Matthew Fox Isn't Really Feeling The Royal Wedding (VIDEO)

by Jeremy Taylor, posted Apr 28th 2011 11:45AM
Matthew Fox, Piers MorganMatthew Fox has been in London for the last couple months, starring in a West End production of the Neil LeBute play "A Forest Dark and Deep." He was a guest on Wednesday's London edition of 'Piers Morgan Tonight' (weekdays, 9 PM ET on CNN) where the host wanted to get Fox's opinion on the big royal wedding which will take place in the city Friday.

Are you a romantic man?" Morgan wondered, buttering him up.

"I think so, yeah," Fox replied.

"So when the big moment comes, and [Prince William and Kate Middleton] come out on the balcony, and the prepare for what we imagine will be the most viewed kiss in history, will you be feeling a little warm and cuddly inside?"

Matthew Fox Hated Shooting the Water Sequences of 'Lost' (VIDEO)

by Jason Hughes, posted Mar 7th 2011 12:11AM
Matthew Fox Talks 'Lost,' 'The Graham Norton Show'Somebody got grumpy after getting off The Island. Or at least, that was our first impression of Matthew Fox's interview on 'The Graham Norton Show' (Sat., 10PM ET on BBC America). But then we took a closer look and realized Norton wasn't interviewing the real Fox at all. Note the goatee.

That's right, it was the 'Mirror Universe' Matthew Fox (like the classic 'Star Trek' story), which goes a long way to explaining all of his negative tales of his time working on the hit show 'Lost.'

"The part of the show that I disliked the most was having to do the water sequences," he said at one point. "I'm not very comfortable in water." Why would someone who hates water put themselves on a show like this?

Clickable: The Internet Never Forgets

by Ryan McKee, posted Sep 17th 2010 5:00PM
For years, entertainment shows would dedicate entire hours to finding photos of celebrities before they were stars. We got to see high school yearbook photos of the 'Friends' cast or a candid shot of George Clooney with a mullet. And we'd marvel at how normal they looked and gasp, "Wow, celebrities really are just like us."

The Internet has pretty much killed those shows since now anyone can do a few Google searches and come up with their own montage of crazy celebrity photos. But the Tumblr blog The Internet Never Forgets has done an excellent job of not only finding photos of celebrities before they were stars, but some of the most embarrassing.

Emmy Picks: Best Lead Actor in a Drama

by Joel Keller, posted Aug 23rd 2010 1:02PM

With the Emmy awards less than a week away, I'm continuing to pick who I think should and who I think will win the major awards.

On Friday, I discussed the Best Lead Actress in a Drama category. Today we look at their male counterparts in the Best Lead Actor in a Drama category.

Kyle Chandler, 'Friday Night Lights'
Bryan Cranston, 'Breaking Bad'
Matthew Fox, 'Lost'
Michael C. Hall, 'Dexter'
Jon Hamm, 'Mad Men'
Hugh Laurie, 'House'

Who will win:
Wow. You could make a case for everyone in this category, given the strong episodes they each submitted. That being said, Bryan Cranston didn't give the Academy any reason to avoid giving him the award for the third year in a row. 'Breaking Bad' had an exceptionally strong season, and it says a lot that I don't even think Cranston was the best actor on his show this year -- Aaron Paul did that good of a job, but he's nominated in the supporting category -- but I still think he will take the prize.

Matthew Fox, Jimmy Kimmel Find Extra 'Lost' Secret in DVD Box Set (VIDEO)

by Aimee Deeken, posted Jul 30th 2010 7:36AM
Matthew Fox Finds Extra 'Lost' Secret on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'We haven't seen Jimmy Kimmel this excited in a long time. Matthew Fox dropped by 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' (weeknights, 12:05AM ET on ABC), and the two dug through the giant 'Lost' DVD box set.

"There's all kinds of crazy secrets inside this thing," explained Fox. "It's like a puzzle and you have to go through it, and clues lead to other clues. And then you find secret discs and secret scenes."

