First lady
Michelle Obama talked about her daughters and Facebook this morning on 'Today' (Weekdays, 7AM on NBC), reporting that neither Sasha, who is 9, nor Malia, 12, are on the popular social networking site.
Matt Lauer asked her what her reasoning was for keeping her kids off Facebook. "I'm not a big fan of young kids having Facebook," said Obama. "It's not something they need. It's not necessary right now."

Glenn Beck Apologizes for Mocking the President's Daughter (VIDEO)
by Harley W. Lond, posted Jun 2nd 2010 5:20PM
Commentator Glenn Beck -- who's always been very big on not dragging a politician's family into the political debate -- stepped over the line last week by mocking President Obama's 11-year-old daughter, Malia. He came in for flack from the usual cast of suspects, but criticism always rolls off his back -- unless it comes from his wife.Beck took a minute of time during Tuesday's 'Glenn Beck' show (weekdays, 5PM ET on FNC) to credit his wife with making him see the error of his ways. After she heard his on-air comments, she quietly asked him why he had "made fun of the president's children."

by Gary Susman, posted Jan 13th 2010 12:00PM
It's been weeks now, and still, President Barack Obama has had nothing to say about two of the greatest threats to American security. We're speaking, of course, about Snooki and The Situation, from MTV's new series 'Jersey Shore.' Alas, according to First Lady Michelle Obama, it's a show the First Family does not watch. "I've heard about it," Mrs Obama tells People, in an interview all about the Obamas' TV viewing preferences. "Not seen it."
Oprah's going to take us to Christmas at the White House
by Allison Waldman, posted Nov 25th 2009 1:04PM
If I had a dollar for all the times I've written about Oprah Winfrey in the past few weeks, I'd be able to retire. Well, the O is one busy lady. She's just booked another TV program. On Sunday, December 13, ABC will broadcast Christmas at the White House: An Oprah Primetime Special. Set the DVR for 10 p.m. because that's when President Barack Obama will welcome Oprah into America's grandest national house.Take that, Barbara Walters! Not so fast with that ascension to the upper echelon, Robin Roberts. Back off, Diane Sawyer. Oprah Winfrey has an 'in' with the First Family and that's why she's going to be visiting the Obamas for a tour of what the holidays are like at the White House. This is the first time President Obama and the First Lady are having Christmas there, and it'll be all new to them.
