ABC has provided Lost fans with another behind-the-scenes video podcast. Michael Giacchino, the composer for Lost, gave ABC a tour of the scoring stage where all of the show's music is recorded. He introduced several members of the the orchestra, who provided samples of familiar background music from various episodes. Giacchino also provided the following details:
-
Unlike most TV shows, Lost's music is created by a live orchestra. Giacchino prefers to work with real musicians than with a synthesizer.
- Giacchino used to receive episode scripts when he composed the music for Alias. With Lost, he prefers to merely watch completed episodes as they arrive, in order to maintain the suspense.
