Is 'Reno 911!' Making a Comeback?
by Catherine Lawson, posted Oct 7th 2011 6:15AM
Time to dust off those tight shorts and polish your nightstick: Jim Dangle and the crew could be coming back!Hot on the heels of a possible 'Arrested Development' revival, we hear that 'Cops' parody 'Reno 911!' could also be in line for resurrection.
According to Vulture, Netflix and the show's producers are in talks about producing new episodes. But don't get too excited: There are a lot of obstacles to get past before it could become reality.
But just how great would it be if it actually happened? And is there a full-on Noughties revival building in the world of TV?
Kate Gosselin Talks Raising Teenagers (VIDEO)
by Donald Deane, posted Apr 5th 2010 2:00PM
We imagine things are already tough enough for Kate Gosselin as a newly-divorced mother of eight children. So, it comes as no surprise that she doesn't like the idea that parenting gets more difficult as children get older. On 'Good Morning America' (weekdays, 7AM ET on ABC), Gosselin reacts to a comment made by 'Dancing With the Stars' co-star Niecy Nash that teenagers are harder to raise than young children.

Is Lindsay Lohan a Secret Celebrity Hoarder? (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Mar 31st 2010 7:03PM
Lindsay Lohan has been accused of having various addictions -- to drugs, to alcohol, to fame -- but did you know that she also may be addicted to ... clothes? On the latest episode of 'The Insider' (weekdays, 7PM ET on CBS), Niecy Nash went inside Lohan's apartment. "I'm here because I heard you got a whole lot of mayhem and a whole lot of foolishness," Nash said. "I have a lot of clothing ... I have a lot of stuff," said Lohan. "Can you show me your 'stuff'?" Nash asked. But what Nash found may be more "stuff" and clothing than you can ever imagine.

Niecy Nash Talks About Almost Being Killed When She Was Little (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Mar 24th 2010 9:02PM
Niecy Nash -- the star of 'Reno 911!' -- has had a tragic and often painful life. On Wednesday's edition of 'The Insider' (weekdays, syndicated), Nash and her mother, Margaret, discussed an incident that almost killed them. They revealed that Margaret's former boyfriend shot Margaret in the back -- while going after Niecy's brother -- with a sawed-off shotgun. Then he set the house on fire ... with Niecy still inside, hiding under a bed.
It's a pretty shocking incident -- one that will send chills up your spine.

Crispin Glover Talks About His Czech Republic Castle on 'Bonnie Hunt' (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Mar 23rd 2010 6:12PM
Bonnie Hunt has the weirdest guests on the 'The Bonnie Hunt Show' (weekdays, syndicated). Just the other day, she had Niecy Nash yelling at her about forgetting a birthday party. And on Tuesday, Hunt interviewed Crispin Glover, who is perhaps The Weirdest Man Alive™. Glover talked about owning his own castle in the Czech Republic. And we can all relate to that, right? Or maybe not. Anyway, the former George McFly talked about his castle and shared photographs with an amazed Hunt. "This dining room ... it's like from the set of 'Dark Shadows,' she said. Why the castle? Cause there's horse stables next door that he uses for a sound stage. What? Watch the clip to find out more.

Niecy Nash Feels Bonnie Hunt Is Ignoring Her (VIDEO)
by Oliver Miller, posted Mar 22nd 2010 4:14PM
Don't mess with Niecy Nash! The comedy star is appearing on the newest season of 'Dancing With the Stars,' and was on 'The Bonnie Hunt Show' (weekdays, syndicated) Monday to discuss her career. Apparently, Hunt had earlier "ditched" Niecy after Niecy set up a double-date for them, and then Hunt made matters worse by forgetting her birthday. Nash didn't take this lying down. "...Make it up to me!" she told Hunt, over and over again. Hunt, who kept saying she was "still gonna be busy," finally gave in.
The lesson here: If you forget Niecy Nash's birthday, you can still make it up to her with a present later on. Let's hope that Nash is as good at dancing as she is at arguing.

'Dancing With the Stars': Who Waltzes Away With a Win?
by David Hofstede, posted Mar 15th 2010 3:00PM
It's that time again. The celebrities have been gathered from across the sports and entertainment spectrum to show off their ballroom skills (or lack thereof) on season 10 of 'Dancing With the Stars' (Mon., March 22, 8PM ET on ABC). This year, there aren't any outsized fan bases among the participants, as there was last season with Donny Osmond, who took home the show's mirror-ball trophy over competition that was a little more polished on the dance floor. Hopefully, that means the results will be decided more by dance ability than popularity. Here's how we rank the season 10 contestants and their odds of winning:

A second look at Reno 911!, season six
by Nick Zaino, posted Jul 9th 2009 2:04PM
When I first wrote about the cast changes for season six of Reno 911!, a few readers were disappointed that their favorite deputies were killed in a tragic taco stand explosion. Clementine (Wendi McLendon-Covey), Garcia (Carlos Alazraqui), and Kimball (Mary Birdsong) all died, and were replaced this season with Deputy Frank Rizzo (Joe Lo Truglio) and Sergeant Jack Declan (Ian Roberts). Clementine and Garcia were both part of the show since the beginning, and were often the most appealing characters on the show. The racial tension between Garcia and Deputy Jones (Cedric Yarbrough) was a fun plotline, and Clementine's undercover pot bust at a head shop was one of my favorite scenes. Kimball came aboard in season three, and had her adherents, as well.
Do Not Disturb -- An early look
by Jason Hughes, posted Sep 10th 2008 11:02AM

In the behind-the-scenes interviews the network sent along with the pilot, the entire cast and the creator described Do Not Disturb, premiering tonight at 9:30/8:30 Central, as an "upstairs-downstairs" workplace comedy. Creator Abraham Higginbotham (Arrested Development) based the show on his time at the Paramount Hotel in the '90s. "It's Freaks and Geeks in a hotel," he said. "You've got your upstairs crowd where you have to basically turn in a photo to be approved to work where you come into face contact with guests. And then downstairs, anybody can work there because they're the people doing all the real work."
Unfortunately, if this is going to be the major thrust of the series going forward, they picked a pretty poor episode to establish that for the pilot. "Work Sex" tackled sex and promiscuity, which are such powerful subjects in this country they tend to overwhelm everything. And since the show is trying to introduce its premise, characters, relationships and the dynamics of its ensemble at the same time, it may have been better to launch with a subject a little less dominating. In fact, I didn't really get the struggle between the two groups at all.
The Inn is in, but Kelsey & Patty are dumped
by Allison Waldman, posted May 10th 2008 12:36PM
Fox has made the call, and it's a big "see ya later" for Kelsey Grammer and Patricia Heaton. But their loss is someone else's gain. The pilot for the Jason Bateman directed comedy series The Inn has been picked up for a 13-week commitment, while Back to You has been axed. The Brad Garrett-Joely Fisher sitcom, Til Death, meanwhile, has been given another year.Bateman, who starred in Arrested Development -- the Emmy-award winning comedy that the network dumped unceremoniously because of low ratings -- was behind the camera for The Inn pilot. The show, which is about the haves and have-nots in a fancy, five-star New York City hotel, has a promising cast of funny folks including Niecy Nash (Reno 911!), Jerry O'Connell (who looks like Jason's twin), and the really hilarious Jesse Tyler Ferguson (remember him on The Class -- he was so funny!).
