It's almost time for the Super Bowl, and you know what that means: millions of disaffected television fans trying without success to find something other than football they can watch instead. But while counter-programming options can sometimes be limited ('Lingerie Bowl?' Really, that's the best you can do?), you're in luck, because this week finds a whole new batch of DVD releases ready to save your weekend.
TV's Most Memorable Mothers and Daughters
by David Hofstede, posted Jan 29th 2010 3:00PM
The new CW series 'Life Unexpected' explores the unique relationship between Lux (Brittany Robertson), a teenager raised in a succession of foster homes, and her birth mother, radio talk show host Cate Cassidy (Shiri Appleby). It's the latest in a tradition of TV series featuring memorable mothers and daughters, a formula that has inspired both great shows ('The Gilmore Girls') and disasters ('Kath and Kim'). If 'Life Unexpected' becomes a hit, perhaps we'll have one more duo to add to this list of TV's most memorable moms and the girls they love.
Check out the top 10 list after the jump.
'The Mary Tyler Moore Show' Cast: Where Are They Now?
by Aimee Deeken, posted Jun 2nd 2008 3:40PM
Whatever happened to Mary, Lou and the gang? It's been 31 years since plucky career girl Mary Richards last tossed her hat in the air on that Minneapolis sidewalk after 'The Mary Tyler Moore Show''s seven-year run (1970-'77).
Even Oprah has recently paid her respects -- and if Oprah likes it, we must pay attention.
We take a look at where the cast has been since the lights went off in the newsroom. Did they really make it after all?
Stump the King - Child Stars
by Paul Goebel, posted May 27th 2008 6:34AM
Robbie Rist is one of the most well-known child stars there is. Oddly enough it's not because he got arrested or starred in a reality show about his crazy marriage. He is well-known for his body of work.
Robbie has worked on some of the most popular shows on television including The Brady Bunch, Mary Tyler Moore, Galactica 1980, The Bionic Woman and, of course, the immortal Kidd Video, just to name a few.
