'Nip/Tuck' (10PM, FX) series finale
Minor spoiler alert: If you were expecting some over-the-top finale for our favorite Beverly Hills plastic surgeons, you're going to be surprised. Instead, the Emmy-winning drama, created by 'Glee' creator Ryan Murphy, wraps up with storylines that are true to the characters we've come to know and love for six seasons. For Sean (Dylan Walsh) and Christian (Julian McMahon) that will mean tough decisions about the future of McNamara/Troy, while Liz continues to celebrate her pregnancy and make plans for her own future. The good doctors also have a big family dinner before Julia takes the kids to Europe and perform a cosmetic procedure on a senior citizen porn star, while both Sean and Christian try to keep Matt from making another colossally bad decision about the evil Ava (Famke Janssen).

Husband and Wife Pair on 'Nip/Tuck' Separate for New Pilots

by Jason Hughes, posted Mar 2nd 2010 10:30PM
Dylan Walsh & Joely Richardson, 'Nip/Tuck'It looks like the McNamara's of 'Nip/Tuck' won't be getting back together anytime soon. With the popular FX series wrapping its run this season, The Hollywood Reporter tells us that both Dylan Walsh and Joely Richardson, who played the couple, have scored roles in new pilots.

One of the fun things about long-running series coming to an end is speculating on what kind of roles the actors will wind up in next. While some go to movies, and some seem to fade away into behind-the-scenes work, or even other professions entirely, many immediately look to continue working on existing and new series.

After getting so familiar with seeing an actor or actress in a certain role, it can be jarring to try and imagine them as a completely different character. For example, Walsh will be going from a smooth plastic surgeon to a bad-ass government agent, while Richardson is transforming into a high-powered attorney.

'Nip/Tuck' Series Finale: Looking Back at Infamous Moments

by Chris Jordan, posted Mar 2nd 2010 3:00PM
Tell us what you don't like about yourself?

Well, we sometimes felt guilty about enjoying 'Nip/Tuck' so much. All the gratuitous sex, hot bodies and unbounded narcissism could be a bit of an indulgence. But while 'Nip/Tuck,' on the surface, was a flashy treat of soft-core porn, operatic slasher movies and trashy soap operas, it did speak to our society's fixation with appearance.

The show was strange, but it wasn't stupid.

Matt McNamara Ditches His Fiance on 'Nip/Tuck' (VIDEO)

by Jane Boursaw, posted Feb 25th 2010 5:30AM
Nip/Tuck, Matt McNamara, Jon HensleyIt's always a bad sign when the groom rushes out of his wedding right before the nuptials are set to take place. Even worse when he hops into a waiting limo with a hot brunette, leaving his other hot brunette at the altar.

It's definitely a high-class problem for Matt McNamara on 'Nip/Tuck' (Wed., 10PM ET on FX). Did he make the right decision? Did he pick the right hot brunette?

Christian Troy Goes Under the Knife on 'Nip/Tuck' (VIDEO)

Nip/Tuck, Christian TroyAny time Joan Rivers shows up in your dream, it's officially turned into a nightmare. That's what happens to Dr. Christian Troy on 'Nip/Tuck' (Wed., 10PM ET on FX), as he faces his own surgery.

But things get even worse when he ends up as a table centerpiece with an apple in his mouth. "Such a pretty pig ... very pretty ..." note his blond dinner companions. Well, you can't argue with that. He is kind of pretty. For a pig.

What to Watch: February 17

'Nip/Tuck' (10PM, FX)
Including tonight's installment, there are just three episodes left before docs and begrudging BFFs Sean and Christian ride off into the TV land sunset and, quite frankly, we're still a little worried about what's going to become of them before the series finale. Especially after tonight's adventures, which find Christian questioning everything about his past, present and future. The callous Dr. Troy is visited by faces from his past -- Kimber, Joan Rivers and his evil dad among them -- just as he and Sean are told that plastic surgery "is so 2004." Liz has a little drama of her own when she falls for a married woman who has an, um, unusual sexual reaction, but it's Drs. Troy and McNamara who may end up having to deal with the drama of finding out their surgical skills are rapidly becoming obsolete.

Nip/Tuck, Sean and ChristianFirst Julian says, "This is what you do. You diminish me so that I need you." Then Christian says, "How long are you going to keep blaming me for how much you hate your life?"

Oh those squabbling docs on 'Nip/Tuck' (Wed., 10PM ET on FX). In the words of 'Ladies' Home Journal,' can this marriage be saved? Who knows, but we love watching them try.

Rosie O'Donnell may not be voicing her opinions on 'The View' anymore, but she's still letting America know how she feels.

The outspoken and philanthropic Daytime Emmy-winner's next project is the HBO special 'A Family Is a Family Is a Family: A Rosie O'Donnell Celebration,' set to air Sunday, Jan. 31 at 4 p.m. The documentary's goal is to heighten America's understanding of nontraditional families.

AOL was on the scene at the recent TV Critics Association's winter press tour when O'Donnell shared her thoughts on her HBO show, the pros and cons of TV versus radio and possibly guest-starring on 'Glee.'

The Show Girl Sounds Off on 'The Deep End,' 'Archer,' '24' and 'Nip/Tuck' - VIDEO

Katee SackhoffYou've got questions? I've got answers. I'm The Show Girl!

This week, I have a preview of ABC's new legal dramedy 'The Deep End' -- which is sort of like 'Grey's Anatomy' at a law firn -- straight from stars Billy Zane and Tina Majorino. I also get funny lady Aisha Tyler to beg another 'Arrested Development' alum (they already have two!) to come on her new animated comedy 'Archer.'

Then there's Katee Sackhoff. She's officially my new favorite actress, and now she's on '24,' but her answer to my sort of controversial 'Nip/Tuck' question -- why did they get all soap opera-y and keep your character but replace you with Rose McGowan? -- is equal parts lovely and hilarious.

Want more? Email me TV questions at TheTVShowGirl@aol.com -- who knows, I might just give you an answer on the show. Now watch, enjoy and come back next week for more. Until then, happy TV watching! -- By Maggie Furlong

What to Watch: January 6

'Nip/Tuck' – It's only appropriate that as Sean and Christian and their 'Nip/Tuck' cohorts prepare to ride off into the sunset -- this is the seventh and final season premiere for the over-the-top drama -- we get a flashback episode that finally explains how the very different Sean and Christian became partners in the first place. As the fellas head back to their alma mater to accept a prestigious award (one which, Sean is unhappy to learn, wasn't so much earned as purchased), Sean takes a trip down memory lane and recalls how a young Christian alienated him from his fellow college students, talked him into pursuing plastic surgery as a career and ultimately cost him admission to Harvard Medical School. Could this be the beginning of the end of not only the series, but of a, not exactly beautiful, but certainly complicated, friendship? (10PM, FX) season 7 premiere

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 'Glee' co-creator has just inked a two-year, seven-figure development deal with 20th Century Fox. The deal will allow him to create new projects for the studio, while continuing to work on 'Glee.'
