Keira Knightley Vies for Title of Worst Bridesmaid Ever on 'Late Night' (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted May 11th 2011 6:25AM
There's a reason Keira Knightley wasn't a bridesmaid at the nuptials of William & Kate. Actually, that they don't know her is probably a major one, but if the royal couple knew anything about her past experience as a bridesmaid, they would have steered clear for sure. She shared the story with 'Late Night' (Weeknights, 12:37AM on NBC).It's an astonishing tale of absolutely everything going wrong on a scale where you simply have to assume that Knightley was the victim of some kind of curse. Perhaps she splashed mud on the wrong person on the way to her brother's wedding.

People's Choice Awards winners
by Brett Love, posted Jan 10th 2007 10:33AM
CBS put their regular programming on hold last night so they could show the 33rd Annual People's Choice Awards. Hosted by Queen Latifah, the show gives awards based on public internet voting. As that is the case, these awards track with the Nielsen ratings more than most. Case in point, the award for Television Comedy went to Two And A Half Men. Top rated for a couple years now, but it can't seem to get any press unless Charlie Sheen is divorcing someone or hiring a hooker. Most of the other television awards followed similar lines. The award for Best Drama went to Grey's Anatomy. Best Actor was Patrick Dempsey (Grey's Anatomy). Best Actress went to Eva Longoria (Desperate Housewives). Best Competition/Reality show was, of course, American Idol. Best Animated Show was The Simpsons. The only real surprise came in the new categories. Best New Drama was Heroes, which isn't a surprise, but Best New Comedy, The Class? I didn't see that one coming. The television awards were rounded out with Ellen Degeneres winning Best Talk Show Host.
Movies and Music winners after the jump.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest coming to USA
by Anna Johns, posted Jul 15th 2006 1:35PM
In case you're one of the few Americans who didn't see Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest last weekend, you can always wait until 2008 to see it for free. That's when USA Network has the rights to air it on television. The network also has the first cable rights to the far superior first movie, Curse of the Black Pearl, which airs tonight.I saw Pirates last weekend and it was so long and boring that I can't even imagine watching the damn thing with commercial breaks. By the way, you should check out Ask a Ninja's review of the movie on YouTube. Hilarious and dead-on.
Eva Longoria on top of Maxim's Hot 100 again
by Anna Johns, posted May 15th 2006 6:22PM
Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria claims she's shocked that she was once again named No. 1 on Maxim magazine's seventh annual "Hot 100" list. Well, me too. I kinda thought Eva Longoria's flame went out this season (along with the buzz around DH). Maxim says the list is of women who have "a tremendous amount of buzz surrounding them, undeniable beauty and a promise of greater things to come."Also on the list: Jessica Alba, Angelina Jolie, Stacy Keibler, Scarlett Johansson, Cameron Diaz, Kate Bosworth, Keira Knightley, and Christina Milian. Fellow Desperate Housewives Nicolette Sheridan and Teri Hatcher are also on the list: at numbers 48 and 73.
