Gosselin Kiddies Cleared to Hit Primetime Again

by Kim Potts, posted Apr 26th 2010 9:10AM
Reality star and recent 'Dancing With the Stars' ejectee Kate Gosselin may be flying solo as a divorced mom, but she won't be without co-stars in her upcoming series of 'Kate Plus 8' specials on TLC.

An official for the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry confirmed to EW.com that Gosselin had filed the proper paperwork that will allow her eight children to appear in the shows, a spin-off of the original 'Jon & Kate Plus 8' series that brought the Gosselin saga into our living rooms, for better or worse.

The children aren't scheduled to appear in the other Kate Gosselin reality series, 'Twist of Kate,' however. That series, which premieres on TLC this summer, will feature the ex-Mrs. Jon travelling around the country, meeting families who face major home/life/work challenges and then attempting to "walk a mile in their shoes."

Tom Bergeron: A Man's Guest Spot Is His 'Castle'

by Michael Maloney, posted Apr 9th 2010 9:07PM
'Dancing With the Stars' main man Tom Bergeron is playing Bobby Mann -- a late night talk show host who gets canceled permanently on the April 12 episode of 'Castle,' which airs on ABC immediately after the 'DWTS' two-hour performance show. It's up to series star Nathan Fillion and his TV detective partner, played by Stana Katic, to find out who killed Bobby.

AOL spoke with Bergeron, who weighed in on 'Castle,' the current -- and arguably most-talked about -- cast of 'Dancing With the Stars,' and how he handles those pesky TMZ.com interviews.

Hailey Glassman: Jon Gosselin Abuses Me (Video)

by Donald Deane, posted Oct 29th 2009 4:01PM

Hailey GlassmanThings for Jon Gosselin, former star of 'Jon & Kate Plus 8' and shoo-in for Father of the Year, are about to get much, much worse. 'The Insider' is preparing to air an exclusive bombshell interview containing shocking revelations by Gosselin's 22-year-old girlfriend, Hailey Glassman.

A tearful Glassman reportedly breaks down during the interview and alleges she's the victim of emotional abuse at the hands of Gosselin. "He's done some really cruel things to me," she says. Additionally, Glassman complains about the negative attention that dating a reality star brings, as do accusations of being a "homewrecker." "I can't be a normal 22-year-old. I can't have friends anymore," says an emotional Glassman.

Jon Gosselin does damage control on Larry King

Jon Gosselin on Larry King
What a mess the whole Jon & Kate Plus 8 Minus 1 debacle is. Apparently, after learning that TLC was moving forward with a revamped show named Kate Plus 8, Jon demanded through his lawyers that the show cease production immediately or face criminal charges.

A letter from his attorney noted, "In the event that anyone enters the marital property, Jon Gosselin will notify the local authorities to effectuate police action against any trespassers." Keep in mind that Jon seemed fine with the kids being on the show last week, when he was still a big part of the show and was, in fact, filming an episode with the kids.

EW declares the all-time best and worst of reality television

by Jason Hughes, posted Jun 11th 2009 3:00PM
Jeff ProbstConsidering how prevalent reality television is these days, it's got to be a pretty daunting task to try and put together a comprehensive list of the best and worst of all time. But Entertainment Weekly thinks they've done just that. They've compiled the top 20 reality shows of all time, but also the ten worst reality shows of all time. All in all, they did a pretty damned good job.

I completely agree with the top six, but they lose me with Jackass at number seven. I have never understood the appeal of filming morons doing stupid things on purpose just to be stupid. But there were some shows missing from the list completely, like Little People Big World, So You Think You Can Dance and Beauty and the Geek. Surely those shows are better than The Hills and The Real Housewives of Sesame Street, or whatever franchise they're spinning now.

Octomom finally gets her reailty show ... now if someone would only air it

by Jason Hughes, posted Jun 1st 2009 1:04PM
Nadya Actually, even saying Octomom Nadya Suleman is getting a reality show is generous. She's got a production deal with a production company out of the Netherlands to produce a show spotlighting key events in her children's lives. And no television network signed on to air it as of yet. The company is modeling it after a TV series in Denmark that documented four children all the way through to adulthood. Which means we may have some time yet before we're subjected to it.

Don't get me wrong, kids are cute and everybody loves multiples, but the big problem here is Angelina Jolie Suleman herself. You thought watching Jon & Kate's strained marriage was difficult ... wait ... oh shit! Drama more than doubled the ratings for Jon & Kate Plus 8's season premiere. Do you realize what we've done? She's coming and there's no force on this earth that's going to stop her. She's had a few deals already that have fallen through, but this one looks like it won't. It's no coincidence that her nickname sounds like a monster!

Preview of Jon & Kate Plus 8's new season: Two minutes of crippling sadness

by Kona Gallagher, posted May 21st 2009 2:00PM
jon & kate plus 8
Even if you've never seen a single episode of the TLC mega-hit Jon & Kate Plus 8, chances are you've been hearing a lot about it lately. Specifically, the rumors of infidelities, open marriage contracts, and staying together not for the kids, but for the cameras. One should always take tabloid stories with a grain (or a pound) of salt, but when the issues make their way onto the actual show? Perhaps there is something to them.

TLC just released a two-minute clip of the May 25 season premiere of Jon & Kate Plus 8 (video also after the jump), and, well, it's awkward, to say the least. One of the hallmarks of the show is that Jon and Kate always squeeze onto a love seat together to do their interviews. In the season premiere, however, each one is sitting alone on the couch. Gone is the playful banter; in its place is a woman who looks as though she's spending every ounce of her energy trying not to scream, and a man who just looks beaten down by life. It's not exactly the family-friendly entertainment viewers are used to.

'Kyle XY'
(9PM, ABC Family) 3rd season premiere
Prom night ... it wasn't 'Carrie,' but it certainly didn't end the way Kyle hoped it would in last season's finale. He and girlfriend Amanda admitted they're in love, but then she disappeared, and Kyle's only clue was a Latnok ring left in her absence.
