Judd Nelson Plays a Quirky Doc on 'Psych' (VIDEO)

by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 18th 2010 8:07AM
Psych, Judd NelsonWe'll always think of Judd Nelson as the "the criminal" who stole Molly Ringwald's heart (and a few other things) on 'The Breakfast Club.'

But now he's all grown up and showing his quirky side as a kooky doctor on 'Psych' (Wed., 10PM ET on USA). We hope his wish to dissect Shawn's temporal lobe doesn't come to pass. We're ok with the DNA part, though.

Now if only he'd show up on 'The Secret Life of the American Teenager' so he can steal Ringwald's heart again.

Watch the video after the jump.

Psych: Murder? ...Anyone? ...Anyone? ...Bueller?

by Allison Waldman, posted Jul 26th 2008 10:02AM
Bueller Psych(S03E02) From the title, it was clear tonight's show was going to relate to Ferris Bueller's Day Off. In fact, in true Shawn and Gus fashion, the entire John Hughes' oeuvre was mined for comic gold, as Gus was hosting the 13th high school reunion -- that's right. Not 10, but 13 years. Ironically, in 1995 there was no John Hughes movie. Never mind, the references were more '80s than '90s anyway, including Milo and Otis, Karla DeVito, and all those Hughes movies.

Overall, there was something lacking tonight. The setting came first, Gus and Shawn's class reunion, then the case. It was like Murder She Wrote, where Jessica Fletcher just happens to stumble onto a murder wherever she is.

It seemed an awkward arrangement. The show is better when Shawn and Gus horn in on a Santa Barbara PD case.

Paul Gleason dead at 67

by Annie Wu, posted May 29th 2006 7:51AM
Paul GleasonIt's not often that a celebrity obituary throws me into such a sudden shock that I can't do anything but stare blankly at the screen for several minutes. Well, this is one of them. Actor Paul Gleason passed away on Saturday from a rare form of asbestos-related lung cancer. He was 67 years-old. Gleason has appeared in various television roles, but he's probably most recognized as the vicious Principal Vernon from The Breakfast Club. The film has a very special place in my heart because when my friends and I have to dress up in costume for something, we always go as the Club (and I'm always the Basketcase).

This news is really quite upsetting. Time for me to break the news to the rest of my Breakfast Club.
