Kelly Bensimon, Alex McCord, Jill ZarinIt's been a drama-filled year off-screen for the various branches of the 'Real Housewives' franchise and now the focus has shifted to the New York cast.

Yesterday we heard of a casting bloodbath, with 'Housewives' Jill Zarin, Kelly Bensimon, Alex McCord and Cindy Barshop all being pink-slipped.

Now Zarin and McCord have come forward to deny that they've been axed.

McCord told 'The Hollywood Reporter' that "At this stage, I have not been fired. My casting is still in limbo and I expect to hear within the next week."

Kelly Bensimon Is Not Ready To Leave 'Real Housewives of New York City' (VIDEO)

Kelly Bensimon of 'Real Housewives of New York City' on 'Good Day New York'Kelly Bensimon sounds like she wants to continue with 'Real Housewives of New York City,' despite any rumors to the contrary. When the good folks at 'Good Day New York' (weekdays, 9AM ET on Fox) posited that she seemed ready to leave the arguing and fighting behind and become her own breakout star, Bensimon said she's finally enjoying herself.

"No, I actually had a really good time with it this year," she said. "I mean, this was my opportunity to really, really show who I am and not be in a combative situation. It was two seasons of just constantly being berated all the time."

She may have more friends on the show if she signs up for another season. She said she had been suggesting people to the producers, and that it has gotten a little out of hand. "Every cocktail party that I go to people are like, 'I'm on the show,'" she said. "'I'm going to be on the show with you.'" More people to be crazy with.

'The Real Housewives of New York City' Return for Season 3

Real Housewives of New York City"Ramona's way too freaking old to be wearing a bikini," declares Jill Zarin, rolling her eyes. (Truer words have never been uttered.) And so begins season three of 'The Real Housewives of New York City.'

The relatively uneventful (you might even say disappointing) premiere opened on a yacht Ramona had borrowed from a friend for a day of "girls only" fun. In true 'Housewives' fashion, the event quickly evolved into an emotional roller coaster as Ramona, who, after likening her newly shorn self to a "younger Cameron Diaz," laughed, cried, yelled and pouted while the boat putted along some Hamptons' waterway.

Noticeably absent was Bethenny, who, after a major falling out with Jill over what seems to be nothing more than a misunderstanding, was busy posing naked on a Manhattan rooftop for an "I'd rather go naked than wear fur" PETA ad. "I was BFFs with Bethenny" fumed Jill "but she didn't deserve me as a friend."

The last time we saw Bethenny Frankel, LuAnn de Lesseps, Ramona Singer and Jill Zarin of 'The Real Housewives of New York City' at the show's second season reunion, they confessed they would kick off cast mate Kelly Bensimon if given the chance.

They didn't get their wish.

Inside TV recently bumped into Kelly and her two daughters backstage at the Z100 Jingle Ball concert in Madison Square Garden. Bensimon revealed to us that she was there filming scenes for the show's third season finale.
