Matt Passmore Discusses the Complex Relationships of 'The Glades' (VIDEO)
Steve Edwards, anchor of 'Good Day LA' (weekdays, 9AM PT on Fox) is a big fan of 'The Glades.' In an interview on Wednesday, he told 'Glades' star Matt Passmore that he'd seen every episode of the show, and gushed about the characters and their relationships, especially the chemistry between Passmore's Jim Longworth and Kiele Sanchez's Callie Cargill.Passmore said 'Glades' creator and writer Clifton Campbell had written the relationship between Longworth and Cargill to be complex. "Most television, especially procedurals, work on just a simmering tension," he said. "Ours isn't so much about tension but about obstacles. So already it's, you know, guy meets girl, guy finds out that girl is married to a guy in prison, has a child, and all the complexities that come with that."
'Burn Notice' Prequel Movie Gets New Cast Members
Michael Westen and Fiona Glennane might not be a part of it, but Sam Axe is still going to have a whole lot of company -- and even a date or two -- in the 'Burn Notice' prequel movie. As production continues in Bogotá, Colombia a trio of new cast members have been announced. TVLine.com reports that 'Burn Notice' star Bruce Campbell, who plays Sam Axe, will be joined by Chandra West ('The Gates'), RonReaco Lee ('The Good Guys'), Kiele Sanchez ('The Glades') and John Diehl ('The Shield').
West will play Sam's new love interest, the "smart and sexy" Donna. Lee and Sanchez will play, respectively, a field medic and a humanitarian who run into trouble in Colombia. Diehl rounds out the cast as Rear Admiral Lawrence, a no-nonsense naval officer who will stop at nothing to get to the truth.
What If 'Lost' Actually Had a Theme Song (the One From 'Baywatch')?
There was no smoke monster or time travel on 'Baywatch' though. Maybe that was 'Baywatch Nights.' [via Warming Glow]
Kiele Sanchez, Carlos Gomez Join A&E's 'Sugarloaf'
'Lost' fans wondering if they would be seeing more of Kiele Sanchez are in for a treat, as the actress will be returning to television as someone other than Nikki Fernandez.According to the Hollywood Reporter, Sanchez has been tapped to co-star in 'Sugarloaf,' an upcoming pilot for A&E. The actress, who was most recently seen this summer in the big-screen thriller 'A Perfect Getaway', is best known for her role as Fernandez, who quickly became the target of fan ire during season three of 'Lost,' leading producers to abruptly kill off the character (you gotta please the viewers somehow).
Hey, it's a Studio 60 reunion (kinda)!
We told you a while back about Matthew Perry's new Showtime series, The End of Steve. He'll play an arrogant local talk show host who is going thorugh some changes in his life. Now some other cast members for the series have been announced.Nate Torrence, who costarred with Perry on the short-lived Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (he played Dylan), has joined the cast and will play Perry's assistant. Other people signed on for the show include Martha Plimpton (she'll play Perry's producer), Eddie Shin (he'll play Perry's boss), and Kiele Sanchez, who Lost fans will remember as the much-loved character of Nikki, who is currently still buried on the beach somewhere. She also starred in one of my favorite sitcoms of the past ten years, ABC's Married to the Kellys.
Oh, besides Studio 60, Perry also starred in a show called Friends that lasted a few years or so.
Short-Lived Shows: Married to the Kellys - VIDEOS
This is one of my favorite comedies of the past ten years, and I no idea that it actually starred not one but two cast members from Lost. More on that after the jump.
Married to the Kellys was a sitcom that ran on Friday nights on ABC during the 2003-04 season, part of their TGIF comedy lineup. But I think this show stood out as something for adults more than kids. It starred Breckin Meyer as a New York City writer who publishes his first novel and decides to keep his promise to his wife and move (he thought she meant move from the Village to the Upper West Side, not "America"). Now, this is where the usual big city guy vs. Kansas jokes come into play, but that's just half of the show.
Samantha Who?: The Birthday (season finale)

(S01E15) "It's my birthday?" - Sam
Even if it wasn't an earth-shattering or intense episode, Samantha Who?'s season finale was satisfying. The episode wrapped up the Chloe/Todd relationship, clarified where Sam and Todd stand, and gave Sam another clean slate (she got the first one after when she woke up from the coma with amnesia). It also marked the first time that all series regulars shared a scene together.

Samantha Who?: The Gallery Show

(S01E13) "I can get a guy by tomorrow." - Samantha
This line may not have been the funniest one of the episode but it had major implications for both Sam and Todd. What if she hadn't been able to find a date for the gallery show? What if she found a guy who turned out to be prince charming and not a mugger? Those two possibilities could have totally changed the ending of the episode, meaning that Todd could still be thinking of Chloe instead of Sam. Luckily for us, Sam found Jerry O'Connell, who was trying to get in his car using a hanger since his Carpoolers friends left him on the curb, and he turned out to not be the guy for our Sam.

