Hello! My name is Bob and, yes, I'm the old fogey stick-in-the-mud crankypants who wasn't thrilled with last night's 'Saturday Night Live.'

OK, to be fair, I did laugh out loud more than once, and with any comedy show (especially 'SNL') that's a great sign. Betty White's monologue was quite good and she's the type of person who can take any material she's given and make it good, even if she's just pausing or doing a double take or making a face. I just wish that the writers had put a little more imagination into the sketches she was in.

Last night's math went something like this: Betty White + sex jokes = comedy gold!

Just in time for Mother's Day, 'The Real Housewives of New York City's' Bethenny Frankel gave birth to her first child on Saturday, May 8. Bethenny and new hubby Jason Hoppy became the proud parents of a daughter, Bryn Hoppy. The little one was a few weeks early – she was due in mid-June -- but was a healthy 4 lbs., 12 ounces.

It's wonderful news for Bethenny Frankel, and in typical 'Housewives' fashion, the one who first reported the birth to the news was Jill Zarin, BF's former BFF. Currently on 'Real Housewives of New York City,' Bethenny and Jill have been having a season-long break-up.

Nevertheless, Jill jumped on Facebook yesterday to spread the word that Bethenny's baby had arrived. Unfortunately, she had the sex wrong. Jill reported that baby Hoppy was a boy. Oops!

(S35E21) Girls, girls, girls. The Mother's Day weekend episode of 'Saturday Night Live' was pumped with estrogen, as former players Ana Gasteyer, Tina Fey, Molly Shannon, Amy Poehler, Rachel Dratch and Maya Rudolph returned to goof around on the 'SNL' stage once more. The big star was Betty White, of course, thanks to the Internet explosion that campaigned for her to host the show (ironically, half the supporters are probably too young to even know what 'Golden Girls' is). The writers pulled out all their best geriatric humor and White did beautifully.

A lot of this material probably would have completely flopped with any other guest (young playing old or just straight-up old), but White is the perfect sweet old lady archetype and that was the key to this episode's success. I guess genitalia jokes help, too.

There are all kinds of moms on TV. Moms who are funny, quirky, sexy, gorgeous, and sometimes all of the above.

Some of my favorite TV moms aren't actually even playing a mom at all. They're real moms on reality shows who are putting it all out there for us to see. They're letting us see the good, the bad and the ugly of their lives, and we inevitably compare and see how we stack up.

1. Kris Jenner, the Drama Queen. Sure, she's more dramatic than a Greek tragedy when it comes to, well, everything on 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians.' But the self-professed "momager" is always there for her kids, whether it's fending off paparazzi after a sex tape debacle or protecting a daughter who's hooked up with a smarmy loser. You know who you are.

Remember how good things were for June Cleaver and Harriet Nelson? Yes, those TV moms had the good life, and troubles were easily solved without much muss or fuss. Sure, that was another century, and the mothers on today's television shows, even the sitcoms, don't have all the answers. Some, in fact, are quite troubled. Here's a look at a few current TV moms who definitely can be called troubled. Troubled in their daily lives with themselves and their families. For these five ladies, Mother's Day may be the one day of the year when things go right. Maybe ...

1. Tara Gregson, 'United States of Tara' There is no more trouble mother on this list than Tara, and her united states are not particularly united at all. She suffers from dissociative identity disorder and has a group of altars who take over her life without warning. This makes it pretty hard for Tara to be the loving wife of Max and mom to Kate and Marshall. The fact that they all adore her and try to live with Tara and the others -- Alice, T, Buck, Gimme, Shoshana -- is a testament to the love that this family enjoys. But that doesn't mean they're not dysfunctional or that Tara's disease has taken its toll on all of them. There's no telling whether Mother's Day is even something the Gregsons can imagine in a traditional way.

Mother's Day isn't just for humans! Especially on 'Life,' the BBC/Discovery Channel production which offers a birds'-eye view of wildlife around the globe. The series will be available on DVD and Blu-ray on June 1.

May sweeps are upon us, and you know what that means: It's make or break time for shows on the bubble. This year, popular shows such as 'Two and a Half Men' and 'One Tree Hill' could go either way -- they could come back or join other shows in cancellation heaven.

