'South Park' Takes on Penn State Scandal Through a Social Worker's Bad Jokes (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Nov 17th 2011 4:00AM
Taking advantage of their speedy production time, this week's installment of 'South Park' (Wed., 10PM ET on Comedy Central) may have been about Kenny and his siblings being taken from their white trash parents and put into foster care, but it had another thread running throughout the narrative in the form of their CPS social worker.Apparently, he was more concerned about his comedy career than making sure the kids were put into good homes. To lighten the mood he continuously cracked jokes about the scandal at Penn State. The jokes were in terrible taste, but having them told through an unlikable character who was clearly being inappropriate was a very shrewd tactic by Parker and Stone.

'Two and a Half Men' star Ashton Kutcher's been hitting the headlines for all the wrong reasons recently, and last night he dug himself a massive hole to climb out of thanks to his prolific use of Twitter.Kutcher set off a firestorm with a controversial tweet (which has since been taken down from his page) in which he criticized the firing of Penn State Head Football Coach Joe Paterno: "How do you fire Jo Pa? #insult #noclass as a hawkeye fan I find it in poor taste."
After thousands of furious Twitter followers blasted his post, Kutcher then tweeted apologies, saying he didn't have the full story when he posted the first tweet: "This is an insane story, I just heard paterno was fired, getting the rest of the story now..." and "Fully recant previous tweet! ... Didn't have full story. #admitwhenYoumakemistakes."
