From Small Screen to Singer: When TV Stars Double as Musicians
by Spinner Editors, posted Nov 24th 2011 2:00PM
From Spinner: We love a good crossover, especially when our favorite TV stars pick up a microphone and belt out some tunes.

The good folks over at Spinner have compiled a bunch of videos of TV celebs from Joey Lawrence to Zooey Deschanel as they showcase their vocal chops. Though a number of singers have moved from music to television, this list features stars who made it big on the small screen before picking up a microphone, to varying degrees of success.

Star Trek's Uhura joins Heroes
by Isabelle Carreau, posted Aug 14th 2007 12:21PM
To boldly go where other Star Trek actors have gone before: Heroes! A few days ago, TrekMovie.com revealed that Nichelle Nichols, who played Uhura in the original Star Trek series, was cast in a recurring role on NBC's hit show Heroes. The actress joins George Takei, Sulu from the original Trek, and Dominic Keating, Malcolm Reed from Enterprise, who are already on Heroes' pay roll (Keating was cast in a recurring role earlier this summer). To add to the Star Trek-Heroes links, Zachary Quinto, who plays Sylar, was cast as Spock in the upcoming movie. Slight spoilers after the jump! The Five: 40 years of Star Trek babes
by Brett Love, posted Sep 8th 2006 6:01PM
When I first considered doing 'The Five' for the women of Star Trek it seemed simple enough. After giving that some thought though, I realized it's just not possible. Over the hundreds of hours of television and movies that comprise the Trek universe, there have just been way too many beautiful women to boil it all down to just five. I mean, just in the original series you have the likes of Yeoman Tamura (Miko Mayama - pictured), Lt. Landon (Celeste Yarnall), T'Pring (Arlene Martel), Mea Three (Barbara Babcock), Drusilla (Lois Jewell), and Andrea (Sherry Jackson). And that's just to start. So, while I have chosen five of my favorites after the jump, I realize that there are easily another fifty that could make the list. Feel free to add your favorites in the comments. I'm curious to see what the TV Squad faithful think.TV Squad Hot Topics
