Magnifico! The Muppets Do 'Bohemian Rhapsody' (VIDEO)
by Bryan Enk, posted Nov 24th 2009 3:47PM
Bismillah! The Muppets Studio has posted a new video on YouTube of all your favorite Muppet characters performing Queen's rock classic 'Bohemian Rhapsody.'
The Muppets' version manages to be even more majestic, surreal and shamelessly excessive than the original Queen video -- and even the famous scene from 'Wayne's World' that served as an introduction to the song for a whole new generation.
Check it out after the jump, and set aside some time for repeat viewings; it actually gets better and more brilliant as it goes along, ending with a rather unexpected and amusing punchline from Kermit himself.
America's Got Talent: Audition show 8

(S04E08) "They will let anybody on this show. Why?" - Nick after seeing a bad act
Haven't you watched the show before, Nick? Didn't your agent tell you what the series was all about before you signed on the dotted line? America's Got Talent is all about everyday people showcasing their talents. And, as it is the case for American Idol, anyone and everyone can audition, meaning that the audition episodes will be filled with bad acts performed by people who should have stayed home.
Tonight's installment featured an excerpt of Mariah Carey's new music video for the song "Obsessed." The song is not too bad, but I miss "Vision of Love" Mariah with the bigger vocals and usage of her full and impressive voice range. The clip, even if we didn't see it in its entirety (it may have aired fully in your area), seemed to be entertaining enough to air a million times on MTV in the next month. In case you missed the announcement, Mariah, aka AGT's host Nick Cannon's wife, will perform live on the show during the August 5 result episode.
Now onto comments about tonight's acts, including links to see more from some of the performers!
It's an FNMTV summer
by Kristin Sample, posted Jun 12th 2008 2:21PM
It looks like MTV is making an effort (albeit a small one) to show music videos again. Tomorrow a new show called FNMTV will premiere at 8 p.m. The show, hosted by Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy, is a 24/7 non-stop music celebration combining the best music experiences from the TV and the web. Each week MTV will premiere new music videos from established or up-and-coming artists. Also, Fans will be able to create their own music experiences on MTV.com and choose which ones will be aired on the show. Confirmed talent for the this summer includes Panic! at the Disco, Snoop Dogg, The Pussycat Dolls, Flo-Rida, The Ting Tings, Lil' Wayne, Duffy, Boys Like Girls, and Vampire Weekend. These artists are set for either special guest appearances or live stage performances.
Check out the Battlestar Galactica music video

Whoa! What's with all the Battlestar Galactica posts today? You'd think we're fans or something. Sheesh! This latest little tidbit is too good to pass up. There's a BSG music video over at the SciFi Channel's website. It doesn't say who sings it, but it's a goofy little comparison of the old Battlestar Galactica versus the new one. There are a couple of cute lines like, "Apollo's hair looks like a shampoo commercial," and "You're full of Cylon clones and those old fashioned phones." I don't watch SciFi often enough to know whether the music video is actually getting some play on the cable channel.
Enjoy!