Patricia Chui, Kelly Woo and Chris Harnick talk about bubble shows such as 'Law and Order,' 'Mercy,' 'V,' 'The Human Target' and other shows from The CW, ABC, NBC, Fox and CBS and what their chances are for renewal.

Since the term"MILF" became part of the lexicon almost a decade ago, there has been constant debate about the sexiest moms in movies, scripted shows, reality shows, and on your block. Now we add another debate to this slate: Sexy cartoon MILFs. Sure it's a little creepy and you may need a shower after talking about having sex with a two-dimensional characters, but it's really all innocent fun. Plus, it does relate to the upcoming Mother's Day holiday.

So, after a comprehensive study conducted with nine drunken college seniors, here are six cartoon moms that could be considered MILFy.

That Betty White Mother's Day episode of 'Saturday Night Live' on May 8 just got a whole lot more interesting. Today, the news broke that Amy Poehler is having a baby. This will be baby number two for Amy and her brilliantly funny spouse Will Arnett. It'll also throw the production schedule of Amy's NBC sitcom 'Parks and Recreation' into a tailspin, but the network has been aware of her delicate condition for weeks and they've been making arrangements.

According to The Wrap, Amy's on screen character, Leslie Knope, will not be having a baby. That would be catastrophic for Leslie, since the career woman who dreams of climbing the political ladder from Pawnee, Indiana, to the state capitol and beyond, is a single lady. An out of wedlock baby might not be a catalyst to bigger and better things.

This whole "Betty White as 'SNL' host" movement has been fascinating to watch. Think about it: the users of a decidedly 21st century technology, Facebook, got together in support of a star who started working before the vast majority of the site's users were even born. No one on FB is looking to have Tony Curtis be a guest panelist on 'The Marriage Ref,' or want Dick Cavett to be the new host of 'The Tonight Show,' for instance.

Most people were overjoyed to hear that the online movement to get her on the show was a success; now, according to WNBC and People magazine, White's 'Saturday Night Live' hosting gig has an air date: May 8. She'll be part of a Mother's Day-themed episode which will feature former cast members who are also moms, including Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, and Molly Shannon. Rachel Dratch will also be there; she's not a mom but tended to play one in a lot of her sketches when she was a cast member.

(S34E22) Justin Timberlake returned for his third turn as host and it was tough not to keep expectations pretty high. I mean, if an vengeful warlock were to suddenly put a crippling curse on his music career (like they do), Timberlake could definitely fall back on being a professional SNL host. Yes, this would become a real profession, just for him.

As usual, some sketches fell a bit flat, but Timberlake's over-confident, hammy swagger made things a little more interesting. This particular episode also gave us another legendary musical Digital Short with Timberlake and Andy Samberg and a couple of all-around MILFs. It's tough to top a surprise appearance by Leonard effin' Nimoy, but "Motherlover" was certainly the highlight of the evening. Here are some other notable video moments!

Mother's Day is Sunday, but we all have to realize that not every mom deserves a box of chocolates, a nice dinner, or a bouquet of flowers. AOL has their picks for the worst TV moms of all time, and a lot of the usual suspects are on the list. I think we can all agree that Marie Barone on Everybody Loves Raymond should be on the list. She clearly loves her kids, but...wow, how manipulative and pushy and meddling can a person get?

Evelyn Harper from Two and a Half Men is on the list, too. She's such a bad mom that it's sometimes easy to forget that she's even Charlie and Alan's mother. She seems more like some older, sexy aunt or something.

ABC offered a set of fun Valentine's Day e-cards earlier this year, and they're at it again with a more extensive set of Mother's Day e-cards. More of my favorite ABC shows were let in on the fun this time, including Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money, and Samantha Who?. Show Mom your love with a clever message from Lost's Claire, Susan from Desperate Housewives, or Hilda from Ugly Betty.

The cards are one part of a "Guide to Motherhood" page on ABC's website. You can watch clips from ABC's hit shows based on four motherhood themes: New Moms, Nesting, Words of Wisdom, and Letting Go. It's an amusing way to look back at some of the unconventional approaches to parenting taken in the last season.
