CNN Anchor Kiran Chetry Makes Verbal Gaffe, Calls Osama Bin Laden 'Obama' (VIDEO)
by Anthony Ventre, posted Mar 18th 2010 12:11PM
Verbal gaffe alert -- CNN news anchor Kiran Chetry made an unfortunate slip of the tongue today on 'American Morning' (weekdays, 6AM ET on CNN), referring to Osama Bin Laden as "Obama." Teasing a report from CIA Director Leon Panetta, which stated that pressure from U.S. troops has pushed Al Qaeda's top leaders into deep hiding, Chetry said that Al Qaeda and affiliated terrorist groups were frustrated and "begging for leadership from Obama," rather than Osama. She quickly corrected herself, and the story played out as intended when the two reporters began the 8 AM news two minutes later.Watch the video after the jump.

The O'Briens are leaving American Morning

TV Week is reporting that CNN will make an official annoucement today about the fate of their morning show American Morning and the show's anchors, Miles O'Brien and Soledad O'Brien (from now on referred to as "The O'Briens.")
The two anchors are leaving the CNN program (ratings are down) and they are expected to be replaced by John Roberts and Kiran Chetry. If you're not sure about that name, Kiran Chetry is a woman who used to be on FOX News Channel's Fox & Friends. John Roberts came over to CNN last year and is, of course, a man.

Tonight's episode starts with the ongoing coverage of the courts. The first Justice Sunday was a 90-minute broadcast set on ending the filibuster against "people of faith". Okay, well they've called it again with Justice Sunday II. The superstars of this event included Zell Miller, Tom Delay, Dr. James Dobson, and... the Jerry Falwell Good Time Strict Constructionist Jamboree! Anyway, according to these people (Jamboree not included), the greatest threat to the people of faith are the out-of-control judges. Jon Stewart points out that one of the judges in question might be 4th Circuit Court of Appeals judge Osama bin Laden. The Daily Show: August 11, 2005
