Kids in the Hall: Death Comes to Town - Tuesday March 16, 9 pm, CBC
True story: When I was in high school, I was lucky enough to be invited on a date by the new guy at school. His dad worked with CBC and our date was to be a live taping of the original 'Kids in the Hall' sketch show. My date treated me to a large soda before the show and once seated, we discovered we were not allowed to get up again until taping concluded. Long story short: I peed my pants I laughed so hard. Needless to say, I didn't get a second date. Having the Kids back on TV has been a blast, and hopefully this final episode of 'Death Comes to Town' isn't the last time we'll see them reunited.
The Kids in the Hall Bring Death to CBC
by Annette Bourdeau, posted Nov 26th 2009 2:07AM

Canada's favourite cross-dressers are back for a new eight-part mini-series set to air on the CBC this winter. 'Kids in the Hall: Death Comes to Town' is a comic murder mystery based in the fictional small town of Shuckton, Ontario. All five Kids – Scott Thompson, Dave Foley, Kevin McDonald, Mark McKinney and Bruce McCulloch – play multiple characters, including, yes, the ladyfolk. McCulloch came up with the concept and took on the role of lead producer.
We caught up with Scott, Dave and almost Kevin (who dashed off for a bathroom break before the interview and never returned) and had a very random conversation about everything from the new mini-series to Kevin's toes to Agatha Christie.
Sketch Comedy Saturday: The Kids In The Hall
by Annie Wu, posted Jul 4th 2009 6:02PM

As a special Sketch Comedy Saturday treat, I will forgo the lengthy, typed-out, text version of me humming the Kids In The Hall theme song and get right down to business. This is one of those shows that are now considered classic sketch comedy (and Canadian comedy), so I feel silly for even having to profile them, but I am constantly surprised by the number of people whose eyes glaze over when I ask them if they've ever heard of the Kids. So ... Have you heard of the Kids?
Eight of TV's weirdest dreams - VIDEOS
by Danny Gallagher, posted Feb 19th 2009 11:04AM
There is no better way to get inside a character's head (without resorting to charging up some power cutting tools and laying down some newspaper) than writing in a dream sequence. Some of them, however, try to explain too much or cover too much ground and end up becoming the kind of dreams that keeps our Paxil dosage high and GlaxoSmithKline's stock price higher.
These are those mindfreaks.
Kids in the Hall working on new miniseries - VIDEO
by Mike Moody, posted Dec 4th 2008 11:31AM

The news that The Kids in the Hall are working on a new Canadian TV miniseries should make comedy nerds everywhere happy. I know I'm excited, even though it might be a while until it airs in the U.S. (I'm kicking myself for not moving to Canada like I said I would after the 2004 presidential election.)
Mr. Dave Foley told the Canadian Press that all the original Kids (Foley, Bruce McCullough, Mark McKinney, Scott Thompson and Kevin McDonald) are writing an eight-ep miniseries for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, the home of their original sketch comedy show. It sounds like their recent reunion tour went pretty well. The five-member troupe will star in the series, which Foley says won't be a sketch comedy, but will involve a number of comic characters.

Here!'s Buddy Cole cartoon
by Annie Wu, posted Jan 14th 2006 8:05PM
Conservative groups like the American Family Association have been having a fit
over the alleged "homosexual agenda" of The Book of Daniel. Well here's
another show for them to worry about, but this time, there's definitely no need for "alleged". Here!, the gay
lifestyle network, has
announced that they plan on creating a cartoon based on the Kids in the Hall character, Buddy Cole. In the
show, Buddy, the owner of a gay bar, suddenly becomes a parent when his orphaned niece shows up one day. He also comes
under the scrutiny of a conservative city councilman. Animated hilarity is expected to ensue.Buddy brought the funny as a few-minutes-long sketch on Kids in the Hall, but will he be enough to create an entire series? Well, I guess he's more material to work with than that "I'm crushing your head!" guy (who I still, to this day, imitate at random intervals).
Create your own Kids in the Hall tribute
by Chris Thilk, posted Aug 11th 2005 8:50AM
Producers for the upcoming DVD release of the third season of Kids in the Hall are looking for fan tributes. Fans are being asked to go to the Kids official website and submit self-made videos or other materials for display on the site in what is being called an "online scrapbook." So before you go over and drop in your homemade Chicken Lady video I was wondering what everyone's favorite Kids in the Hall moment was? Some of the ones that stick out for me are the one where Dave Foley gets hooked on "girly" drinks, any of Bruce McCullough's monologue pieces and the one where Cabbage Head dies and sees God shares his unique physical characteristic.