Samantha Who?: The Girlfriend
(S01E10) "I love you." - Todd to ChloeFirst, I must thank ABC for the fun Samantha Who? marketing campaign they did these past two weeks or so. I know that the fun ads during which Samantha and her mother talked about a song that meant a lot to Regina, or during which Samantha presented her boyfriend, er, ex-boyfriend, Todd, had an effect on some non-watchers (a few of my friends asked me what the show was about and planned on watching the show this week). Let's hope more join the fun.
Secondly, our favorite amnesiac is back on TV! Yay! This cutesy series is definitely one I enjoy watching a lot thanks to Samantha's duality (evil-Sam versus good-Sam), very well played by Christina Applegate, and thanks to Jean Smart and the devilish Andrea, played by Jennifer Esposito.
That said, let's get to the important part of this post: the review.

Lost season three letdowns
Season Three of Lost had some of the best episodes in the show's history, but no season is perfect. From bad flashbacks to bizarre death fake-outs, this season had its shortcomings. No one can nitpick like a Lost fan, so let's get started! Feel free to share your Season Three criticisms as well.So Long, Eko: After Season Two ended, I thought that the writers would take a break from the Tailie-killing. Eko was one of my favorite new characters, and I had hoped that he would stick around a bit longer. What really bugged me about Eko's death was that fact that he survived the hatch implosion only to get killed by the Monster five episodes into Season Three. I know that Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje wanted out of the show, but his death seemed so random.
Kiele Sanchez on Jimmy Kimmel Live - VIDEO
Lost's Kiele Sanchez appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live last week to discuss the recent Nikki and Paulo episode. If you haven't seen "Exposé" yet, stop reading now. The actress responded to Kimmel's theory about Nikki's fate, talked about her acting career, and told a colorful story about breastfeeding.
Sanchez and Kimmel also discussed Lost co-star Rodrigo Santoro. Apparently "The Brazilian Tom Cruise" was very vocal about his role in the movie 300. In addition, the actress mentioned that her claustrophobia became an issue during the filming of a chilling scene from last week's episode. Video of the interview is available after the jump.
"Left Behind," the newest episode of Lost, airs this Wednesday at 10pm ET on ABC.
Lost death pool update: week eight
Well, well, well. "Exposé" was a busy episode for the grim reaper. As usual, I will leave the details for after the jump, so stop reading if you have not seen the newest episode. Many players have shot ahead in the pool, and a few of you have used up all of your picks already. Impressive.
I should mention that there have been rumors that a character who was presumed dead may show up alive in a later episode. For any death pool standings to change, this "resurrection" will have to occur onscreen during Season Three. The character will have to be seen alive, in real time.
Now let's get to the updated standings!
Lost: Exposé

(S03E14) Well, "The Man From Tallahassee" was a tough act to follow, and it is probably unfair to compare the two episodes. This episode had its moments--shirtless Sawyer, double-crosses, and guest star Billy Dee Williams. Nikki and Paulo's story needed to be told, and I think that the writers accomplished what they set out to do. I might have to watch "Exposé" again before I can make a complete assessment.
An awesome new Lost theory emerges
DocArzt over at The Tailsection has come up with a very intriguing theory about the upcoming Lost episode "Exposé." The theory covers Paulo and Nikki's pre-island past, their relationships with the island's inhabitants, and some dark events that may be in their future. DocArzt's theory is based on more than a few spoilers, rumors, and screencaps, so anti-spoiler types should stop reading ASAP.
I thought that it would be fun to go over the main points in DocArzt's theory and open things up for discussion in the comments section. If even some parts of the theory turn out to be true, this week's episode will be seriously cool. In the newest Lost podcast, Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse mentioned that they are curious to hear fan's reactions to "Exposé," and that opinions may be split on the episode.
Kiele Sanchez: In the Limelight
Since her first appearance on Lost as plane crash survivor Nikki, fans of the show have not been embracing the actress. Part of it may be because her character, as well as Rodrigo Santoro's Paulo, sort of appeared out of nowhere (even though Nikki was supposedly in the background since season 1). Part of it may also be because the writing for her character has not been stellar. Part of it is surely also because fans do not know who Kiele Sanchez is.Now that Nikki (and Kiele) is about to be put front and center in episode "Exposé" airing on March 28 at 10 p.m. on ABC, it's time fans get to know who Kiele Sanchez is.
