in new sitcom from Will & Grace creators
The former 90210 and Freddie star will play the gay half of a writing team in a new sitcom from David Kohan and Max Mutchnick, the writing team that brought us Will & Grace. The show will be sorta based on their lives together, a writing team where one guy is straight and one guy is gay. Also cast are Jessica Capshaw and Vanessa Lengies. No word yet on who will play the straight half of the team.
I never watched 90210, so I have no idea what Greene was like on that show (though I do remember him as a kid on Knot's Landing). I do know that he was the best thing about Freddie, playing the horny, always scheming best friend of the Freddie Prinze, Jr. character, so this could be interesting.
