'Launch My Line' Season 1 Episode 2 - 'Fashion Forward' (VIDEO)
by Elizabeth Chan, posted Dec 10th 2009 4:08PM
Bravo's 'Launch My Line' patched a programming hole where 'Project Runway' should be, but as we watch the second episode, it's clear that this isn't 'Runway' style. Tensions are starting to form between the "designers" and their "experts." If we could offer one bit of advice to the teams it would be, "Hey, don't make someone that angry while they are holding scissors!" The designers are sent to Venice Beach to find inspiration for their "Daytime at the Beach" challenge, where they meet a fashion trends analyst who gives them a sunny color palate for the new season. Unlike their 'Runway' brethren, the contestants have only a limited amount of fabric to work from; and this is a challenge for David, who has chosen all black fabrics with denim for his collection.
The battle of the alphas continues as tensions between both Marilyn and Coco and Patrick and Roberto start to shred at both teams. DJ Eric and Galina catch the attention of the other teams because it's obvious that Galina is doing all the work from her well-known pre-existing collection.
