The 'Ghostbusters' Appear -- at a Mall? There's something strange -- in the neighborhood. There's something weird; and it don't look good. So who you gonna call? ... Why, the mall cops, of course.

On 'Mall Cops: Mall of America' (Thu., 10PM ET on TLC), four very strange men appear in the parking lot. They're dressed as the Ghostbusters, and they've arrived in a custom-built Ghostbuster-mobile. Officer Johnson of the mall police shows up to check out the scene. He's protecting the Mall of America, the biggest shopping center in the nation. But he seems a little flummoxed by the Ghostbusters' arrival. He says this: "There's not anything in the training manual about seeing Ghostbusters in the mall." Good point!

Pants on the Ground on 'Mall Cops' (VIDEO)

Mall Cops: Mall of AmericaA woman wouldn't pull her pants up on 'Mall Cops: Mall of America' (Thu., 10PM on TLC), so what's a mall cop to do? She could call in Larry 'Pants on the Ground' Platt to have him teach her a lesson about low pants, or ask her to leave the mall.

"You need to watch your pants, this is a family environment," the mall officer said. The woman with the low pants responded, "I'm grown ... I'm grown."

Despite repeated warnings, the pants were left exposing the woman's behind and mall cops escorted her out of the establishment. Wasn't her exposed butt cold in the snow?

Mall Cops coming to TV

by Brad Trechak, posted Nov 23rd 2009 9:29AM

Paul Blart Mall CopI am sorry to report that Kevin James in Paul Blart: Mall Cop and Seth Rogen in Observe and Report have started a phenomenon, because a new reality series called Mall Cops: Mall of America is coming to TLC. This is what happens when two movies that are superficially related to each other get released in close chronological proximity.

Granted, the Mall of America is one of the biggest (if not the biggest) malls in America and there is likely more than a fair share of crimes that go on there during any given day. I just wonder if the show is going to hire its own criminals to commit felonies in the mall just to keep things interesting.

I can see it now: the season deals with standard problems like shoplifters and lost children until the season finale which ends in a hostage situation cliffhanger. Want to see the footage of how it turns out? Wait until season two.
