'Big Brother' - Matt's Terrible Lie Is Revealed, Now He's "Going to Hell" (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Sep 3rd 2010 4:41AM
"Now that the game is over, I got no reason to lie; I want people to know the real Matt." These are the non-wise words of Matt Hoffman on the latest 'Big Brother' (Thu., 8PM ET on CBS).For the first time this season, we got to peek inside the Jury House, where the eliminated contestants are sequestered. We thought the big excitement would be from seeing the reunion of insane lovebirds Brendon and Rachel. But actually, it was Matthew who supplied all the drama.
For some reason, Matt decided to reveal to his housemates that he had lied to them. This was done with the goal of showing them the "real Matt," but that was ... maybe not the best idea of all time. After all, the "real" Matt is kind of a weird scheming jerk. Maybe it's better not to reveal this to everyone.
'Big Brother' - Welcome to the Non-Stop Twelve-Hour Dance Party (VIDEO)

If you were tuning into 'Big Brother' for the first time this season, you could have been forgiven for thinking you had ended up on the wrong channel. "Hey, what's with all the dancing?"you might have said to yourself. "This ain't 'Big Brother.' This must be 'Soul Train,' or ... some obscure dancing-related show that I can't remember the name of."But no! This is still 'Big Brother' (Wed., 8PM ET on CBS). And tonight, all the contestants got to shake their "groove thang" -- so to speak.

'Big Brother': Will Lane Choose Hottie Britney or "Bro" Enzo? (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Aug 30th 2010 6:30AM
With the 'Big Brother' house down to the "Final 5," it was time to make some tough decisions. Unfortunately, the burden of making a choice fell squarely on Lane's shoulders -- and he wasn't really up to the task.[Spoiler alert.]
Tonight's show (Sun., 8PM ET on CBS) was a "Head of Household" episode. This led to some problems, as Lane was torn between his crush on hot girl Britney, and his loyalty to the all-dude Brigade. Rather than dealing with any of this, Lane tried to intentionally lose the Head of Household competition -- which consisted of a game of "Big Brother Blackjack." Lane wanted to fail on purpose, and tried to let Enzo win the game. ... Interesting strategy!
Double Elimination on 'Big Brother': the Players Kick Out the Bad Guys (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Aug 26th 2010 11:52PM
We lost two more contestants on tonight's 'Big Brother' (Thu., 8PM ET on CBS). Yes, it's a double eviction night! The castmates decided to get rid of the two craziest people in the house. This was a good decision for them (as it will mean less drama), but it might result in a less entertaining show for us.[Spoiler alert.]
First up for elimination: Matt and Enzo. Hilariously, Enzo is still wearing his dorky penguin costume from the previous episode. The pair both give their "please don't kick me out" speeches -- but it's clear from his demeanor that Matt knows he's doomed. And sure enough, by a unanimous vote, Matt is booted from the house.
'Big Brother' - Britney Fumes, Brendon Triumphs, Enzo Dresses Like a Penguin (VIDEO)

