When she married Prince William back in April the ceremony was televised to a global audience estimated at 1 billion viewers.

Middleton came out favorably on all accounts.

"I think she's very comfortable and confident in who she is and in her style," said Zoe. "And I think she's just really hitting ... an incredible, like, I mean, the bright colors, the knee-length. by Jason Hughes, posted May 12th 2011 4:17AM
Albert Brooks, 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart'The death of Osama Bin Laden did a lot to overshadow the blanket coverage of the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. But Albert Brooks isn't over it yet. On 'The Daily Show' (Weeknights, 11PM ET on Comedy Central), he admitted he "can't stop thinking about this Kate Middleton."

"I dream about her," he said. "I think about her. I want to be her first Jew."

Joy Behar and Sherri Shepherd Critique the Royal Wedding on 'The View'

by Jean Bentley, posted Apr 29th 2011 2:55PM
The ViewAs to be expected, the hat-clad ladies of 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated) had plenty of opinions to offer about this morning's Royal Wedding. Joy Behar went the fashion route, critiquing the dresses of the day. She described the Queen's canary yellow ensemble as "a bumble bee with a drinking problem ... she looks like a taxi cab!"

The other ladies on the panel were much more supportive, with Sherri Shepherd voicing her approval and Elisabeth Hasselbeck calling the outfit "happy."

Meanwhile, Sherri and a producer spent their time scrutinizing the Royal Wedding footage for the few and far between people of color in the audience.

"They had one little black child in the choir," she joked, before pointing out the group of folks seated toward the front of Westminster Abbey. "They're all segregated, but look, they're in the front! So we've got the Rosa Parks moment."

Prince William and Kate Middleton Take Royal Joyride in Aston Martin Convertible (VIDEO)

by Jean Bentley, posted Apr 29th 2011 12:10PM

Just like any other married couple, Prince William and his new bride Kate Middleton drove off together in a festively decorated car after their 'Royal Wedding' (6AM on NBC).

Unlike most people, though, their ride was Prince Charles' royal blue Aston Martin convertible, decked out in the, uh, traditional royal streamers and helium balloons with a "JU5T WED" license plate.

With William at the wheel, the couple drove through the streets of London and waved at the crowds. As the 'Today' show anchors were quick to point out, the ride was decidedly un-planned and un-royal. Their only official escort was the dark Range Rover keeping close pace behind them.

Good Show, William and Kate! A List of Royal Wedding Highlights

by Maureen Ryan, posted Apr 29th 2011 10:45AM
Prince William and Kate MiddletonAs I said in a piece earlier this week, the British royal family knows how to put on a great production, but my expectations were exceeded by the flawless, joyous wedding of Prince William and the former Kate Middleton on Friday morning.

If you enjoy pomp, ceremony, pageantry, fashion and glimpses of august English institutions doing what they do best, Friday's wedding was wonderfully satisfying. The perfectly polished horse-drawn carriages on the Mall, the sweet outfits of the pageboys and bridesmaids, Kate's classy gown, the trumpet fanfares, the grandeur of the tree-lined Westminster Abbey -- it was all heavenly for this Anglophile.

Even people who don't normally go for that sort of thing were grudgingly impressed. "Nicely done, monarchy!" Time's James Poniewozik tweeted.

The Newly Married Royal Couple Take a Carriage Ride to Buckingham Palace (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 29th 2011 8:48AM

Kate Middleton & Prince William, Royal Wedding coverageIn a touching tribute to his mother Princess Diana, William and Kate took their first carriage ride from Westminster Abbey after their Royal Wedding (Fri., 6AM ET on CBS) in the same State Landau carriage that carried the newly crowned Diana from her own wedding ceremony in 1981. The carriage was built for King Edward VII in 1902, making it a royal tradition in itself.

Kate Middleton, the newly titled Duchess of Cambridge, was grace and poise on the carriage ride from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace. She smiled graciously and waved to the euphoric crowd, looking more comfortable in this very public affair than Prince William himself, who obviously grew up very much in the spotlight.

