Susie Essman and Jeff Lewis Play 'Guess the Hairy Armpit' on 'Watch What Happens Live' (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Jul 15th 2011 6:20PM
When it comes to gross, time-wasting late-night TV games, 'Watch What Happens Live' (Thursdays and Sundays, 11PM on Bravo) is the clear-cut intergalactic champion. On Thursday's edition, host Andy Cohen and his guests Susie Essman and Jeff Lewis celebrated 'Pit-stille Day' by looking at pictures of a woman's hairy armpit and guessing to whom it belonged. For the first armpit, Cohen gave them the choice of Beyonce, Rihanna, or NeNe Leakes. "You know, I don't want to say what that looks like," said Essman. Cohen was thinking the same thing. Essman and Lewis both guessed wrong, as it turned out to be Beyonce. For a particularly unattractive patch, they were given the choices of Julia Roberts, Amy Winehouse, or Courtney Love. Surprisingly, it was Roberts.
Essman wound up the champion, and received a $1,000 gift certificate for hair removal as a prize. Lewis was happy he didn't win. "I would never have used that," he said. Cohen said he had heard otherwise. Oh, the dalliances of the Hollywood hirsute.
Tom Hanks Crashes David Letterman's Interview With Julia Roberts (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 1st 2011 4:07AM
However Julia Roberts thought her appearance on 'Late Show' (Weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS) might go, it all went completely out the window when Tom Hanks ran onto the set asking if he could play.He joined David Letterman on a trivia-based question for Roberts. Letterman asked her questions about Hanks, and Hanks had the answers already written down on sheets in his lap. Except, even this didn't go as Roberts might have expected.
"How many children does Tom have?" Letterman asked. Julia's answer: "Four, as far as he knows." Tom's answer: "Honestly, no idea. Actually, she got that one the closest."
"Is any of this really going to get people to go see our movie?" she asked between peals of laughter.
Tom Hanks: 'Larry Crowne' Press Junket Getting 'Damn Good Reviews' (VIDEO)
by Nick Zaino, posted Jun 29th 2011 11:40AM
Matt Lauer noted Wednesday on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM on NBC) that the teacher/student romance in 'Larry Crowne' isn't creepy because the two characters involved, played by Julia Roberts and Tom Hanks, are roughly the same age. But according to Hanks, that romance came down to a coin flip, and 'Larry Crowne' could have been a very different movie."The other teacher is George Takei, Mr. Sulu, and between the two of them, we flipped a coin to see, where will the romance begin?" said Hanks. "We're talking to a whole different mass audience, I'm telling you right now. Timely, without a doubt. But a different audience."
Lauer also asked Hanks about the press tour for the movie, which included an appearance on the Spanish-language 'Despierta America' where he danced with weather woman Chiqui Delgado while delivering the forecast. "I think our press junket is getting damn good reviews," he said.
Tom Cruise Returns to 'Oprah' in May
by Rich Keller, posted Apr 23rd 2010 4:30PM
What do you do when you're Oprah Winfrey, you're ending your mega-successful show in about a year and you want your audience to surge during the May sweeps? First, you get Tom Cruise to return to your program. Then, you fill in around that. That's exactly what Oprah is doing on her show. On the May 14 installment Cruise, along with Cameron Diaz, will show up to promote their upcoming action-comedy 'Knight and Day.' Don't look for too much couch-jumping by Mr. Cruise, though, as he has a movie to promote.
Surrounding Cruise's appearance are a bevy of personalities, both in and out of Hollywood, that will stop by to chat with Miss O. This includes Simon Cowell, Dolly Parton, former First Lady Laura Bush, Julia Roberts and, for all of you screaming teenage girls out there, Justin Bieber. The full schedule can be found after the jump.
Garry Marshall and Martha Stewart Take a Shower Together? (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 17th 2010 10:26PM
While soap stones are definitely more appealing than panty roses, the atmosphere on 'The Martha Stewart Show' (weekdays, syndicated) still managed to turn awkward today. While making the stones with Martha Stewart, Garry Marshall asked if they'd be taking a shower together. Hey, we can think of worse people to take a shower with than Marshall. At least the 'Valentine's Day' director would make us laugh and maybe even get us an intro to Julia Roberts or Hector Elizondo (not in the shower, though; that could get crowded).
But Stewart and Marshall in a shower together? We're really sorry about that visual. Really.

Do blondes have more fun? Yes, if they're Shirley MacLaine, Emma Roberts and Julia Roberts.Access Hollywood's (weekdays, 7:30PM on NBC) Shaun Robinson posed that question to the three actresses on the red carpet at the Monday night Los Angeles premiere of their latest film, 'Valentine's Day.'

"I don't get checked out," Julia Roberts said.

Eric Dane Talks Julia Roberts, 'Hope for Haiti' on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (VIDEO)
by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 5th 2010 4:00AM
At first glance, things looked pretty incriminating for Eric Dane at the 'Hope for Haiti' Telethon. Seriously, who could concentrate with Julia Roberts sitting next to them? Not Dane! But it turns out that him ignoring his phone and chatting up Roberts was more innocent than it looks. The fact of the matter is that she was on his phone. He explained all on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12:05AM ET on ABC).

The folks at our sister site Cinematical are working hard to give you news and reviews of the best -- and worst -- the silver screen has to offer. Here are some of their musings on the latest blockbusters, indies, and everything in between:- Chuck's Zachary Levi is in a movie! He plays Ray, a half-Pakistani/half-white actor trying to make it in Hollywood and dating Life's Sarah Shahi. It's a TV bonanza! Check out the trailers for Shades of Ray over on Cinematical.
- I knew that The Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan collaborated with his brother on the script for Memento, but it's his other brother who is wanted for kidnapping and murder. Get the details on Cinematical.
- With the economy in the crapper, nobody really gives a crap about the environment at the moment, but you can still do some good. If you buy a ticket to Earth on its opening weekend, Disney will plant a tree in your name.