Brendon may be dumb and oafish. He may be way too egotistical. And he may have gone temporarily insane after his girlfriend Rachel was evicted from the house. But to counter all of this -- he's also pretty good at the game of 'Big Brother' (Wed., 8PM ET on CBS).[Spoiler alert.]
The picture to the right says a thousand words. Britney has been trying her darnedest to get Brendon kicked off the show. But tonight she failed again -- and Brendon triumphed, winning the Power of Veto. Once this happened, Britney totally freaked out.
Matt Blindsides Brendon, Uses the "Diamond Veto" on 'Big Brother' (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Aug 20th 2010 12:04AM
"Better luck next time, you big dummy." These are Matt's words to Brendon on the latest episode of 'Big Brother' (Thu., 8PM ET on CBS). To be fair, we don't want to necessarily endorse what Matt said. Although Brendon is kind of a big dummy -- so, yeah, maybe we will just go with that.[Spoiler alert.]
Brendon is continuing his campaign of terror as Head of Household. He's still enraged that the other housemates kicked off his skanky semi-girlfriend Rachel, and he's lashing out at anyone and everyone. Now, Matt and Lane are up on the dreaded elimination block. ... But then, Matt unleashes the magical DIAMOND POWER OF VETO.
'Big Brother' - Crazy Brendon Wants Revenge for Having His Girlfriend Kicked Off (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Aug 16th 2010 6:15AM
Well, it is better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all. Unless your name is "Brendon," that is.[Spoiler alert.]
On 'Big Brother' (Sun., 8PM ET on CBS), Brendon is still mad that the other housemates kicked off his fairly skanky "showmance" girlfriend Rachel Reilly. So he decides to take his odd revenge: which involves saying crazy stuff and yelling at the sky. .... Brendon won the Head of Household competition, which gives him power over the other players. But he's still not getting the central message of the show.
If we could just break it down for a second:
1) Rachel was kicked off because she was fairly mean and arrogant.
2) It's a reality TV contest; therefore, being rude and arrogant is not a good way to win over other people and get votes.
3) Or, you can be arrogant inside your own head, if you really want. But be clever about it -- and don't announce your own rudeness. Because this is how Rachel got thrown off in the first place.
But of course, Brendon don't get this at all. He's still incredibly angry that his girlfriend was eliminated. So when he becomes Head of Household, he just rants and raves and further alienates all the other contestants.
'Big Brother' - Who Is the Latest Player Evicted? Will It Be Rachel or Brendon? (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Aug 12th 2010 11:50PM
Yeah! Let's rock! It's time to kick someone else out of this house. As you may remember from our continuing coverage of 'Big Brother' (Thu., 8PM ET on CBS), universally disliked "showmance" couple Rachel and Brendon were both up for eviction. The pair have fallen in love, and on the last episode, Brendon showed his passion for Rachel by intentionally trying to get himself kicked off the show instead of her. Would that fairly odd strategy work? Who was eliminated tonight? Brendon? Or his girlfriend?
And the player thrown out is...

Will the Saboteur Return on 'Big Brother'? (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Aug 8th 2010 10:20PM
Beware of Pandora's Box! ...As you may or may not know, "Pandora's Box" was a mythical container. Once it was opened, this box would unleash all the evil in the world. And now it's back, in 'Big Brother' form.[Spoiler alert.]
On the latest episode of the show (Sun., 8PM ET on CBS), Matt gets a super-special "Diamond Power of Veto." But this veto might have a potential dark side. Uh-oh.
As it turns out, the new "Diamond Veto" comes with a curse. The curse involves the return of the dreaded "Saboteur." But since the previous Saboteur was Annie -- the first girl who was kicked off the show -- this means that we're going to need a replacement.
Ragan is offered the position. If he chooses, he can become the next Saboteur. Will he accept the offer of $20,000, and then turn against the other contestants?
Will Ragan do the right thing or the wrong thing? And could Matt's mistake lead to much more trouble for the rest of the household?
'Big Brother' Couple Rachel and Brendon Get Into a Lovers' Quarrel (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Aug 4th 2010 10:35PM
As we mentioned last time around, "showmance" couple Rachel and Brendon have taken over the 'Big Brother' household. They've decided to square off against the second 'Big Brother' couple -- which consists of Kristen and Hayden.Somehow, magically, Rachel has gotten "Head of Household" power, and so she's put both Kristen and Hayden on the elimination block. It makes no sense that Rachel is in charge of things now -- except that maybe it does. ... Yes, she seems kind of dumb. But she's also kind of good at playing this game. Her overly self-confident rudeness really kind of works in the reality game show format.
But on tonight's show (Wed., 8PM ET on CBS), Rachel may have gone too far. Brendon gets angry at her for saying "Bring it on!" to the other players. Then, he correctly points out that saying such a thing might -- y'know -- annoy the other players, and asks Rachel to apologize to them. Which is when Rachel freaks out and gets mad.
'Big Brother' Girl Fight! (VIDEO)