Kimmel and Fox found a map, the game that Jacob and the Man in Black played, a letter and a tiny black-light for certain clues. "Also good if you go to a motel, and you wanta check out the sheets," offered Kimmel helpfully.

The host then pulled out a magazine ad featuring a youthful Fox as a preppy JC Penney model. Hidden secrets indeed.

Matthew Fox: Most Deserved Emmy Nomination?

by Andrew Scott, posted Jul 8th 2010 10:00AM
Matthew FoxOf all the Emmy nominations announced today, none surprised me more than Matthew Fox's nomination in the Best Leading Actor (Drama) category.

I say that in the best way possible, as I've been rooting for him to get nominated for the past five seasons. I've always considered Jack Shephard to be the best and most underrated character on 'Lost,' and that Fox never received any major recognition outside of a Golden Globe nomination in 2006 never made any sense to me.

So kudos to the Emmy voters for finally recognizing one of the best TV performances of the last decade. Whether it was the result of 'Lost' nostalgia remains to be seen, but either way, I'll take it.

To celebrate his nomination, relive the final scene from 'Lost' (after the jump), then tell us: What's your pick for this year's most deserving Emmy nomination?

"Kate or Juliet?" asks Fallon. "Both -- at the same time," says Fox.

'Lost' - 'Across the Sea' Recap

Titus Welliver, 'Lost' - 'Across the Sea'(S06E15) "And now for something completely different." -- 'Monty Python's Flying Circus'

Here's an idea. Say you've got four-and-a-half hours to go before you're all done with a story that's been six years in the telling. How about you take the first of those hours and throw out all the rules you've established for the season as far as storytelling techniques go.

Skip all the main characters of the series, we don't need to see them. Instead, tell your story with only three main characters -- and one peripheral, but important, one.

Creators Lindelof and Cuse have always made bold strokes when it comes to how they've chosen to reveal the mysteries of 'Lost.' This week, it was time to unravel the secrets of Jacob and the Man in Black. And in respect to their importance, we'll devote the entire hour to their story.

Damon Lindelof Says 'Lost' Fans Will Still Have Questions After Finale

by Rich Keller, posted Apr 29th 2010 5:15PM
Damon Lindelof says not all questions will be answered in the 'Lost' finaleThe creators of 'Lost' are not nice people. Oh, they may entertain us with smoke monsters, islands that are not islands and time jumps that would trick even H.G. Wells, but they have left so many questions unanswered during the last five seasons that fans are still trying to figure out what the heck is going on. The only thing that's keeping them going is the feeling that all will be answered in the series finale.

Well, guess what? That's not happening, either.

So says co-creator Damon Lindelof. In an interview with the Live Feed, Lindelof states that they'll be as definitive as they can be with their ending; however, people are still going to say, "What did they mean by that?" That's not to say the finale is going to be like the still talked about cut-to-black ending of 'The Sopranos.'

EXCLUSIVE 'Lost' Collector's Vintage Prints of Final Six Candidates

by Maggie Furlong, posted Apr 28th 2010 3:30PM
There are only five hours remaining in one of the greatest TV sagas in history, and fan consumption of all things 'Lost' has reached an all-time high.
To feed the need -- because, believe me, we have it too -- ABC has given us the exclusive sneak peek at their new vintage portraits from the 'Lost' pilot gallery. Titled "The Candidate Collection," the retro images of the Island's remaining six candidates will be sold as 11"x14" custom prints on fine art, museum quality rag photo paper with deckled edges.

Besides being gorgeous shots of Jack, Sawyer, Hurley, Sayid, Jin and Sun, there will also be a hidden Easter egg in each print (in typical 'Lost' fashion), making these true collector's items.

Each print costs $49.99, or you can buy the complete collection of six for $249.99. Set your reminders now: The prints will go on sale Thursday, April 29 at 9AM PT at www.officialLostphotos.com ... and we don't expect them to last long.

Drumroll please ...
