Snoop Dogg Works Wonders on 'The View' (VIDEO)
by Meg Prossnitz, posted Dec 15th 2009 12:54PM
Though the ladies of 'The View' have made headlines for their bickering, it took nothing more than a gangsta rapper turned family man -- Snoop Dogg -- to turn the ladies from daytime divas to grinning, giggling graces. Ice Cube, here's lookin' at you!Bearing crippin' blue gift bags, Snoop Dogg graciously avoided the mistake of snubbing one of the hosts by kissing each and every one on the cheek. And his gifts offered a personal touch: though Whoopi, Barbara, Sherri and Elisabeth all received Neff beanie hats designed to look like cupcakes in "vanilla," their first names were embroidered on each hat. Joy, however, received a black iPod loaded with Snoop's new album, 'Malice N Wonderland,' hooked up to his Skullcandy headphones. One way to unify the 'View' ladies: woo them with gifts. Future guests, take note.

Snoop Dogg returning to One Life to Live
by Allison Waldman, posted Dec 12th 2009 11:01AM
The Dogg is back. That's right, rapper Snoop Dogg is returning to One Life to Live on February 24... and you know what? I'm excited about it. Believe it or not, but when it comes to musicians dropping into a daytime soap, Snoop's was one of the best. You do know that singers often are written into a soap for a song and scene or two, don't you? Well, they do. Oftentimes, however, it's just awkward and unreal. One Life to Live, on the other hand, does it really well. The last time Snoop was there, back in May, he did a couple of songs and interacted with the cast. The writers made it that Snoop had a past history with Bo, so they could get into it a bit in a funny way. When Snoop returns in February, he and Bo wil mix it up again. The Dogg will also do a song from his new CD, Malice N Wonderland.
