Night of the LIving Dead
For the rest of the month, TV is all Halloween, all the time
by Kona Gallagher, posted Oct 16th 2009 2:04PM

I visited the pumpkin patch last weekend and totally massacred a 30 lb. pumpkin and feasted on its flesh, so I am officially in the Halloween spirit. Luckily, there's a crapload of TV to help sustain my ghoulish mood. TV Tango has compiled a pretty comprehensive list of Halloween-themed programming starting today and going through the rest of the month.
Some of the highlights include a Moonlight marathon starting today on SyFy, as part of their "31 Days of Halloween" programming. On Sunday, The Simpsons is airing their 20th "Treehouse of Horror" episode, while Monday has a some good kids' fare, with Halloween-themed America's Funniest Home Videos on ABC Family, and Pooh's Heffalump Halloween Movie on Disney.

George Romero's zombies to invade Medium this Halloween
by Mike Moody, posted Aug 4th 2009 7:00PM
Zombies are everywhere these days. The walking dead have invaded Marvel Comics, Jane Austen books, and they'll soon be chomping on brains in a galaxy far, far away. This Halloween, Patricia Arquette will face off against a classic undead army in an upcoming episode of Medium. That's right, Medium!
Show creator Glenn Gordon Caron said an upcoming Halloween-themed episode will insert Arquette's character into scenes from George Romero's original Night of the Living Dead film. It's part a dream sequence that would not have happened if the show had stayed on NBC.
Supernatural: Croatoan

(S02E09) Gahhhhh. So close. If you watched this episode, you know just what has me frustrated so. But more on that later. First, let's talk about another great episode. The opening got me with the dream trick again. I know Sam has those dreams, so I should be expecting it, but there I was, hook in cheek, surprised when it cut to Sam waking up. It was a great way to open the episode. When Duane was screaming "It's not in me." I thought of The Thing. The demon virus going around turned out to be a pretty clever way to do a zombie episode, without zombies. When Sarge was peeking out the window at all of the crazed residents waiting on them I had a flash of Night of the Living Dead. Which was the intent I suppose since Dean referenced the movie right after that.
