LeonardoDicaprio
Right Now On Cinematical
by Kona Gallagher, posted Feb 20th 2010 11:18AM
The folks at our sister site, Cinematical, are working hard to give you news and reviews of the best -- and worst -- the silver screen has to offer. Here are some of their musings on the latest blockbusters, indies, and everything in between:- 'Twilight' star, Kristen Stewart, is appearing in a new film called, 'The Yellow Handkerchief.' But that, of course, doesn't mean that she gets to avoid questions about her next project, 'Breaking Dawn,' which is the final installment in the 'Twilight' saga.
- A new Martin Scorsese film should be cause for excitement, right? So why do I feel so apathetic about 'Shutter Island?' Cinematical reviews the new Leonardo DiCaprio film, here.
- As a woman who Loved 'Live Free or Die Hard' because of the copious amount of crap that blew up, but also really kind of wants to see 'Valentine's Day,' I have no idea what women want when it comes to the movies. Cinematical tries to figure it out.
- My favorite Serious Slo-Mo Walk? It has to be when the crew walks together in 'Reservoir Dogs.' What's yours?
- I'm honestly kind of surprised that it's taken this long to get a Kurt Cobain biopic, but now that we have one in the works, who should play the title character?
Leonardo DiCaprio on Being a Better Actor (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Feb 19th 2010 1:30PM
According to Leonardo DiCaprio, he doesn't feel as if he's reached the peak of his acting career, and he strives with each performance to match those by the movie stars he looked up to in his childhood, he said on 'The Early Show' (weekdays, 7AM ET on CBS)."I've always known ever since I was a very young man the type of the work that I wanted to attempt to do. You see movies at 14 and 15-years-old. You see your heroes up on screen. You say, 'I could never do something like that. I could never do something that good,'" DiCaprio said. "So, that's the only thing that really fuels me to keep going and going, because I never feel like I've reached what my heroes have reached in cinema."

Leonardo DiCaprio on Raising a Family (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Feb 17th 2010 2:00PM
Seems Leonardo DiCaprio isn't quite ready to settle down just yet. DiCaprio appeared on 'Good Morning America' (weekdays, 7AM ET on ABC) and said that having a family isn't necessarily a priority given his successful acting career."The truth is, I'm very lucky to be in the position that I'm in right now. I don't want to look back at this time and say I didn't take advantage of that," DiCaprio said. However, the 35-year-old actor didn't entirely rule out raising a family. "If other stuff happens to come along in a natural progression, so be it," he said.

Regis Grills Michelle Williams on Leonardo DiCaprio (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Feb 17th 2010 1:30PM
On 'Live With Regis and Kelly' (weekdays, syndicated), Regis Philbin grills Michelle Williams on what it was like to work with Leonardo DiCaprio on 'Shutter Island.' In particular, Philbin seems most concerned with how DiCaprio performed in the kissing department. "I'm just wondering because he is an attractive guy," Philbin said. "But sometimes these good looking guys don't know how to kiss a woman."

Today to host classic TV cast reunions
by Allison Waldman, posted Feb 22nd 2008 12:02PM
Reunions are hot, you know? On February 12, for example, Oprah reunited (most of) the kids from The Cosby Show, with Bill appearing via satellite. Well, never one to let a good idea go to waste, NBC jumped on the theme. They recently had a Family Ties reunion on Today, so now the morning show is commencing tomorrow with a series of more "Together Again" features. Tune into 8:00 a.m. hour each day so you don't miss a thing!Leo DiCaprio developing a 'green' reality show
by Anna Johns, posted Oct 17th 2006 12:29PM
Movie actor and political activist Leonardo DiCaprio is helping develop a reality show that is meant to raise awareness about the environment. The show, called E-topia, is about an American town that transforms into an environmentally friendly "utopia of tomorrow". It sounds like the conflict in the show is expected to come when construction workers try to build under the direction of some very passionate eco-idealists, planners and architects. The series is currently being shopped around to the networks. While the message is undeniably important, it also may be a little too preachy to be called 'reality television'. Since when does reality television carry a positive message? The genre is forever aligned with shows like Laguna Beach, Big Brother, The Bachelor and Survivor. If anything, it sounds like a documentary series meant for Discovery Channel or HGTV.
