Will Arnett Has Better Taste Than His 'Running Wilde' Co-Star Keri Russell (VIDEO)
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 27th 2010 3:39PM
What better way to determine who the real star of a show is than a blind taste test contest. We don't know for sure that's why Will Arnett and Keri Russell were participating in one on 'Rachael Ray' (Weekdays, syndicate), but it's a good enough reason as any. That and the fact that host Ray is known for her cooking.Ironically, she was emphatic about the food they were tasting. "I did not make [it]!" she declared. But that's only because Russell could barely keep it down, while Arnett struggled visibly as well. It took a clue from Ray before a winner could be declared.
"Think pasta," she prodded, to ensure this segment didn't take up the rest of her show.
'Running Wilde' Premiere Review: Will Power Can't Save This Comedy
by Maureen Ryan, posted Sep 21st 2010 10:55AM
'Running Wilde' (9:30PM ET Tuesday, Fox) may have been the most anticipated comedy of the new season, at least among TV nerds. The show's co-creator, Mitchell Hurwitz, created one of the most beloved comedies of all time, the absurd and wonderful 'Arrested Development.' 'Running Wilde' reunites him with former 'AD' actors Will Arnett and David Cross, so what could possibly go wrong?
A lot, it turns out.
Arnett and Hurwitz Are Determined to Improve 'Running Wilde' - TCA Report
by Joel Keller, posted Aug 2nd 2010 6:02PM

Maybe Mitch Hurwitz is cashing in on the goodwill he gained from the critics during the run of 'Arrested Development.' Or maybe he's just not a BSer. It doesn't really matter; what matters is that both Hurwitz and Will Arnett were honest with the gathered critics about what they felt was wrong with the pilot for their new FOX show 'Running Wilde,' and what they're trying to do to fix it.
The honesty parade started last night, as Arnett and co-star Keri Russell attended a network pre-registration event for the critics. Arnett told me that with the original pilot, "we had a very limited shooting schedule and a very limited post-production schedule. We had very little time to do what we wanted to do."
Now that the show's been picked up, though, they've had time to fix some things.
Spring TV: Which Pilots Will Crash and Burn?
by Stephanie Earp, posted Mar 23rd 2010 5:32PM

