'Top Chef': Natalie Portman Drops by as Guest Judge
by Donald Deane, posted Oct 29th 2009 10:49AM
Natalie Portman guested on this week's 'Top Chef: Las Vegas' and threw the remaining contestants a curveball with her vegetarian dietary requirements. The final seven chefs were prepared to create a reimagined TV dinner using a variety of meat at Tom Colicchio's Craftsteak restaurant, but were instead asked to prepare a dish using nothing but veggies. In this clip, diners react during the elimination challenge to Chef Michael Voltaggio's asparagus salad, Japanese tomato sashimi and banana polenta. Although Voltaggio wasn't the winner of the challenge, diners responded favorably to his unusual pairing of polenta with banana.

Review: Top Chef - Meat Natalie
by Allison Waldman, posted Oct 29th 2009 12:40AM

(S06E10) After last week's restaurant wars, which I found really disappointing, I was hoping for a really tough challenge tonight. As Hemal guessed, having Natalie Portman as a guest judge did turn this main competition into a vegetarian duel. Oooh, yum. Vegetables. More about the kale and mushrooms after the jump.
TV Squad Ten: Top SNL Digital Shorts - VIDEOS
by Annie Wu, posted Feb 11th 2009 11:03AM

To celebrate the release of The Lonely Island's debut album "Incredibad," we've compiled this list of the top ten Saturday Night Live Digital Shorts. For almost four years, Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer have brought us these videos, and they've managed to keep us laughing and humming their tunes weeks after they've aired. We hope this countdown makes you feel just as SNL-y in your digital shorts as when you first saw the videos, and if not, that's okay too. We're glad you're here anyway.
Of course, the rule is that they must have been prefaced by the "An SNL Digital Short" card to qualify. We know how much you love "Virgania Horsen's Hot Air Balloon Rides," but it's not happening. Sorry.
Project Runway: Grass is Always Greener
by Annie Wu, posted Jul 25th 2008 1:17PM
(S05E02) First of all, I thought last week lacked a fancy new intro because the episode was packed the rafters with new season goodness. However, since we got nothing again, I suppose this was just another instance of Bravo not caring enough to give the show the love it deserved. Secondly, I have decided that I don't have a favorite this season, just some people that annoy me less than others. Everyone is so self-conscious this time around. I pray that Blayne leaves the show soon, just so this "-licious" craze he is attempting to jump-start will die a quick death. Plus, I'm tired of adjusting my display to make sense of his tan.
Natalie Portman, Matt Dillon to host SNL
by Anna Johns, posted Mar 1st 2006 8:34AM
After a three-week hiatus because of the Olympics,
Saturday Night Live is back this weekend. The gorgeous (seriously, just look at the picture of her with a
shaved head) Natalie Portman will host and the musical guest will be Fall Out Boy. It's the first appearance on the
show for both Natalie and the band. Natalie will be sporting a short hairdo and will hopefully be making fun of the
fact that everyone is freaking out over her shaved head in her upcoming movie, V is for Vendetta. Then, on March 11, Matt Dillon will host while Arctic Monkeys, the band that everyone is talking about these days, will be the musical guest.