Prince William and Kate Middleton Are Married in Westminster Abbey (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 29th 2011 8:06AM

William and Kate, Royal Wedding coverageAfter all the circumstance and excitement building up to the Royal Wedding (Fri., 6AM ET on CNN), the ceremony itself was really quite traditional. Prince William and Kate Middleton exchanged traditional vows. There was only one ring, and a brief moment of resistance as William pushed it onto Kate's hand.

There were no major hiccups and no major surprises, which is good news for everyone in attendance. It was as beautiful as anticipated, and yet you could feel a strange sense in the air when they were pronounced husband and wife. After all this, the moment was over.

But of course, it won't be over at all as now we have Royal newlyweds to watch as they take their first steps into the world as the newly titled Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. We thought the ceremony was the perfect blend of sophistication, class and simplified approachability.

Kate Middleton's Wedding Dress Revealed, Designed by Sarah Burton (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Apr 29th 2011 7:29AM

Prince Harry, Prince William & Kate Middleton, Royal Wedding coverageThe mystery was revealed at the Royal Wedding (Fri., 6AM ET on CNN) as Kate Middleton stepped out of her Bentley and presented her much-anticipated wedding dress to the world. The newly titled Duchess of Cambridge -- Prince William is the Duke, of course -- went with modern designer Sarah Burton, creative director of Alexander McQueen.

Her head was adorned with the halo tiara Queen Elizabeth II's father, King George VI, gave her on her 18th birthday. The elegant dress was both simple and decadent, featuring a much shorter 8-foot train than the one that almost bogged down Princess Diana's arrival the last time the world stopped for a Royal Wedding.

Diana's train was a mind-blowing 25 feet long, which looked fabulous cascading behind her, but was almost overwhelming as she exited her own vehicle. Middleton's exit was flawless.

TV 101: The Royal Wedding Is Coming ... Why Do We Care, Again?

by Dr. Ryan Vaughan, PhD (no, seriously), posted Apr 28th 2011 1:00PM
Prince William and Kate MiddletonYesterday, I overheard some random woman in line at the drug store say to her friend, "Let's call in sick on Friday and watch the Royal Wedding!" As she blathered on while coyly posing next to Time magazine's special royal wedding issue, I thought about the upcoming regal nuptials and why anyone outside of the royal family and a handful of jilted exes would even care that it's happening.

The concept of royalty is pretty fascinating if you really sit down and think about it, preferably over some scones. As archaic and absurd as monarchy is in our current cultural climate, it doesn't stop us from trying to construct our own hierarchy of arbitrary and meaningless power. We want the glitz and the glam of a royal family to gossip and obsess over -- so much so that we've created our own warped nobility out of people who have done nothing to deserve it: celebrities.

Natasha Bedingfield Talks William and Kate's Chemistry (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Apr 27th 2011 12:45PM
Natasha Bedingfield on 'The Early Show'If you're from England and doing press for any reason, count on being asked about the upcoming nuptials of Prince William and Kate Middleton. Natasha Bedingfield is promoting a new album, and today on 'The Early Show' (weekdays, 7AM on CBS), she was asked about her impressions of the young couple, having once performed for them in 2007. At the time, the couple was apparently having relationship problems, but Bedingfield said she could still see the connection.

Bedingfield said she understood why people were captivated by the couple, saying they had a bit of magic. The couple was supposedly broken up at that time, she noted, "but what people didn't see was they actually -- I think they were together at that time. I met her and I could see that there was still a spark between them and how beautiful she was."

That spark will be officially extinguished Friday when the couple gets married at Westminster Abbey, creating a void that will affect thousands of reporters and entertainment anchors forced to ponder what to do with their time.

David Frost: Diana Would Have Made Jokes About Royal Wedding (VIDEO)

by Jeremy Taylor, posted Apr 27th 2011 12:05PM
Legendary TV personality Sir David Frost was close enough with Princess Diana to have her be his son's godmother. So during his appearance on 'Piers Morgan Tonight' (weekdays, 9 PM ET on CNN) he was asked what his good friend would have thought about her son's marriage to Kate Middleton.

"I think that she would be thrilled with the choice he's made . . . And I think she would inevitably in the circumstances also -- besides being thrilled -- be filled with the most marvelously irreverent jokes, cause she always was."

Sadly, Frost didn't reveal what any of these jokes would have been.
