Top 5 TVR Clips of the Week: 'The Talk' Reacts Live to Anthony Verdict, Regis and Larry David Get Awkward & More (VIDEO)

by Alex Moaba, posted Jul 9th 2011 12:50PM

What a week it was. We emerged from our barbeque and beer induced long-weekend slumber on Tuesday just in time for the most shocking court verdict since the O.J. Simpson trial. The ladies of 'The Talk' gave Nancy Grace a run for her money, reacting live to the verdict with tears, confusion and bewilderment.

But other fun things happened too. Betty White played the drums. Bristol Palin and Barbara Walters treated us to one of the most uncomfortable sex discussions ever. Regis Philbin and Larry David had their long-awaited sit-down, and it was as awkward as we hoped. Kathie Lee and Hoda tackled the modern scourge of people talking on their cell phones while sitting on the toilet.

Onto the videos! Check out our Top 5 clips of the week and vote for your favorite in our weekly poll.

Bristol Palin talks about Levi Johnston on 'The View'Bristol Palin made waves with her new book 'Not Afraid of Life: My Journey So Far' by talking about her sex life with Levi Johnston, losing her virginity and becoming pregnant. Most of her interviews since have addressed her claim that Johnston "stole" her virginity, a topic that surfaced once again Thursday when Palin appeared on 'The View' (weekdays, syndicated on ABC).

Barbara Walters asked about the passage in the book where Palin described losing her virginity on a camping trip when she was drunk, and her claim about Johnston. "It must have been okay, because you kept on having sex with him, yeah?" said Walters.

Levi Johnston Talks Bristol Palin, Calls Sarah Palin 'Hostile'The feud between Sarah Palin and former son-in-law Levi Johnston continues. Levi appeared on 'Real Time With Bill Maher' (Fri., 10PM ET on HBO). On the show, Johnston discussed his campaign to become the new mayor of Wasilla, Alaska. Levi also dished about his relationship with Bristol Palin ... and shared his feelings about Sarah Palin.

Bill Maher wanted to know whether Johnston was still in contact with Bristol Palin. Levi was pretty nonchalant about the whole thing. This was his response: "We're friends." The host was surprised that the young man no longer had feelings for Bristol.

Levi took a break from acting blasé -- in order to confess that he was cheering for Bristol on 'Dancing With the Stars.' That's very polite, coming from a jilted lover.

Can Jimmy Kimmel Please Be Levi Johnston's Campaign Manager? (VIDEO)

Jimmy Kimmel Offers Campaign Slogans to Levi JohnstonLevi Johnston is running for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, a post his ex-fiancée's mother held before -- well, we all know Sarah Palin's political history.

This is all about Levi. A docu-reality show (titled 'Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor's Office') will follow his quest. But the self-professed "half-redneck, half-Hollywood" former Playgirl model was quick to clarify on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12:05AM ET on ABC) that part of the series would follow his Tinseltown pursuits as well.

"We've come up with some [campaign] merchandise," said Jimmy Kimmel. "If you want to reproduce this, it's all yours."

The host helpfully offered Johnston a slogan-laden button, bumper sticker, baseball cap and yard sign. The hat is our fave: The catchphrase just rolls off the tongue.

Levi Johnston to Star in Reality Show and Run for Mayor?

by Catherine Lawson, posted Aug 10th 2010 5:35AM
Levi Johnston arrives at the 2010 Teen Choice AwardsSo, he may not be headed down the aisle with Bristol Palin any time soon, but Levi Johnston just can't let go of the reality TV show dream. Having shopped around various ideas to television networks, he's now reported to be working on another new show: 'Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor's Office.'

Yes, you read it right: The 20-year-old Johnston wants to follow in Sarah Palin's footsteps and run for the office of Mayor of Wasilla, Alaska. And have it chronicled as part of a "no-holds barred" reality show that will follow the erstwhile 'Playgirl' model as he goes about his campaign and his daily life co-raising son Tripp.

Johnston told 'Variety' that although he initially wasn't that into the whole idea, "the more I think about it and look into it, I think there's a possibility we can make it happen."

Bristol Palin, Levi Johnston are Not Doing a Reality Show

by Chris Harnick, posted Jul 20th 2010 10:40AM
Levi Johnston and Bristol PalinFile this under good news: Bristol Palin and her on-again/off-again fiancé Levi Johnston are not doing a reality show.

The show was reportedly going to focus on the young couple as the prepare for their wedding -- yep, they're on-again -- and raise their young son (think along the lines of 'Bethenny Getting Married?' but with a right-wing slant). But now, according to Us Weekly, the show is a no-go.

"There is a lot of public speculation that Bristol and Levi have signed up for a reality show about their relationship. They have not," Palin's representative told Us Weekly. "While several networks have pitched different concepts, Bristol has not agreed to participate in any show. Her focus remains on doing what is best for Tripp and her family."

However, according to the New York Post, it wasn't Palin's rejection of the concept -- networks weren't taking to the idea.

But, with this engagement, there's more news -- well more just rumors at this point -- that have sparked more interest in the young couple.

According to several blogs, one of which Gawker picked up on, Bristol and Levi's engagement is just part one of a two-part media bonanza. The second part? A reality show. Yes, the Palins are pretty much the new Kardashians.

Kathy Griffin Visits Levi Johnston, Palin HomeWhile on tour through Alaska, Kathy Griffin stopped by the home of Levi Johnston, aka, Bristol Palin's baby daddy and (more recently) Griffin's boy toy.

"If Sarah [Palin] were allowed to shoot humans, then my ass would be hanging on her wall," she says on 'Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List' (Tue., 10PM ET on BRVO).

But that does not deter Johnston from driving her to the Palins' home. Since no one but the handyman is there, she leaves a note inviting the family to her Anchorage show, careful to add "XO XO" to the letter. How very sweet.

Extra mile(s), indeed. Once amid Johnston's old stomping ground ("the 'Silla"), the couple hoped to have dinner in his ex-fiance's home. But did anyone let them in?
