Wayne Brady Struck By Laughing Fit on 'Let's Make a Deal' (VIDEO)
by Alex Moaba, posted Oct 4th 2011 12:30PM
Wayne Brady had a good laugh at his own expense Tuesday on 'Let's Make a Deal' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS). It all started when announcer Jonathan Mangum read an absurd fictional passage from Brady's "diary" that included a note about him "breaking a nail while jazzercising in the East Wing," and rubbing his fingers in Jamiroquai's porridge.Brady doubled over in laughter listening to the bit as soft piano music played. "It's that jazzercise getting to you, isn't it," Mangum quipped. Brady took about 20 seconds to compose himself, and when he finally stopped laughing, couldn't really string a sentence together and blanked on what the clue was.
Wayne Brady Slings Some Mud (VIDEO)
by Chris Harnick, posted Apr 6th 2010 3:05PM
When it comes down to it, Wayne Brady isn't afraid to sling a little mud. The 'Let's Make a Deal' (weekdays, syndicated on CBS) host took a contestant's zonk prize, a mud facial kit, and fittingly enough, got down and dirty with it.
Brady slapped some mud on his own face and went on to torture 'Deal' announcer Jonathan Mangum. Is it just us or does Mangum seem to be really afraid of mud?

'Let's Make a Deal' Stars Perform Freestyle Rap (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Mar 5th 2010 4:00PM
Announcer Jonathan Mangum performs a freestyle rap while host Wayne Brady acts as human beatbox and provides backing scratch noises on 'Let's Make a Deal' (weekdays, 10AM ET on CBS). Mangum and Brady lay down an impromptu rap inspired by a contestant wearing a tuxedo, crown and sash that reads "Prom King." But despite their best efforts, the rhyme is, unfortunately, busted.

Best and Worst TV of 2009: Joel's list
by Joel Keller, posted Dec 19th 2009 2:04PM

I don't think I did one of these lists last year, and I have no idea why. The election all by itself would have generated a pretty fun best/worst list. Maybe we were all suffering from information overload, and were just exhausted. Not sure.
But 2009 had a lot of interesting TV, too, just not all in one category. As I've done in the past, I'll dispense with the usual "best show" and "worst show" lists and just make up categories:
GOODNESS
Best comeback from a shaky first season: Parks and Recreation. As I mentioned in my "return of the sitcom" story, Parks and Rec has made the biggest improvement from first season to second since... well, since The Office. It's no coincidence; Greg Daniels and Mike Schur's Office experience taught them that patience would be rewarded, both on the part of the writers and the viewers.