There are two groups of people who get really excited about pilot season: L.A. actors hoping for a break and television writers. Being a member of the latter category, I admit to a tingly feeling creeping over me as word of the shows in development at all the big networks are starting to leak out. While most people are attributing feelings of renewal to the change in the weather, I'm happily anticipating what J.J. Abrams has in store for us this fall.
Keri Russell Signs on For New FOX Sitcom
by Bob Sassone, posted Mar 10th 2010 3:09PM
'Arrested Development' fans are anxiously awaiting the release - actually, the filming - of the big screen 'AD' movie, but until then we might have a little bit of the show to enjoy. Creator Mitchell Hurwitz and star Will Arnett are doing a new sitcom pilot called 'Wilde Kingdom' and they've just added someone else to the cast.Keri Russell has signed on to the show to play Arnett's love interest, according to Michael Ausiello at Entertainment Weekly. Arnett will play a rich, selfish guy who falls in love with Russell's down-to-Earth character. James Vallely, one of the writers of 'Arrested Development,' is writing this show too.
We've talked about a lot of pilots and pilot casting recently and most of them we'll never hear about again (most pilots don't even make it to the air). But this is one show I can actually picture on the FOX schedule.
Keri Russell in Talks for a Return to Primetime
by Kim Potts, posted Mar 10th 2010 10:00AM
It's only the best thing that could happen to a 'Felicity' fan, next to that reunion we've been dreaming of since 2002: Keri Russell is in talks to make a full-time return to primetime in the Fox comedy pilot 'Wilde Kingdom.'Adding to the fun: The series would pair Russell with 'Arrested Development' funnyman Will Arnett, who plays Steve Wilde, a wealthy Beverly Hills jerk who falls for a kind-hearted, environmentally-minded woman (Russell). She, of course, thinks he's a giant tool and wants nothing to do with him or his playboy ways.
Wonder Woman to appear at the NYCC
by Brad Trechak, posted Dec 10th 2008 10:02AM
It's nice to know that creators who started in TV can still find new markets to conquer. The upcoming, animated Wonder Woman movie will be screened on the Friday night of the New York Comic Con. Animator Bruce Timm (Batman: The Animated Series among others) will be a guest of honor at the Con and will appear on a panel following the screening. Actors lending their voices to the movie include Keri Russell (from Felicity) and Nathan Fillion (from Firefly). Hopefully, they will be appearing on the panel as well (the announcement is somewhat vague about who will be there other than Timm).
Desperate Housewife gets trimmed ... her hair, that is
by Allison Waldman, posted Jul 16th 2008 12:26PM
Haircuts on TV shows are often a very big deal. Remember when Keri Russell had the audacity to cut her long, curl mane on Felicity? Some fans never forgave her or the character! Well, be prepared for another cut to your psyche, Desperate Housewives' devotees. Eva Longoria Parker has cut her hair for the upcoming sixth season of the show. Unlike Keri, however, Eva's cut was done with the blessing of the producers.
As you can see, it's a very cute 'doo; not too blunt or pixie-ish. It's quite stylish and flattering. The idea is that with the five-year time jump that we saw in the finale last season, Gaby doesn't have the time or inclination to care for her long, flowing locks. (If you've ever had long, full hair like hers, you know what I'm talking about!)
TV stars to be in the new Wonder Woman movie
by Brad Trechak, posted Jun 26th 2008 8:00AM
It's an animated movie to be put out by DC Comics in the direct-to-DVD market, but it's a movie nonetheless. The lead voices are Keri Russell (formerly of TV's Felicity) who plays the Amazon princess and Nathan Fillion (of Firefly fame) who voices Steve Trevor. Other actors providing voices include Virginia Madsen, Rosario Dawson and Alfred Molina.Going with our Retro Squad theme of the week, a lot of Whedon alumni seem to be lending their voices to DC Comics animation. I've been re-watching the two seasons of Justice League Unlimited and voices for that have included half the Firefly line-up: Morena Baccarin, Gina Torres, Adam Baldwin and Nathan Fillion. Also involved were Amy Acker, Alexis Denisof and Juliet Landau from Buffy and Angel. Furthermore, Adam Baldwin and James Marsters were on the Superman: Doomsday DVD and David Boreanaz was involved with the Justice League: New Frontier DVD.
Of course, Whedon himself was involved in the oft-delayed Wonder Woman live-action film. Perhaps there's a big Joss Whedon/DC Comics conspiracy that I don't know about?
Kevin James has a hot wife in real life
by Annie Wu, posted Jun 19th 2007 1:07PM
Some quick baby news! Kevin James and his wife Steffiana just had their second child Shea Joelle James. Thank goodness she doesn't have a crazy celebrity baby name (I'm looking at you, Pilot Inspektor). Actually, the news here is not about the baby, but about Steffiana. Look at her! She's hot! Possibly hotter than Leah Remini, Kevin's onscreen lady on the King of Queens. Doesn't this give a little bit of hope to all you fellows out there that don't quite have leading man looks? The lesson here is... You too can get the girl, as long as you have a great sense of humor. And long-running sitcom.Oh, and Keri Russell just had a baby boy, but she doesn't have a smokin' hot wife.
Keri Russell is new Cover Girl spokesmodel
by Anna Johns, posted Jul 11th 2006 1:48PM
Keri Russell is the new face of Cover Girl. She'll begin appearing in new television advertisements for Cover Girl's Outlast Double Lipshine later this month and she'll make her magazine debut in August. The television ad is a bit unusual for Cover Girl; Keri fights ninjas and looks gorgeous doing it. Apparently since her appearance in Mission Impossible: III, the former Felicity star is now an action hero!Out of the Blogosphere

New M:I-3 trailer to premiere simultaneously on MTV nets
by Anna Johns, posted Mar 15th 2006 10:11AM
Before it even hits the
theaters, Paramount Pictures will premiere the new trailer for Mission: Impossible-3 on all of the MTV networks.
Some time during the 10-11 pm hour this Thursday night (March 16), Tom Cruise will introduce the new movie trailer. It
will play simultaneously on MTV, MTV2, VH1, CMT, BET, and Spike.Mission: Impossible-3, by the way, was directed by Lost and Alias creator, J.J. Abrams. That, and Phillip Seymour Hoffman as the bad guy, will be my official excuse for plunking down nine bucks when the movie hits theaters this May. It also co-stars former Felicity star, Keri Russell.
