'Lost' - 'Dr. Linus' Recap

'Lost' - 'Dr. Linus'
(S06E07)
Benjamin Linus is one of the most fascinating characters ever put to screen, played with devilish brilliance by Michael Emerson. He positively dominates every scene he's in with those intense, thoughtful and incredibly dangerous big eyes of his. This week, we got to see quite literally two sides of Ben Linus.

Considering that virtually Ben's entire life happened on the island in the alpha-verse, I had been intrigued as to what beta-Ben would be like ever since his first appearance in 'The Substitute' three weeks ago. As I anticipated, our flash-sideways picks up events somewhat shortly after Locke's story.

It also features Locke, as well as a few other familiar faces in new and intriguing roles. At this point, I think I could watch an entire series set in the beta-verse just to see all these people's lives interconnect. It's truly fascinating stuff.

Lost, Smoke Monster, KateSmokey the bandit or bear or Locke or whatever it is made an appearance on 'Lost' (Tue., 9PM ET on ABC) last night. Seriously, that thing is like the worst demon of 'Supernatural,' 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer,' and 'True Blood' all put together.

And, apparently, it only makes matters worse if you hang out in a temple. We're just glad our heroes have some smooth moves left in them.

'Lost' - John Locke is the Smoke MonsterWhat the... ?!! Did you guys see this coming?! Tonight's 'beginning of the end' episode of 'Lost' (Tues., 9PM ET on ABC) was a thrill ride like no other.

When John Locke looked at Ben and said, "I'm sorry you had to see me like that," it was the line heard 'round the world. Of course, this was after the Smoke Monster swirled around and took out a few people in the process – meaning John Locke is the Smoke Monster!

Yes, we're majorly excited about the repercussions of all this and can't wait to find out what happens next. And didn't Terry O'Quinn turn in another fine performance as Locke? Read our recap of tonight's episode of 'Lost.'

Nestor Carbonell Previews the Final Season of 'Lost'

by Mike Moody, posted Feb 2nd 2010 10:01AM
nestor carbonell lostWe're only hours away from the premiere of the final season of 'Lost'. I'm excited, you're excited, and Richard Alpert himself, Nestor Carbonell, is right there with us.

I spoke to Carbonell recently about his role in the show's much-anticipated endgame. Needless to say, there are some big things in store for our favorite ageless Other, and Carbonell is looking forward to showing fans a whole new side of Richard (or should we call him Ricardus?).

He obviously couldn't spill all of the show's big secrets, but he was surprisingly candid about what we could expect from his character this year. Will we learn why Richard doesn't appear to age? Will his bond to Jacob be explored? Head after the jump to find out ... Minor spoilers follow.

What to Watch: February 2

'Lost' (9PM, ABC) season 6 premiere
So many questions to be answered as the show, one of the greatest watercooler series of all time, kicks off its final season. We pick up with the island-dwellers just after the bomb detonation from last season's finale. Who's alive? Did Juliet survive the blast? Why and how is Claire back on our TV screens? Yep, the bomb fallout is a doozy, as it appears to be not so much a matter of how or where Sawyer, Juliet, Jack, Kate, Locke and the gang are, but rather when they are ... yeah, we know, you get one answer and 20 more questions pop up. Man, we love this show.
