Lauren Graham Says She'd Be a Terrible Stripper (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 14th 2011 6:33AM
Lauren Graham, 'The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson'Lauren Graham learned the fine art of storytelling on 'The Late Late Show' (Weeknights, 12:37AM ET on CBS), and she certainly proved she was a master at the tease.

When asked if she'd been to a strip club, she replied, "Yes. A long time ago. The end." Now doesn't that just beg for more details?

But when pressed for them, she simply made some up, though it didn't seem to bother Craig Ferguson one bit. This lead to Graham realizing she would be a terrible stripper, as she lacks the "weird guts" they must have.

Lauren Graham Doesn't Want to Freak America Out, But She's Dating Her TV Brother (VIDEO)

by Nick Zaino, posted Sep 9th 2011 2:00PM
Lauren Graham and her boyfriend/brother Peter Krause on 'Today'Lauren Graham had a great summer vacation in Venice in between seasons of 'Parenthood,' but she'd rather not say too much about it. It's not that she's too private a person, it's just that her boyfriend is Peter Krause, who plays Adam Braverman, her TV brother, on 'Parenthood.' She thought that might be too much for the Friday morning audience on 'Today' (weekdays, 7AM on NBC).

"I went with my boyfriend, I just don't like to talk about it because I don't want to freak people out," said Graham. It was pointed out to her that Krause is her brother. "Oh my god! Wait! What? Look, it's America. My boyfriend is my brother. You can do anything you want."

Mary J. Blige Casts Deciding Vote in a Shopping Argument on 'The Marriage Ref' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Jul 25th 2011 3:21AM
Mary J. Blige, 'The Marriage Ref'It was a little unfair for Michael when he and his wife, Dora, were participants on 'The Marriage Ref' (Sun., 10PM ET on NBC). Their problem boiled down to a classic difference between the sexes, which mean the panel was more than likely going to vote down gender lines.

With Lauren Graham, Colin Quinn and Mary J. Blige sitting on the stage, Michael was outnumbered, and he knew it.

The issue was one of shopping. Michael hated it and didn't want to do it, but Dora wanted him to come with her and be supportive of how she liked to shop. Quinn backed Michael, though he took it further than even Michael probably was intending.

Lauren Graham Knows George Lopez from Sexual Harassment Class? (VIDEO)

Lauren Graham Talks 'George Lopez' Lessons on 'Lopez Tonight'Lauren Graham feels as though she already knows George Lopez. First off, she kissed his ear when she joined him on the stage of 'Lopez Tonight' (weeknights, 12AM ET on TBS). That's bound to create some intimacy.

Then there was the sexual harassment seminar employees took every year that utilized scenes from various television shows, 'George Lopez' included.

"One of them was a clip from 'Friends' in an episode where Matt Perry's character's getting like patted on the butt by his boss," explained Graham. "The other one was a clip from your show where someone feels they're being profiled racially. And you taught me so much, George Lopez."

He joked, "Well, we might have another one for next year where a guest kissed another dude in the ear."

Punching a Stranger in the Face on 'Parenthood' (VIDEO)

by Oliver Miller, posted Nov 10th 2010 10:25AM
Punching a Stranger in the Face on 'Parenthood''Parenthood' (Tue., 10PM ET on NBC) deals with family drama and generational conflict. Through all the dysfunction, one man is the rock-steady leader of the Braverman clan. That man is Adam Braverman -- father, husband, employee. But what happens when this "rock" finds himself in a very hard place?

[Warning: Spoiler alert.]

Adam (Peter Krause) is facing trouble at home and at work. He has a boss who doesn't respect him, a kid suffering from a developmental disorder, and an occasionally overbearing wife. Adam's eight-year-old son Max (Max Burkholder) has Asperger's syndrome -- a form of autism which makes it hard for him to interact socially.

When Adam and his dad (Craig T. Nelson) go to the supermarket, Max sees a stranger put seventeen items in the "10 Items or Less" checkout lane. Max starts patiently removing the seven extra items, one by one -- and over and over again. The annoyed stranger yells, complains, then snaps and calls Max a "retard." Which is when Adam also snaps -- and decides he's not gonna be a nice guy anymore.

'Parenthood': Love and HalloweenDressing up on Halloween can make you feel like a different person. If you pretend to be a vampire, or a cowboy, or a sexy nurse, then you take on that role for the night. On 'Parenthood' (Tue., 10PM ET on NBC), a couple plays dress-up for the evening. But then it leads to something real.

[Warning: Spoiler alert.]

After their son goes to bed, Crosby (Dax Shepard) and Jasmine (Joy Bryant) sneak downstairs to chomp on their kid's Halloween candy. They're still wearing their costumes: Crosby is daring stuntman Evel Knievel; Jasmine is Indian maiden Pocahontas.

The pair seems content, like they've recovered from their past history. Jasmine had a son with Crosby, but she kept this a secret for five years. She felt that Crosby was irresponsible and not ready for fatherhood. But now, the couple are back together again.

Peter Krause and Lauren Graham Go From TV Siblings to Real-Life Couple

by Kelly Woo, posted Sep 9th 2010 2:30PM
Lauren Graham and Peter Krause'Parenthood' stars Peter Krause and Lauren Graham have officially come out as a couple. According to People, the actress confirmed the rumors to Redbook magazine. The couple play siblings Adam and Sarah Braverman.

"Nobody knew about it for awhile, because we like to be at home, cooking and not going out," Graham told Redbook in its upcoming Sept. 21 issue. "I've also been really protective of it, because it's important that you can buy us as brother and sister on the show."

This makes Krause and Graham the latest in a line of faux incestuous TV couples -- actors who play relatives on-screen while engaging in a romantic relationship off-screen. Married 'Dexter' stars Michael C. Hall (Krause's 'Six Feet Under' castmate) and Jennifer Carpenter portray (adoptive) siblings Dexter and Debra Morgan.

'Parenthood' - 'Perchance to Dream' Recap

Parenthood: Perchance to Dream(S01E09) "Get it off me! Get it off!" - Adam, after discovering that the Victoria's Secret bra is his daughter's and not his wife's

Well, I'm totally with Adam on this one. Sure, Haddie could wear the bra -- there's no crime in a girl wanting to feel pretty -- but I wouldn't let her leave the house with her shirt hanging off her shoulder and her bra strap showing. It's not a double standard! Drew didn't have half his underwear showing!

Besides that, Haddie and her boyfriend were making out on his bed (without her bra on, since she took it off in anger before leaving the house!). And, hello?!! Parents shouldn't let teens be alone in a bedroom with the door closed. Ok, I feel slightly better now.

Four Ways to Make 'Parenthood' Even Better

by Allison Waldman, posted Apr 22nd 2010 5:00PM
parenthood_cast_nbc
The news last week that NBC had renewed 'Parenthood' for a second season was not a big surprise. Yes, the show had a rocky start, considering that it was forced into a midseason premiere because producers had to recast actress Maura Tierney's role while she was battling breast cancer. But since then, it has been well-received and even bested its main competition Tuesdays at 10PM ET, 'The Good Wife,' a few times in the ratings. So there was every reason for NBC to give the Ron Howard/Brian Grazer production a second season. It earned it.

The show has actually been getting better. It's on its way to becoming a hit, and with just a few changes in the season to come, it could succeed. We've narrowed it down to four specifics, our suggestions for how 'Parenthood' could get even better than it is right now. Read our list and then weigh in with your thoughts.
