'The Talk' Takes a Look at the Many Hairstyles of Joey Lawrence (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Jun 29th 2011 6:30PM
Joey Lawrence on 'The Talk'Joey Lawrence, currently of 'Melissa & Joey,' has grown up on TV, acting and singing since he was five-years-old. That's a lot of time to make some bad fashion choices, and a lot of footage to enter into evidence. Which is exactly what happened Wednesday on 'The Talk' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS), when the ladies showed Lawrence a retrospective of his hairstyles over the years.

It started with the "bowl cut" look from 'Gimme a Break.' "I actually ran into Dorothy Hamill and I told her that I loved it," said Lawrence. "She gave me the bowl, and I used it, and my mom cut my hair." There was also the curly semi-mullet from 'Blossom' and his shaven head from 'Dancing With the Stars,' which Lawrence said came from his being a fan of Richard Marx and Mr. Clean, respectively.

'The Talk' producers then slipped in a Photoshopped picture of Lawrence with Sharon Osbourne's hair. Lawrence said he told his guy to do something different that day. "I'm the Lady Gaga of haircuts," he said. We can't wait to see his "meat head."

Melissa Joan Hart, Joey Lawrence Reunite for ABC Family Sitcom

by Chris Jordan, posted Feb 1st 2010 3:01PM
The chemistry between Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence, who co-starred in the ABC Family movie 'My Fake Fiance' last spring, was apparently good enough to warrant its own show.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the network has just ordered 10 episodes of a new comedy series, aptly titled 'Melissa & Joey.' The upcoming sitcom is set to hit the small-screen airwaves sometime this year.

'My Fake Fiance,' in which Hart and Lawrence played two schemers who stage an engagement between them to collect wedding presents, garnered more than three million viewers when it premiered in April. In the new series, Hart will play an overwrought politician who hires Lawrence to help straighten out her family issues.

Mayim Bialik talks about her faith and her return to acting

saving grace mayim bialik
I suppose if you want to be cynical, you could say that Mayim Bialik is in the midst of a comeback, with several recent television roles, including guest stints on Bones, Secret Life of the American Teenager, and now, Saving Grace. However, it's not as though the erstwhile star of Blossom has spent the last fifteen years sitting around waiting for the phone to ring. After the series' end, she attended UCLA, got married, had two children, and even earned her PhD last year.

Ms. (er, Dr.) Bialik has indeed been busy, but she is now looking to make her way back into Hollywood. She's guest-starring on Saving Grace tonight as Esther, a Hasidic Jewish mother of seven, whose own mother is found murdered in a field full of dead cows. I spoke with Mayim about Saving Grace, the lasting legacy of Blossom, and how she hopes people see her today.

Blossom's Boys - Joey vs. Tony - VIDEO

blossom mayim bialik nbc sitcom 90'sShould Blossom be considered classic sitcom? Mmmprobably not. But to many a 20-something, the NBC sitcom was an unlikely success that, through a blend of irreverence and quirkiness, lasted five seasons and proved culturally resonant in its approach to covering "realistic topics" relevant to teenagers of the nineties.

Joey Lawrence is hosting a new dance show for TLC

by Kristin Sample, posted May 16th 2008 6:07PM
Joey on Dancing with the StarsTLC has a new competition series called Master of Dance (worst title ever). The show will test dancers' skills by changing the song mid-performance to measure the breadth of their repertoire and the level of their creativity. This sounds a little too much like Freezedance but for prize money. The grand prise is $50,000 to be exact.

Joey Lawrence will host and there will be three judges: Lucinda Dickey (Solid Gold, Breakin'), Tyce Diorio (choreographer on So You Think You Can Dance), and Loni Love (comedienne voted one of Comedy Central's Top 20 Comics to Watch in 2008).
