Instant Dharma: A Big Reunion, a Surprise Return and Picking Sides (VIDEO)

by Maggie Furlong, posted Apr 21st 2010 8:30AM
Welcome to Instant Dharma, where we break down all things 'Lost' every week -- equal parts for our own sanity and for your entertainment.

unless you've seen the episode or don't mind spoilers.

This week, Brian Ford Sullivan (@thefutoncritic), also known as The Futon Critic, and Natalie Abrams (@NatalieAbrams) from TVGuide.com join me to talk about 'The Last Recruit,' a jam-packed episode with more explosions, a heartfelt (if not too short) reunion for two loves and a boat ride for Sawyer, Jack, Kate, Sun, Hurley, Claire and a pilot who "looks like he stepped off the set of a Burt Reynolds movie" (Lapidus!).

This week, our own Jo Garfein (@jopinionated), also known as Jopinionated, and Dave McCoy from MSN TV (@MSNtv) join me to talk about 'Everybody Loves Hugo,' the explosive Hurley-centric episode that gave us another long-overdue love connection, a new leader and the answer about those pesky jungle whispers.

Watch, share with your friends and tell us what you think is going on -- the author of the most insightful 'Lost' theory in the comments here will receive an awesomely number-ific 'Lost' poster by graphic designer Ty Mattson (@TyMattson), which you'll see at the end of the show.

This week, Kate Aurthur (@KateAurthur) of The Daily Beast and Kristin Dos Santos (@kristinalert) from E! Online join me to talk about 'The Package,' this week's Jin- and Sun-centric episode. There were subtitles in unexpected places, symbolic tomatoes, old friends finally returning and even a shirtless Daniel Dae Kim, if that's your thing. We also got an annoying countdown clock for 'V,' but I think enough has been said about that nuisance.

This week, comedian, actor and 'Lost' super fan Paul Scheer (@PaulScheer) and Eric Goldman, editor of IGN TV (@EricIGN), join me to talk about 'Sundown.' It was the most brutal, dark, disturbing episode of 'Lost' -- maybe ever -- but we still managed a few laughs along with our insight.

This week, PopEater's freelance geek Jenna Busch (@JennaBusch) and Todd VanDerWerff, who blogs about TV for the Los Angeles Times & A.V. Club (@tvoti), join me to talk about 'Lighthouse.' It was a particularly awesome Jack episode ... especially if you consider Claire's craziness, Jacob's reflection stalking and a new generation of Shephard men with daddy issues awesome. I know I do.

'Lost' Season 6 Premiere Recap

by Ryan McKee, posted Feb 2nd 2010 11:45PM
The beginning of the end didn't fail to raise more questions than it answer, which is what 'Lost' have have come to expect. At the beginning of the 'Lost' season 6 premiere,

it seemed Jack's plan to blow up the island and set the survivors paths back on course before the flight worked. Jack is sitting on Oceanic Flight 815 drinking his weak airline cocktail. Rose is sitting next to him when turbulence suddenly makes that familiar shake. However, as quickly as it begins, it stops.

Lost: There's No Place Like Home, Part Two (season finale)

After having my mind blown several times during the finale, I'm wondering if we'll ever see another "normal" episode of Lost again. For better or for worse, the game has changed. Most of the 815ers have new agendas now, and some of our favorite survivors' fates are up in the air. Season five of Lost will look very different from seasons past, and I can't wait to see what the future holds.

Matthew Fox
(S04E12) I completely understand why Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse needed an extra hour for the finale. The first of three hours had so much information and moved to so many different locations, and I still feel like we've barely scratched the surface. It's going to be a long two weeks. That's all I have to say.

One of the few flashbacks of the season showed us John Locke's predestined connection to the island. Locke encountered some familiar faces before the crash, and each meeting guided him to his current situation. While Jack's mind is set on rescuing everyone on the island, Locke's focus in on saving the island itself. This episode put everyone, including the freighter folk, in place to carry out their plans. I'm already stoked for the finale.
