['America's Got Talent' - 'Top 4 Performance Show']"People please vote." - Howie
Howie almost sounded like a broken record when he said over and over again that it was important that America voted after the live show. And he's right. Every vote counts and, based on the few polls we've done here at TV Squad, it would take only a handful of votes to sway the win from one act to another!
The Top 4 acts had one last chance to impress America. Did they? Most did but one act got Xed! Yes, an X in the finals!!! The answer as to who got Xed and how the others performed is coming up!
On the Scene: 'America's Got Talent' Final 4 Chosen
by Michael Maloney, posted Sep 9th 2010 10:40AM
Despite dark horses stepping up their games, there weren't any real surprises when the 'America's Got Talent' final 4 were revealed to be Prince Poppycock, Michael Grimm, Jackie Evancho and Fighting Gravity."The four that made it into the finals have kind of been the favorites the entire time," noted host Nick Cannon. "It's tough because of the great performances we had [in the Top 10.] But America chose the ones it felt like it always wanted to choose."
Is Cannon ever even tempted to read a name other than the one written on the card?
"No. I just hope I don't say the wrong name," Cannon laughed. "It's live TV so I have to focus on exactly what those cards say."

['America's Got Talent' - 'Top 10 Result Show']The Top 10 performers have offered us quality performances during their live shows, and deciding whom to vote for was not an easy task. The judges, especially Howie, were grateful that they didn't have to make the cut from 10 to four acts. Anonymous "America" had to make the difficult choices.

Which 'America's Got Talent' Acts Will Make It to the Next Round?
by Oliver Miller, posted Jul 22nd 2010 2:50AM
It's time to pick some more semi-finalists on 'America's Got Talent' (Wed., 9PM ET on NBC). Who will win? Who will lose? Let's find out! And your next batch of semi-finalists are ...[Spoiler alert.]
... Pretty much the people that you would have expected. Crowd favorites AscenDance made it through, as did blues singer Michael Grimm. Also making the cut was Alice Tan Ridley, mother of 'Precious' star Gabby Sidibe. Alice has a moving back-story, a celebrity daughter, and has been singing for tips on subway trains for the past twenty years -- all of which is pretty heartwarming, and which basically guaranteed her a spot in the next round.
Antonio Restivo was the last pick for this batch of semi-finalists. Why did Antonio win? Because fire and magic are really really cool, that's why. After his selection, Antonio gave a moving shout-out to his father, who watched his earliest performances, but who passed on before he could see his son make it this far.
All in all, it was a fairly unsurprising night of choices on 'America's Got Talent.' But we're glad to see a bunch of obviously skilled performers continue on the road to the finals
