That's when guest-host Jerry Seinfeld cut in, and pointed out some similarities between 'Seinfeld' and 'Sex and the City.' "I always felt like there was a certain similarity ... and I mean this in a good way ... Sarah Jessica and I were kind of like the hub of the wheel, and then you had these other eccentric characters, and you were kind of the the Kramer of the show."
Rumors have been swirling all summer, but according to 'Entertainment Weekly' it's a go.
Execs over at The CW are reportedly hammering out the final details on a deal to produce a new series based on 'The Carrie Diaries,' Candace Bushnell's young adult novels about the adventures of the pre-New York Carrie Bradshaw.
The new series will be produced by 'Gossip Girl' executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, who will exec produce along with former 'Sex and the City' writer/co-producer Amy B. Harris, Bushnell and Len Goldstein. Harris will also write the adaptation.
With the assistance of professionals on 'Who Do You Think You Are?' (Fri., 8PM ET on NBC), Cattrall receives a copy of a marriage certificate in the mail. It's his -- and dated 1939. "Son of a b---h," says Cattrall. "I knew he was gutsy, but this is just... Now he's a criminal."
The certificate proves that not only did he remarry within a year of leaving his family, he flagrantly violated the laws against bigamy. "[He] didn't change his name or his profession -- incredibly cocksure of himself that he wouldn't be found out," notes Cattrall. "[We] found out now." And the 'Sex and the City' actress goes on to discover he had four more children with his second wife.
NBC's 'Who Do You Think You Are?' returns for Season 2 next month with a new crop of celebrities trying to unearth their family histories.
According to the Associated Press, NBC said Tuesday that the group includes Tim McGraw, Steve Buscemi, Ashley Judd, Vanessa Williams, Rosie O'Donnell and Kim Cattrall.
The show, which is based on the hit British show of the same name, is billed as "an up-close and personal look inside the family history of some of today's most beloved and iconic celebrities." Cameras follow the celebrities as they explore their family trees with the help of historians and genealogists.
Actress Lisa Kudrow is an executive producer and researched her own ancestry for the show last season. She said celebrities who take part are eager to find answers about their family history: "It's not just like you show up for a couple hours and you're done. ... It's kind of a commitment. So the people who want to do it are genuinely interested in finding answers to their questions."
Jim and Pam on 'The Office' are just the latest fictional couple to welcome a baby into their wacky fold in tonight's special one-hour episode (9PM ET, NBC). To commemorate the occasion, we're taking a walk around the virtual nursery, looking back at some of TV's most anticipated -- for both good and bad reasons -- babies.

Today, it's time to open your first Christmas gift as the first Sex and the City 2 trailer has been released!
Trailer and a few slight spoilers coming up!
(S21E08) The last episode of 2009 also has the distinction of being the 449th episode of The Simpsons. The series will come back Sunday, January 10th for a 450th episode extravaganza, including a one-hour 20th anniversary special. It's certainly a big year for Tracey Ullman's one-time back-up series.
The beginning of the episode had an almost frantic pace, as it set up about four or five different possible plotlines, before finally settling on Bart's jealousy of Lisa and Maggie's relationship. His attempts to help his parents create a little brother for him were a little disturbing, but that was more than made up for by a fantasy sequence featuring many famous brothers.
Production is underway for the movie, set to be released at the end of May 2010, which means spoilers are leaking on the web! As expected, all four main ladies are back. But what is in store for them? Who, besides the ladies, will star in the movie?
Spoilers coming up!
Debra wasn't thrilled with more Sex features, but I have faith in Michael Patrick King. However, there is another issue; while all the ladies are inked for the Sex and the City sequel, Chris Noth is not, which may -- or may not -- be a "big" deal.
I discovered that as brilliant as she is a performer, Sharon Gless is also a class act with the media. She talked about another Cagney & Lacey, Tyne Daly, acting, playing villains, Kim Cattrall and much more. Read on and you'll see -- as I did -- why you'd gush to if you were face-to-face with Sharon Gless.
Allison Waldman: When Sex & the City ended, you didn't want to do the movie. Now it's done and it's a huge success.
Kim Cattrall: It's extraordinary. I look back four years ago when this was a runaway idea, I just did not feel ready to do it. We had reached such a high point, I wasn't sure I had anything else to say. I also had incredible personal challenges. My marriage was coming apart, also, my dad was diagnosed with dementia. I really needed a time out.
AW: How did the movie come back around?
KC: Michael Patrick King called and said, 'I'm writing something and I think you're going to love it. ...I think you were right to say no when you did because of whatever reasons you had.' See, I had never been public about my reasons I felt that it was nobody's business.
