'30 Rock' - 'Anna Howard Shaw Day' Recap

by Bob Sassone, posted Feb 12th 2010 12:50AM
'30 Rock' - 'Anna Howard Shaw Day'
(S04E13) "Valentine's Day is a sham created by greeting card companies to reinforce gender stereotypes." - Liz, to Pete's daughter

So here we have a Valentine's Day episode of '30 Rock,' where we find Liz without a date, Toofer set up on a date (with an ... urban woman), Frank doing his usual Frank stuff, and Lutz talking to the gang about his girlfriend, who no one believes is real. But he says that he has the proof on his web site.

And the web site is real! He insists that she, too, is real, though the pics show Karens Carpenter, Black, Allen, Walker, and whatever the last name of the girl from 'Frosty The Snowman' is.

Bon Jovi will appear on the season premiere of Inside The Actor's Studio (sigh)

by Bob Sassone, posted Nov 5th 2009 7:29PM
James LiptonLet's see: Bravo is owned by NBC and Bon Jovi is appearing on several NBC shows exclusively for a while, including Saturday Night Live, The Jay Leno Show, and Today (and doing a promo for all of the USA Network shows that feature a "hero"), so it's a natural that the band would appear with James Lipton on Inside The Actor's Studio, right? Right?

Jon Bon Jovi Signs Up as NBC's First 'Artist in Residence'

by Michael D. Ayers, posted Oct 15th 2009 1:17PM
Get ready to rock: NBC has announced a promotional partnership with Jersey-bred rocker Jon Bon Jovi in which he will become the network's first "Artist in Residence," the New York Times reports.

Bon Jovi's eleventh album 'The Circle' will be released on November 10, and instead of doing the usual media roundtables, the artist is confining himself to a slew of NBC-only efforts.

Jon Bon Jovi teams with NBCU for major album promotion

by Allison Waldman, posted Oct 14th 2009 8:27PM
jon_bon_joviIn the last month, Barbra Streisand, Whitney Houston and Michael Bublé have all appeared and sang on The Oprah Winfrey Show. All three have had number one albums. Coincidence? No. Good promotion (although Whitney had already reached number one by the time she warbled on Oprah). Therefore, I have to wonder why Jon Bon Jovi has entered an exclusive "artist in residence" deal with NBC Universal? For two months, Bon Jovi will promote the new Bon Jovi CD, The Circle, only just on NBCU channels.

You'll see him on Today, The Tonight Show, The Jay Leno Show, Saturday Night Live, a segment of the NBC Nightly News With Brian Williams and a sit down with James Lipton on Bravo's Inside the Actors' Studio. When The Circle is released on November 10, you'll know all about it... if you've watched NBC and Bravo.

Saturday Night Live: Jon Bon Jovi/Foo Fighters - VIDEOS

by Annie Wu, posted Oct 14th 2007 3:02PM
Jon Bon Jovi/Foo Fighters(S33E03) "Amy Poehler: 1986": I thought that this was a great choice for a cold open! A young, big-haired Amy Poehler being visited by a magical poster version of Jon Bon Jovi? Fantastic. In general, it was really cute and made me feel a little better about Bon Jovi's hosting abilities. I mean, not that it really mattered because he barely appeared in this episode, not counting the musical performances. Hey, whatever it takes to promote an album, right?