Great. Now we have two rival couples on 'Big Brother' (Sun., 8PM ET on CBS). As if Rachel and Brendon weren't annoying enough.[Spoiler alert.]
Now, it is confirmed that Kristen and Hayden are also a couple. This leads to a lot of anger from Rachel. Why? Because everything on 'Big Brother' leads to someone getting angry. Rachel also continues on with the non-clever plan of the current contestants on the show. She decides that she wants to kick Kristen and Hayden off; so she announces that's she's going to kick Kristen and Hayden off. Wow. Super-crafty, Rachel!
Then, for a long time, Rachel and Kristen and their respective boyfriends just fight, in an effort to decide who is being more skanky. Here is a sample of their conversation ...
RACHEL: "I heard you AND Hayden making out last night!"
KRISTEN: "Bullsh*t! ... Why would we ever do something so stupid in the room with you?"
RACHEL: "Why would I lie about that?"
HAYDEN: "You're making sh*t up!"
Another Contestant Goes Home on 'Big Brother' (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Jul 29th 2010 11:35PM
It's always nice to be proved right. As you may remember, the last time we talked about 'Big Brother' (Thu., 8PM ET on CBS), we predicted that a certain contestant might be getting himself in trouble. And tonight, that contestant was kicked off the show. Which is to say ... we were right! YES! YES! IN YOUR FACE, YOU![Spoiler alert.]
Ahem. Anyway, sorry about that. So, previously on 'Big Brother,' Andrew came up with the plan of crazily acting like he was against Rachel and Brendon. But at the same time, he also made a speech asking Brendon for help. And it turned out that he was also secretly in league with Brendon and Rachel, and that this was all part of some larger genius master-plan. Unfortunately, this bizarre combination of conflicting ideas just ended up freaking all the other contestants out.
Tonight, Andrew tried to avoid being kicked out of the house. But his plan was the same as last time. He just stood up in front of the group and announced everything that he was doing. Great. Non-clever-ish! Andrew's speech also sort of involved him telling all the other housemates about their personal flaws. And the people in the room were all horrified.
'Big Brother' Contestant Andrew Freaks Out and Goes Crazy (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Jul 28th 2010 11:10PM
Welcome back to the most confusing reality show on television! Yes, we're back in the 'Big Brother' household, for another week of backstabbing and overly complex plans that never really work out. If you haven't been following along with the show, then honestly, it's getting a little weird. This right here might help provide you with a brief primer. At any rate, the important thing that happened on the show tonight (Wed., 8PM ET on CBS) is that Andrew freaked out.[Spoiler alert.]
Matt is currently the Head of Household, and Andrew and Kathy are up for eviction. But it's a "veto" episode, which means that one them could get immunity and not be kicked off the show. But it's gross romancer Brendon who wins the power of awarding the veto. (Confusing, right?)
Anyway, this is the point at which Andrew freaks out. He and Kathy both get a chance to state why they should not be eliminated. Kathy makes a very modest speech. And then Andrew does one the weirder things that we've ever seen on reality TV. His speech is so bizarre that it kind of needs to be quoted in full:
"I had a chance to save myself during the competition and unfortunately I didn't, so congratulations, Brendon. This game is ironic. A few weeks ago Brendon and Rachel ousted Matt, and they saved him by voting for him to stay in the house. Matt fired back and said 'I'm going after Brendon and Rachel,' but he didn't put them on the block. All three of them are unscarred from all of the weeks that passed and their strategy worked, so I am going to try that strategy. Brendon and Rachel, I'm coming after you. And Brendon, I would like for you to give me the Power of Veto, to save me."
The 'Big Brother' Players Get Grossed Out by a Couple (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Jul 26th 2010 2:50AM
Since the early days of 'Big Brother' (Sun., 8PM ET on CBS), housemates Rachel and Brendon have been messing around. This has been fairly painful for everyone to watch. The pair are kind of cute -- but they're also incredibly dumb, self-absorbed, and annoying. Now, the other contestants' patience is starting to reach the breaking point.[Spoiler alert.]
Poor Andrew is stuck being roommates with the two of them, and every time he enters the room, Rachel and Brendon are either making out or are trying to have sex. Ugh. Andrew is embarrassed, and tries just to pop in, grab some clothes, and get out. But meanwhile, Rachel is frustrated by Andrew's "constant" presence. Um? Rachel? He's your roommate. Where else is he supposed to go?
Meanwhile, Britney (who never liked Rachel much anyway) has been monitoring the couple, and does a continual running commentary on their skanky activities. This is Britney's final conclusion about the whole thing: " ... It's, like, nauseating." Good point, Britney! That's the first smart thing that you've said on this show!
Matt Is Exposed on 'Big Brother' (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Jul 23rd 2010 1:20AM
Well, there's nothing better than being proved right. Yesterday, we suggested that supposed "super-genius" Matt may have outsmarted himself. And tonight, on 'Big Brother' (Thu., 8PM ET on CBS), this theory proved to be correct.[Spoiler alert.]
Matt offered himself up as a "pawn," in order to get Monet out of the house. But he only did this in order to win the trust of all the remaining players, so that he could lie and deceive them and win the game. Unfortunately, Matt thinks that he's so clever that he can't help yapping to everyone about what he's doing. And so he revealed that he thought that Rachel and Brendon were "idiots" for going along with his plan.
